I always like Stetson hats, but this one does not meet my standards.

Very nice quality. Runs a little small though in size. Usually 7 3/8 is slightly too large but in this hat its slightly too small

This is my tenth Stetson Open Road, and I still have seven of them. Next to Silverbelly this beautiful Black felt fur is the most versatile color. So it’s a good thing that the only two colors Boot Barn carries in the Open Road are Black and Silverbelly. The Open Road 6X is stiffer than the Open Road Royal Deluxe, which uses the same 6X fur felt, but the latter is more flexible in the brim and the crown. It also costs more. I prefer the Open Road 6X. Either way the Open Road has a classic silhouette and is a cross between a true cowboy hat and a city-slicker fedora. The snap brim can be worn flat or with the slight natural upturn (I wear it flat), or it can be upturned in the back and flat in the front. It comes with a very narrow grosgrain (the “S” is silent) ribbon that I always remove and replace with a leather hat band with a three-piece buckle. Customize it any way you like but just make sure you wear it. And don’t worry about any comments you might get. Any clown who objects to you looking classy and cool is just showing their insecurities and jealousy.

My true hat size is 7 3/8, but you wouldn't know it from other companies' hats. Stetson's Open Road hats are sized exactly: both of mine fit precisely at 7 3/8. Besides that, the quality and style of these hats make them worth more than their price.

Stetson has lived up to its name with this one. Western top with the fedora brim is a great look. Love this hat and fits amazing.

I normally wear a size 7 Stetson, however, in this style a 7, 7 1/8 and 7 1/4 did not fit the way I like. Most likely it's just the hat design, i.e. cowboy crown and fedora type brim. Even more important to me was that I returned the hat for a refund on 21 Jan 2020 and here it is 3 Feb 2020 and I have not gotten my notice of receipt of return or the refund. Not like Sheplers to take so long for processing a refund. Still waiting to hear from Sheplers??

It was very nice, and high quality just like you would expect from a stetson. Ended up being a gift, didn't quite fit me, but that was my fault. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR SIZE! Overall if you're looking at one they're good hats, and last forever practically, this hat doesn't really sit deep on your head though just remember that.
