My husband loves these shirts
JKzD
Feb 16, 2013
My husband bought this shirt at a local store and absolutely loved it until I accidentally spilled some bleach on it. I felt so terrible that I quickly ordered him 2 replacement shirts! The shirts are made of a very stiff and durable canvas material. Others seem to dislike the material, but this is why my husband likes them. He likes to wear them for outdoor work, or when he goes out shooting. He did mention some chaffing in the chest area, but he wears an under shirt and it's fine. They are kind of like wearing a work glove on your arms and torso! My husband likes to joke that if he were to get into a knife fight while wearing this shirt, he would walk away unscathed;-) If you are looking for a tough work shirt, I'd say this is a good bet, although it might not be the best for hot weather. (He gives it a 4 out of 5 only because of the chaffing issue.)

Way too stiff a fabric, chafes the neck, even after washing.

They call me the cowboy killer, pipe fitter and fire pump mechanic working 24/7 on call. These shirts are put threw the test day in day out really durable and the snap buttons are great and look good as they say 1st impression on a customer will make you or break you. Thanks again Wrangler Lou-Dog

I have been wearing Wrangler shirts from Drysdale for a long time. The current Wrangler shirts from the Boot Barn are like wearing a piece of cardboard---even after washing them a few times ----never again

Love the Chambray, Wish it Came in True White

I have this shirt in chambray and really like it. I pair it most often with Cowboy Cut Original Fit Prewashed Jeans because I need a slightly dressier look. The fabric is a nice weight, has good structure, and readily accepts starching and pressing to come out looking great. A true white version of this shirt, with the heavier fabric and embroidered pockets with the pocket logo, would appear much better in business settings than the long sleeve snap broadcloth shirt. For these reasons I wish this shirt came in true white.

I've been wearing the stonewashed 7127 denim shirts for years. They fit good, hold up very well and they don't shrink. I usually get a few years out of them. Bought several of the MS7 in the large size (same size I wear in the stonewashed), they fit perfectly until the first wash, which was in cold water (wife washes everything in cold water and does not use a dryer). They shrunk one size. These shirts now fit my 120 pound 5 foot 4 inch wife. My concern is if I order the X-large will the gut be to big even after it shrinks? I'm 5 foot 10 inches, 180 pounds and no gut.

My husband has worn these shirts for years. However, Wrangler has stopped hemming the bottom of the shirts and they continually roll up. Please fix this, it looks bad and the past 4 shirts have been just like this. The other issue that we've noticed and I have read several reviews is the shrinkage. He buys at least 2 sizes larger and the last shirts have shrunk even more than the previous ones. Please fix the issue so we can continue to purchase your item.

I love these Wrangler COWBOY CUT® FIRM FINISH LONG SLEEVE WESTERN SNAP SOLID WORK SHIRT and even though I rated them as poor quality I would still recommend them. The reason I rated them poor is fit . . . I recently bought 2 of these shirts in large size at Tractor Supply, both shirts were the same style one was denim and the other was tan (khaki?). The denim shirt fit perfectly as if it were tailored to me, not too tight and not too loose, and after 1 washing the stiffness disappeared and it became very comfortable. The tan one however was quite a different story, right from the start, even though it was labeled large, fit as if it were a medium shirt and the snaps would snap virtually at every movement and after 3 consecutive washings and soakings it was still stiff to the point that, combined with the popping snaps, it was uncomfortable to the point that I've ceased trying to wear it. As I said both shirts were off the same rack, had the same price, were of the same style, and both were manufactured, I believe, in Pakistan. My suggestion to anyone planning to purchase one of these shirts is TRY IT ON or you will waste your money on a shirt you can't wear.

Snaps were misalinged. Shirt had to be ironed after washing to make it wearable. Won't buy another one like this.

Have been wearing these for years. I remember my dad used to have these shirts for work and hunting he used them for all kinds of outdoor activities. And when I was just a kid and I used to take them when he had them broke in a little, Our local store has not had these for a while and when they do they seem to never have enough and I am happy to see I can buy them online. The shirts are stiff when new but they do soften with age and the more you wear them the more comfortable they get !!. These are heavy duty shirts, I wear these almost everyday, Hunting Fishing or Working, These shirts will take the punisment, they will hold up to all kinds of conditions warm and cold

So, the popular comment about this shirt is the over-starched look and feel. I must admit, it's a bit intimidating once you open the package. However, we plan to wash the shirt before wearing as suggested by one customer; repeatedly with fabric softener. The reason I bought the shirt was because of the color. The shirt quality is evident when you look at the stitching. The look is great.

Hi, I'm wondering if the "firm finish" will disappear after a few washes. IMO, this shirt would be perfect without the starchy quality to it. Thanks

Fabric was very, very stiff. Don't know how much of that would wash out or how quickly. Shirt was too tight to keep.

I like these shirts except that the pockets are not large enough to carry todays current smart phones. The current Android or Iphone will not fit in the pocket with the flap snapped shut. I would suggest making the pockets larger to allow these phones to be carried securely. Also was able to get a better fit when I was able to buy by neck size and sleeve length.

Beautifully and well made. We didn't realize what "firm" finish meant. It's very stiff and uncomfortable. Wrinkles like mad and drying on wrinkle prevent, gently, makes wrinkling worse.

I used the sizing chart to order large shirts, which is the size I normally wear but they are way too small. I should have read the reviews. I'll have to give them away. The fabric is very firm--purchasers should expect them to require many washings before they are comfortable for leisure wear. They are true work shirts. If buyers order one to two sizes larger and intend to use them for heavy work, they should be quite satisfied. I commend Wrangler for posting reviews on its site.

Have been looking for a quality western cut denim shirt for quite a while and these shirts met and exceeded my needs. They are comfortable, and stylish. I don't have to wear a long sleeved shirt under them to keep my arms warm when working outside. I plan to add more to my wardrobe.

The only shirt my husband likes to wear!

Extremely rugged shirt that holds up to the abuse of the ranch, oilfield, and occasional welding (especially when starched). Long lasting. Does have to be ironed. Looks great. I wish that Wrangler could have some snaps especially made with longer tines to hold the snaps on better. The fabric is so thick that they occasionally fall off and I have to replace them.

I bought my first shirt to try out. Now I'm buying several more in other colors. It's like it is permanently starched. I suggest to wash the shirt on cold, then hang dry. Use a steam iron (without starch) to press out the wrinkles. The result is a perfectly starched shirt every time and stays that way all day!

I bought these for my husband for work, he's a welder and likes the long sleeves and snaps instead of buttons. Pockets are great too.

Not much of a review, as I never got to wear them. Washed the shirts one time in cold, then air-dried them on the back of the kitchen chairs. Shirts shrunk so much as to be unwearable. Ended up giving them to my 5'4" wife for gardening shirts.

Been wearing thes shirts for a long time, i like the heavy stiff denim because the wear longer. They do soften with repeated washing. Three out of the last five i purchased the snaps came off. Dont know if this is an isolated issue . Contacted customer service, will update you on outcome

I have bought shirts from several companies over the years, and very few actually fit my torso correctly. I have a large chest, and narrow waist which means most shirts look silly when they get tucked into my pants. The Cowboy Cut from Wrangler is by far the best fitting off the rack shirt I have ever bought. I have followed the instructions for drying and the shirts have almost no noticeable shrinkage. Shirt need to be ironed before wearing, but this is expected for a 100% cotton shirt.
