I bought these boots for their comfort and ruggedness. I walk on asphalt and concrete most of the day. These boots have proven themselves in the brush and dirt. The lining is comfortable to my feet and they do breath well.

I have had timberland boots before a very good boot.

I purchased these boots as a gift for my son. While the quality and workmanship is great, the boots don't fit his feet well. I ordered his usual size, but they are short for his feet. Sorry to say, I must return them for a refund.

As is normal for honest leather boots, it took time to break them in. Once they were broke in, I have not looked back since. They are my daily wear boot in the summer now which is surprising as I really loved the boots they replaced (a set of boots which are highly regarded in my line of work as comfortable but just weren't durable enough for the cost). I typically can only get a season and a half out of pair of boots but it appears these may make it two or more.
