Only disappointment is if the boots are not available at a local base you cannot get the same military reduced rate online.

Have used them on days with low wind chills and my feet were warm all day. No snow or mud yet to give them a waterproof test. Very comfortable, easy to lace up tight.

This boot is fantastic and I will buy them again when I need to. This is my 1st pair of vortex s2-v but won't be my last.

Everything I get from Rocky is always perfect. It’s always to easy to find what you need.

I wear a 12 - 12.5 wide in all my boots / shoes and these boots are a minimum of 1.5-2 sizes too small. And they were in no way "wides." I ordered the other 400 g insulated S2V in a 13 wide too give Rocky one more try and they were still too snug for comfort and even more uncomfortable overall. I think the insoles are oversized to compensate for the poor construction in the footbed of the boot. Especially, toward the front, where you can feel pronounced ridges in the footbed. Overall, an extremely uncomfortable boot with an incredibly overpadded tongue. A well padded tongue can be a good thing but, for these it doesn't allow for a comfortable wrap around the lower shin. Instead, its doubled up on both size and too bulky to cinch the boot as tight as they need to be to fit about the ankle for necessary support and still be tolerable. Honestly, I am not sure what all the hype is about these "Military" / Berry compliant monstrosities; they were NOT well thought out when designed nor likley were they ever tested. Not sure about their military application other than their color; and maybe the fact they are "visually" approved for military dress. I was an avid athlete and hunter my entire life, and I would not wear these! The price really is a non-issue. Like most of you, I will spend more to get better, but folks, I just don't see it. I have a twenty plus year old pair of Rocky Bearclaws and they are still phenomenal in their quality and overall design, unlike these.

I have worn these boots deployed to the Middle East and ever since then I have worn nothing else. They are a bit expensive but they have lasted me two years.

This boot is insulated so I’d advise getting a half size longer and wide to accommodate thicker socks, fits like a glove and sooooo comfortable!

Out of the box comfort. Currently work in Alaska and these boots keep my feet warm and dry while training in the winter snow.

I've purchased Rocky boots since the 80's and for the most part been really satisfied ,it would be nice if Rocky had stores with just there brand in this area !

I bought these a couple weeks ago because of all the snow we had this winter in the Northeast, and they worked perfectly! Plenty warm, completely waterproof, and almost no break in time. The only issue I had was between the hot weather boots and these, these have a lot of padding that needs to get used to your foot. It'll take some time for that to break in, but the only issue that I had.

these were given as a gift. I personally don't know how they feel. the person who they were bought for loved them.

I bought these boots before I went over seas in late 2011. I spent one full year walking and hiking through rocks, dirt, mud, you name it. Its now the year 2017 and I still wear these boots now. Im not in the military now but I wear them everyday for work. They hold up to the test of time for sure. Best boots I ever worn.

My initial impression on quality is these are better than my Belleville and Danner boots. Build quality is 5 stars. My only complaint about the quality is the laces- for the price these boots cost they are junk. The low heel to toe drop, roomy toe box and excellent insoles make these very comfortable boots IF they fit. However that will likely be a major issue because unless you have enormous calves at the 8" height, you will not be able to tighten these boots and there is excessive extra material bunched up in the front. At the top height of the boot my calves are skinny (11.0") but these are ridiclous. If your calves are not at least 13" the 8" height you dont stand a chance of tightening them. I asked two others that wear the same size shoes as me to try these on and they both had the same issue. I do not have this problem with my Belleville, Danner, or Tactical Research boots. The other issue with sizing is that they are way off from all other manufacturers. I wear a 10.0R in all of my other boots, tennis shoes, and dress shoes but needed an 11.0R in these. Worth noting that I am 6'1" 195# wear 34x32 jeans and 44" chest so I am not a pencil thin guy. Measure your ankles before buying!! If in the unlikely event these will fit you they are 5 star boots.

I've been buying these exact boots for years and loved them. But I just bought a new pair of 12 wide like always and they weren't even close to fitting. If you're going to buy a pair then get ready to return them because the size will most likely be wrong.

I bought these boots for a deployment and have worn them everyday. Still in Cuba, I'm wearing them as I write this review. They are super comfortable and I have even worn them through a couple tropical storms. Break in took no time, they were comfortable right out the box. On month 7 now and still have seen no sign of wear. The only downside I have seen is they seem to lose color but after I conditioned them with a boot cleaning kit the coyote brown color comes back.

But there are many missed stitches and some seems don’t line up. Comfortable though and durable. Guess thats what matters

I read different reviews and said the best boot ever, so that’s why I got these. I am not totally happy with them, they are hard to break in and make my feet tingle, so I do not recommend them but I do appreciate that the US MILITARY uses these.

I have worn many comboot bats in my life and these are simply amazing. I got the right size so these fit perfectly and feel very comfortable. After putting them on I had to run them through their paces. I looked like a teenager chasing butterflies in the hills and woods. In the -5°F temps and snow, I didn't slip and roll an ankle, jumping was good (not quite a PLF), and my feet stayed warm a dry. I definitely put this boot at the top of my list. I hope that it wears as well as it fits, but we will see in a year or two.

I ordered coyote brown and they look sand, it also looks like they are coming unglued at the side.

I work in heavy construction I'm on my feet a lot these boots which are my 4th pair are the most comfortable I've ever worn. Now if ROCKY could make them with all hard leather instead of the suede leather that would be great. When I t all comes down to it you get what you pay for a good quality Boot.

These are the second pair of the Rocky S2V boots I have bought within the last six months. The first pair were the plain leather S2V and now I have the S2V pair that are insulated and waterproof! I have worn Danner boots for years, but these new Rocky boots are amazing!

I bought these for the wife who at winter training right now. Lots of mud and cold. No complaints so far. She is hard to fit: small wide feet. It took two tries to get it right. Havn't really tested waterproofness so far.

They stopped making bear claw boots in size 15w . They stopped making any camo hunting boots in my size so I had to get the military style soft leather boots. Haven't worn them out yet but I don't think they will stand up well in the hawthorns trees like the camo canvas boots. Rocky made the absolute best boots in the industry. But I'm afraid they are failing the hunters in size availability and durability. I hope management will bring back the size 15w line of bear claws ateast

Second set of Rocky's after 25 years with first pair. I am hoping these make it as long as the last pair, it looks like they will. Rocky has always made a great boot.

I bought these boots and the sole has already separated from the boot. These boots are 4 months old. I bought these boots for work in the winter. They were waterproof for the first month before they started leaking a little. The boot itself has held up great, they still look new. The boots did keep my feet warm when it was not wet outside or snowing. I bought these boots for warmth, waterproof, and durability.

Bought these 3 months ago but had to wait as my size was out of stock. Received a notification that they were back in stock and shipping and the next day I received them. I wear heavy socks and ordered a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and they fit perfect and the best thing WATERPROOF.

Bought these for my Son in the Army. He is deployed to a cold region and grew up in a very hot region... suffice it to say he was not enjoying cold feet. I looked and asked everyone and these boots kept coming up as "the best" AR 670-1 compliant boots. I bought a pair and had to wait a couple months before he was on leave to make sure they were the right size and that he liked the way they felt... After 30 seconds he was sold and has been very happy with warm, dry feet since.

I bought these for my son as a deployment gift. As of early Feb. of 2019 he is now in Europe with the 1st ID, as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve. He MOS is infantry. He reports "the boots are working great".

Okay, I have taken the boots off during this first week and this is the "First impressions" of the overall experience so far. The boots arrived extremely well packaged with no damage to the shipping boxes. The boots were pristine [as expected] and had the "New leather smell." The boots have only been worn for a week so far and my tender feet [now that I no longer wear boots every day] had a little bit of a break-in period. I didn't wear thick socks - even though I should've on the first day. I now I have trouble taking them off, with how comfortable they've become. The heel and toe initially rubbed, located at the back of my heel and the midsection of both big toes, but that has since subsided. I can now say that they are my most comfortable pair of shoes and I have no problem ponying up the extra cash should I need to replace them years from now.

Picked these up approximately a month ago and am very pleased. The anti-roll tech really saves your ankles when carrying extra weight over uneven terrain.

These are the best boots I've ever owned. Generally Id buy the standard s2v without the insulation, but live in work in MN, and figured the extra cost might be well worth it. Ive had 4 pairs of these in 4 countries on 3 continents and they deliver everywhere they go.
