This Rocky kid's outdoor boot is styled to resemble and be just as durable as an adult's hunting boot. The upper has been crafted from a combination of brown split-suede leather, extraordinarily-strong nylon (900 Denier) and it has a Mossy Oak Infinity camouflage print so that they can blend in with the woods. The kid's boot also has a lace-up design on its upper, this will make their feet feel secure within the footwear and allow them to adjust the fit. In the past you would worry about your child coming into contact with puddles, wet grass, creeks, or even snow because you feared that their boots would end up getting soaked. This kid's boot is little different; it has been made with Rocky waterproof construction, which serves as a guarantee that these boots will remain completely dry. During the colder months of the year, you'll love that your child is wearing this footwear because it has 800 grams of Thinsulate Ultra Insulation. The insulation is lightweight, so it won't weigh the boots down or disrupt the fit, but your child's feet will be kept warm while they are outdoors. The TPR rubber outsole offers reliable traction, which allows your child to have stable footing as they are walking on uneven ground throughout the countryside. With its durable materials, waterproof protection and reliable warmth, this Rocky Kid's Waterproof Insulated Outdoor Boot (#3710) is an excellent option for your child.

I bought these boots a couple of weeks ago after my 7 year old Bearclaws finally fell apart. They're very comfortable and the fit perfectly.

This is the 2nd pair of Rocky boots I've purchased for my son. He loves them and says they're the most comfortable pair of boots he's ever worn.

I originally wrote this review in mid-December of 2016. I finally got around to posting it now.
We live in Southwestern, PA (mentioned so you know what type of weather we live in, cool autumns, and often cold and snowy winters). When purchased, our son was 5 years old, around 45 pounds, about 47 inches tall, and very active. We do play a lot (after school, on weekends, after church, anytime we are not at school or work), so he definitely got some use out of these boots.
We bought these almost exactly a year ago for our then 5-year-old kindergartener. He wore them to school every day from mid-December to around the end of April. However, once at school, he always changed out of them and wore his "running" shoes. He also used these as his play outside in the snow boots. Yes, we still do that. He built snowman families, sled rode, and hiked in these boots. And finally, when the colder weather started, around the beginning of December this year (2016), he started wearing them again.
The good:
1. He likes the way they look.
2. He never once had wet feet.
3. He never complained of cold feet (although read below).
The bad (from a father's view point)
1. The soles wore out, literally through three of the tread lugs on the heel of one of the boots into the hollow air pocket above the sole. The exact same thing occurred on the other boot, but it has only worn through on two of the tread lugs. The irritating part about this is that this happened within the first two months of his wearing them.
2. When we would come in from playing outside, I would help him get out of his winter outer layers. This includes his boots. His toes were freezing cold to the touch.
3. When I bought these, I was under the impression that Rocky Bots were made in the U.S.A.. However, I was very disappointed to find that this style/model is Made In China.

These boots are excellent in quality materials and construction. They do run 1/2 to a size larger then expected. Most of this size disparity is due to a wide toe. The boots are very warm and extremely waterproof.

I bought a pair of these to wear for archery season and BOTH shoes split in the sole in exact same area during the second season. So, in essence, they split within two months of use. Very disappointed.

This is my son's second pair of Rocky boots. But only because he outgrew the first pair they are great sturdy boots.

Bought these for my son for the Youth Turkey Hunt in New Mexico. He put a lot of miles on them and climbed 6 Mountains. We hunted 3 days hard and he never complained about his feet hurting. At one point it rained really hard and his boots were wet, you could see the suede was really wet and his feet stayed dry. Thanks Rocky Boots.
