Great boots i have weird feet so the left boot is always tighter than right. I went to rerurn thenm because of this but the guys at boot barn suggested putting them on a stretcher to stretch out the width. Glad they did. Im in love with these boots. They're a little on the dressy dide do i wont wear them everyday but theyre great boots.

Feel good and comfortable straight out of the box. They are sitting here absorbing "parade gloss" boot polish to soften, waterproof and shine. You know the type of shine required on army dress boots - that kind of shine. Very happy with my purchase - my older Dan Post boots (5 years) are still going strong.

I’m new to the Cowboy Boot community and was looking did a pair of boots fit my father. These boots seemed of good quality (though they arrived with a singular scratch on the bottom, so be aware that it could affect returns even without trying on your boots!). However, the boots were so narrow that my father could not even begin to try them on. A sizing chart for boot beginners would be extremely helpful.

Hubby has high instep & wide foot & ectremely hard to fit & EE are too wide. Ended up with a D with, and a half size larger than normal. Then left them at store for a stretch for 2 days! When he tried to put them on, they fit perfect! Thx to Rosemary Gaeta @ BB for taking time to help us. Hubby says they are comfy & likes the rounded toe! Who hoo!

Received two pairs, black and tan exactly on time. The black pair is really gorgeous with contrasting coloring on the shaft. The tan are also beautiful with a more muted contrasting stitching on the shaft and is also a bit lighter in color than the picture, though still really beautiful. The fit is perfect right out of the box and is immediately comfortable . A really great buy for the price.

I went to some local stores and tested the sizing. I wear a 9 1/2 D in a shoe but decided on a EW. But I discovered through my foot doctor, this amazing insert for my plantar fasciitis, called Power Sport. So I got a 10EW to have room for the insert. Without the insert it is a half size too big. This was self experimentation and it worked. I wear the boots most every day and I love them.

I bought these boots as a Christmas present for my husband who has been wanting western boots for as long as I can remember. I was originally trying to buy him an Ariat boot after reading all the reviews on the comfort many purchasers wrote about, however, they only came in a 15 with no extra wide available. After contemplating for so long, I have in and bought these great looking boots and boy aren’t I happy I did. My husband wants to wear them everywhere, but also doesn’t want to wear them because he says they’re too good. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and they fit my husband perfectly! It is incredibly hard to buy for him given his wide feet, but these boots are hands down the best fit in a shoe he has ever had. We will definitely be buying more Dan Post boots in the future.

This is the first pair of cowboy boots that I've had in about 62 years, in other words, since I was 6 years old and riding the range with Hoppy and Gabby on Saturday mornings. This pair is just as comfortable and has the same great looks and leather smell as I remember from my first pair. Now, at 67, I'm getting used to walking on a high stirrup boot heel, all over again and loving every minute of it. Moreover, I'm the envy of every little bronc buster on my block. Yee-haw!

I currently have 4 pairs of Dan Post boots. All I have to do is enter the size and color and order them from Shepler's. When you wear a 13EW, that is a big plus. I have ordered several pairs from here. The size is always right. The quality is excellent and consistent. I can't wait to get my next pair.

I have several pair of western style boots. I have had the best luck with the Dan Post brand as far as comfort and reliability and of course their styling is beautiful. The Dan Post boots I've purchased in the past have all had the Made in U.S.A label which had an influence on my purchase of these. They're made in Mexico which is not surprising I guess. I have some Tony Lama boots that were made in..... China! AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! That said, these Made in Mexico Dan Post boots ain't too bad. They don't need to be broken in. They are comfortable and they look nice.

Bought these boots for my son. They look amazing and fit amazing. It is great that Boot Barn sells boots in larger sizes as they saved the day for my son. Anyway, he decided to wear them on a walk around the block to start wearing them in. The black on the bottom was almost completely gone and a scuff in the side of the boot started peeling after one walk. Hopefully they last as he needs them for a costume in his school musical!

I love Dan Post boots. They're always comfortable, always fit well, and always have excellent build quality. These are basic brown dress boots that can be worn with jeans, dress pants, or a full suit. If they're anything like the Dan Post boots they're replacing, I'll have them for 10+ years.

So happy to finally find a pair of narrow fit boots. I normally wear AAA or AA width in Lucchese and Naconas (when I can find them on eBay). These obviously aren't that narrow, but with a good thick pair of socks, they fit better than any others. Great built, very comfortable. Would buy again, likely will in brown.

Not sure what the deal is, but I ordered the exact same size boot, same style, as a pair I currently have. Couldn't even get my foot into the brown pair I ordered. I have a total of (5) pair of Dan Post, some with "snip" toe, and some with "medium" toe. All are size 10 EW, and all of them fit just fine, a few of them i have had for over 20 years. Again, not sure what was the issue, the boots i received and the box indicated they too were 10 EW, but I really think they were miss labelled. I am sure the issue had nothing to do with Sheplers, they seem like a stand up company, even accepted my return of the boots, waiting now for the credit to be issued back to my card.

This is my third pair of Dan Post Mignon boots. I love the boots and wear a pair every day. My only complaint is width selection. My foot is between the D and EEE widths. As a result I wear extra thick or two pairs of socks.

I bought this exact same model boot a couple weeks ago, but they are python skin....Gorgeous. But more than that they are the most comfortable boots I ever had. I'm a farmer...needed work boots, so I bought this pair from cowhide, as work boots. They are comfortable, also, beautiful so I polished 'em up good to protect them from the mud and water and dust on the farm. Guess I'll have to be cleaning them carefully and frequently. I would and will buy them again, and again.

Don,t know what an old gimmer like me,here in the West of Ireland, is doing wearing cowboy boots, but Ive always wondered how they,d feel and thats good and comfortable mounted or not.First shopped at Sheplers in Denver Colorado,on my way back from a ranch holiday run by some really nice people a couple of years ago. I placed my order Monday afternoon and was trying them on Thursday morning. that,s service.The carrier presented a bill for the import duty and extra delivery charge,that just about doubled Sheplers invoice.I still think these boots are worth it

ordering by way of catalog or internet one might tend to think that you would not receive a perfect fit on what ever it may be that you bought. Well I ordered a pair of Dan Post boots. They fit great, feel great. for a boot they are not heavy at all, .I could walk all day in them I think. I know about Dan post boots cause I bought a pair in 1974 when I lived in Wyoming, and I still wear them today. My old ones are brown and these are black. Look like a dress shoe.

It is great that merchants have finally started offering boots for large feet. These boots are 15 W and actually are 15 W. So many makers now do not make them by the correct size. I will be ordering another pair down the line.

I bought these beautiful boots online as a christmas gift for my wonderful husband of 30 years and not only did they arrive in plenty of time, they were absolutely perfect! My husband (Jerry) takes pride in the boots that he wears so he usually has to try them on before he purchases them so i worried that they wudnt fit right. I worried for nothing! They fit perfectly! This is my first pair of Dan Post boots, normally I wear Tony Lama boots. I bought this pair of Dan Post boots online for my birthday after trying a on a pair in the store but didn't buy them because of the price. The pair I bought online was not exactly the same style that I tried on in the store and the fit is not exactly the same either, and they are a little uncomfortable, but I need the boots, so I will keep them in hopes that I will find that pair that fit exactly right the next time and buy them on the spot no matter what. Lesson Learned you get what ya pay for and look for Made In America label.

Exactly what I was looking for - well crafted traditional boots at a fair price. The Dan Post black mignon leather boots have a classic cowboy boot look without all the excessive flair that many boot makers are pushing these days. My biggest concern prior to purchase was based on the stock photos which make them look super shiny. I like a shined boot, but I didn't want them so pretty that I would like I was "all hat and no saddle". Not to worry! The leather has just enough of a sheen that they look amazing in any situation - wearing them with a suit to the office or a pair of blue jeans on the weekend. The soles are super comfortable - best I've ever experienced with boots. Make sure you measure your feet to get the right size and you will feel like you are wearing slippers from day one! Shepler's customer service was exceptional. I had a really bad experience trying to buy boots direct from a manufacturer's online site once (NOT Dan Post - let's just say they are the second best boot maker in El Paso TX) - never again! They took my money, never sent me the product and then made me wait months to get a refund. Lesson learned - let the boot makers build 'em and let amazing retailers like Shepler's sell 'em!

These boots look fantastic, are well made and fit well. The quality of the leather seems to be excellent - and the leather smells like leather. The only point to prevent a five-star rating is that there in no cushion in soles.

Being a Marine, I spit shine all of my foot wear, thus I appreciate the quality of the leather of this boot, I was easily able to bring up a base when applying a spit shine "approximately 4 hours", to this fine leather, and have had more than one positive comment, I have even been asked if they were patent leather even though they are dark brown. Mainly because of the comfort of a good Western Boot, as well as the in my opinion the "good looks", this is the second pair of Western Boots for me, and now have bought a black from Sheplers as well, now have Dark brown, black and tan western boots, and am well pleased with Quality, Price, and quick delivery from Sheplers.

I have read so many posts and reviews about Dan Post boots, and after finally making a decision, I decided to order from this website, and I am astonished! Not only the quality of the boots are second to none, but the service and delivery time. It’s uncanny how quickly my order arrived. The boots fit like a glove too. I ordered a size 10 even though I’m really a size 9.5, and with one (1) pair of construction socks, the boots slip on and off effortlessly, yet without feeling loose while walking in them.

I have worn western boots for over 40 years. Out of the 4 pair I currently have, I feel these will be my favorite. The fit is perfect and the cushioned insoles are wonderful. This is the first pair I have ordered online and while I was concerned about proper fit, these were perfect. The leather is soft and the color exactly as pictured. I plan on ordering another pair in a different color.

My first pair of western boots, good value for the price. I eventually swapped out the stock inserts because I do not think they are the most comfortable. As for sizing, I usually wear a 13-14 wide size shoe, I ordered a 13 EE and it fits good. Was a little on the loose side until they broke in. Do keep in mind that as these boots wear and distress, they become more red. The tips of mine almost look like I spilled red paint on them. Overall I do recommend these.

Seems to be a good boot for the price point. I have a wide foot and wear a 12 EE. Not an easy size to find in cowboy boots with a round toe. I like that they offer the wide width. They fit good. I gave 4 stars because I thought there could have been a bit more comfortable in ball of the foot. Needs more padding. I bought an insole and is working well. I bought these for a semi dress boot. I have gotten compliments on them. I have only had them about 2 weeks.

My first pair of Dan Post boots. The boot is very handsome picture does it no justice. Even in extra wide its a very narrow boot but fit was good. I work in NYC and wore them for work 1 day. Very comfortable as far as the feet go. The bad: the left boot at the top rim, the stitching and finish was so rough it actually cut the skin off of my leg! I mean bleeding. Never had that happen over many pairs of boots. Poor quality control! Have to bring them to a shoe maker to get that area smoothed out.

I bought these boots as a surprise for my partner and I was very impressed with the little time they took to arrive here in Australia (1 week). The boots are very well made with quality detail and my partner finds them very comfortable to wear, although they were a little tight to get on and off for the first few wears. I feel that these boots will last a long time and can be dressed up (such as when we go out dancing) or dressed down (around the farm). We are both satisfied with the purchase.

The boots are exceptionally easy to wear and quite comfortable, even being very new. I did have to return boots twice, since I was sent the wrong width. The first came directly from Dan Post. Each time I contacted Sheplers and they sent UPS an authorization to pick the boots up and in three days they made their first attempt. .

Absolutely nothing to complain about, but UK buyers need to allow for £30 for import duty & VAT. The end price in UK £, given the cost of shipping and taxes, is equal to the dollar price. $140 = £140. Still great value. And UK size 13 = US size 14, remember.

When I recieved the Boot I couldnt help but return them as they are shiny and plasticaty looking and cheap. Also I was not satisfied with Sheplers as I had to pay return shipping but I was glad to because i could not see my self keeping them ! Overall I think Sheplers sell "overpriced" Merchandise and after this first and ONLY experience with the company I will never do business with Sheplers again.

the boot catches my ankle bone on the right foot where the hard heel portion meets the rest of it. It hurts, and I'm trying to figure out what to do about it. Until then, they are un-wearable. Suggestions as to what I can do??

I've worn Dan Post for over, well I'm not going to say, but they are the same quality as when I was a young man. To this day, I can order the same size and they always fit like a glove. You can't say that about every boot.

I bought these boots and received them in a very timely fashion. However I found that the size was too small. I returned then for a exchange for a larger size, It has taken 10 days since I returned by US Mail. As of today I have not received an E-Mail that the larger size hasw been sent. To me this is unacceotable. Plese follow-up and sen d me the larger size that I requester. Thank you for a prompt reply.

I am very happy with my Dan Post Mignon Boots. The fit is very good, and the finish is excellent. Over the past 75 years, I have worn boots from many makers, including Luchese, Tony Lama, and a couple of customs. These Dan Post boots are up there with the best of them.

Boots look great but I couldn't get my foot down in them without a lot of work. When I finally got my foot in the boot it fit great. Took them to boot shop to have them stretched. Hope this solves the problem.

I bought these to have a plain black pair of boots to just wear whenever... My other boots are a pair of snakeskin Lucchese's, so even though I love those too, they can be a bit flashy at times... these boots are perfect for $150... they go with anything, look great, and they feel awesome... they are so comfortable, they felt broke in already, and they seem as durable as they come. I highly recommend these boots, and when/if they wear out, I will definitely buy another pair. Great prices, SUPER FAST shipping... I'm buying my next pair from Sheplers.

I was disappointed in the boot. I've had Dan Post before and felt they had better "fit" quality control. I can see no reason to buy a DP, might as well buy a cheaper boot... quality is the same. Looks like now you are paying for a name and not a quality boot!

The boots seem to be of excellent quality, rolled and pegged, and all the qualities of a good boot. The only problem is I am now having to order 10 D boots which are slightly shorter than the 10 1/2 C size I have worn for at least the last 65 years. It appears no one makes a 10 1/2 C boot anymore.

It´s difficult to buy boots online. It´s all about the instep, the width and the length of the boot in addition to the quality of the boot itself. While I had mediocre experiences with other boots that should have fit well according to previous information and that had to be stretched these Dan Posts fit like when I bought boots in a store. I got into them and they fit. That´s good. We´ll see how they hold up. When they do, they´re gonna be the ones I´ll buy again. (been wearing boots for the last 30 years or so; the best ones were O´Lathe´s [from Kansas] followed by Tony Lama´s [from the US] and Acme´s) To buy online well, you´ll have to research the product well.

I really like these boots, I just recieved my third consecutive pair. My only complaint is that my last pair seemed to get worn out at the sole stitching sooner than I had figured. Good boots usually last me more than one year with everyday use. The last pair were slightly less than a year and the sole wore through. I'm giving the boots the benefit of doubt and trying again. I'm hopeing the sole holds up better on this pair.

I wear a size 9 dress shoe. Size 9 Ariat fits perfectly as well. Size 9 in these Dan Posts were far too large. Even with 3 pairs of socks on, it felt like I was wearing clown shoes. Hope this can help any online shoppers. Beautiful boot though.

The boots sent were the wrong color. I ordered Mignon color and Sheplers sent me black boots. At first I thought it was just the lighting when I put them on but then when I looked at them outside in the sunshine I noticed they were black, but by then it was too late because the sole was now scuffed. If you have a narrow foot, try Dan Post boots. My 12 B boots fit extremely well without inserts. The look and feel great and had lots of compliments. They fit well inside my Wrangler 13MWZ jeans. Fantastic boots and have to say the delivery time was super fast considering I live in the UK. Ok there was an import charge of £42 GBP but honestly I was expecting it to be more and I am in awe of how fast these boots got to me ..I've ordered items in the UK that have taken longer. Now to the boots and Sheplers : Boots are fantastic quality, your really getting your money's worth ..I got the sizing a little wrong I ordered a 15ee as in past purchases of cowboy boots I have found them to be too small but not in this case they're a bit too big which is rectifiable with insoles ..I'm looking to re-order a second pair but this time order a 13ee and Sheplers as a company I cannot fault, Great friendly communication and efficient service....You've definitely got this over seas custom...Many Thanks

The replacement boots were new and in the proper packaging. The size of the boots matched. The first pair I received looked they were pulled off a rack the sizes were not the same and they came in a plain brown box with no packing or identifying paperwork. After I called Sheplers they replaced the boots and gave me a discount off the replacement pair. Very happy with the Dan Post boots!

It is difficult to find boots in a B width. Fortunately, I found more than one choice in the Shepler selection. Finding a boot in an exact fit is not easy. The Dan Posts are just the number. Am I the only person who has a narrow foot? I don't think so!

These are handsome boots, tastefully styled and graceful, with quality construction and color that's rich and even -- much nicer than what shows on the computer screen. The fit is true to size and comfortable -- and that's hard to find for my narrow width. It took me two tries to get the right size, but Sheplers makes exchanges fast and simple. I give 'em 6 stars for service. I'm a bit uncertain about some of the leather graining but don't expect any real problems. I can't rate reliability because I've only had them for a week.

I love the look of the Dan Post Mignons and they fit wonderfully the first time out. The acid test for me will be in how well the inner counter (the heel lining at the bottom of the leg) holds up to putting the boot on.

I bought these a number of years ago and throughly LOVED THEM. They were buttery soft and as comfortable as a pair of soft slippers super smooth on the inside and out. The pair I just purchased are stiff and roughly finish inside. NOT very comfortable!! I'm NOT happy!!!

The Dan Post Mignon boots I ordered from Sheplers are an outstanding value. They are well made, fit well and look great. A word of caution, the Extra Wide width means extra wide. However, Sheplers outstanding customer service team replaced my EW width boots with D width boots within 7 days. Result - perfect fit and a happy customer!

Boots feel comfortable, they are stylish, seem durable. They are warm, but my feet are dry. They feel half size to big, but when I put insoles, size was just right. Until you break them they feel stiff, but after while they "fit like a glove".

The actual boot itself held up well. The material is top-notch and has a nice smooth feel even if you aren't wearing longer "boot socks" with them. Unfortunately, the sole is put together like a cheaper, low-end boot. Maybe $175 isn't necessarily high-end, but I expect it to hold up for a little better than a cheaper $99 pair of Laredos. I wore these boots with light wear-and-tear into an office environment and the soles were coming off within the first 4-5 months. I'm very disappointed and will not be buying Dan Post again unless I find them for a discount price.

I bought the boots around 4/13/19, and received them shortly after. Now the last few days of September, same year and the boots outsoles are nearly shot. There is a small piece of metal exposed that makes a clicking sound when I walk in the office. I know they’re not the most expensive but I’d hoped they’d lasted longer than 6 months. I dont want to go through 2 pair per year.

Quality construction and great look. The 'black cherry' is basically black with the slightest hint of red in bright light so if you already have enough black boots, pick another color.

I am very pleased with my new boots. The appearance and workmanship is very good. I chose the color to wear with both black and brown. The only reason for not giving a five star rating is that I was only able to get them in a B width when I am an A. Apparently no manufacturer provides A width today. I have 3 pairs of Nacona boots purchased about 20 years ago in my size, 12A. These slip a bit, but are adequate for my use.

I wasn’t sure what size to order because in some shoes I wear an eleven and a half, and some an eleven. I went to a shoe store and had my foot measured and it was eleven wide. I called Sheplers and she said the boots run true to size, so I ordered an eleven wide. When I put them on, they fit perfect. They seem to be really well made and the black cherry looks awesome.

The Dan Post Boots look like the uppers are made of plastic; the info on inside of boots say leather soles and leather upper. I would like to return them for credit or get something else. I am not pleased at all. I have had DP boots in the past that looked great and that was the reason I purchased these DP boots thinking they would be the same quality as in the past. Let me know if I can return them. I have worn them only 2 times. I still have the box and purchase info.

I also own the light brown version and like them a lot so decided to get the black. I wear them to work occassionally but use them mainly for social outings. They really look great with good fitting low bootcut jeans. I can dance with them all night with ease and comfort. Sheplers is a great store with outstanding service to Canada. I am now a regular customer.

My family is a big fan of Dan Posts boots as we all have them so when the time came for my youngest to get a pair, he selected Dan's as well (though he had the full option of other boots). The boots are well-made and feel comfortable under foot. Their muted design was idea and reflects the individuality of the wearer -- quality but not flashy or trendy. The dark cherry color is the perfect blend of dress and everyday wear giving them a broader range of suitability when worn. We have had this boot for a week and it appears to be consistent with previous Dan Post's purchases in overall production quality and durability. Time will tell.
