This boot is no good. We trusted Chippewa and they are already falling apart. $239.95 for poorly made and not supporting. We have bought Chippewa as they were very comfortable and would last. Now we have to find another boot as they are not good on cement or for enduring long days of work. Husband is a welder and we could buy one pair a year now in one month his back is hurting and the boots are falling apart. The leather is not holding up. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED and DISSATISFIED. Unfortunately he has noticed the boots have changed over the past couple of years.

Really nice boots. Easy to break in so far. It's my first pair of steel toe boots so I can't really compare that aspect. But they're comfortable and really well made. One minor "defect" keep them from being 5 stars IMHO, and that is on the right boot the tongue was sewn in such a way that it doesn't sit in the center so the tongue is always canted to the left side, despite trying to center it while lacing them up. It was also a nice surprise to find they came with a set of kilties that look pretty good but haven't had them in the woods long enough to attest to their effectiveness. Over all, they are a solid pair of boots that I would buy again and recommend anyone looking to spend around $200 for a pair of black loggers.

I thought I was buying boots made in USA instead of China . The leather seems and looks dull.

I love these boots. They are so cool but they're actually pretty lightweight and comfortable.

Bought these for riding my motorcycle. Extremely comfortable right out of the box, and haven't slipped yet "putting down my landing gear" at stoplights. Very pleased.

I'd like to give this a 2.5. There are 3 reasons why. 1) There is absolutely not arch support whatsoever - get your own insole. 2) Couple that with ZERO ankle support - there is nothing going on whatsoever for the ankle, it is completely flimsy. 3) The heel is annoyingly tall, and couple that with no angle support, it is super easy to roll your ankle. I need a nasty rugged boot for stomping around the desert and mountains, not trail hiking. Just nasty exploring. These are ok, but I can't recommend them and won't buy them again. But they are TUFF!! That is why they get the 3rd star. I have shown these boots zero mercy, kicking rocks and just going completely bonkers in them. I have yet to destroy them.
Note that this is a Chinese made Chippewa and the size runs similar to what you would wear in an Adidas / Nike running shoe. American made Chippewas run HUGE. These do not.
I bought mine at the Boot Barn in Lancaster, California.
