I have owned about 6 or 7 pair of these hikers and I keep coming back to them for the comfort. The toe box is wide and roomy and the cushioning is great. I am not sure that the quality of my last pair is quite up to the standard of the first pair I bought several years ago. It seems the black synthetic material around the top of the ankle deteriorates with wear and the stitching seems to pull apart leaving them not so waterproof after a bit of wear.. I don't recall this being a concern with previous pairs. I wish that these were still made in Ohio and not in China. Overall, a good boot for light hiking that's comfortable enough for daily wear.

I bought a pair 8 years ago and am about to buy the exact same pair again, treads has finally worn completely down. Great comfort, waterproof, and traction while it lasts. Never replaced the soles. Excellent boots.

I brought this boot a while back. I tried them on today. I love them. They are very comfortable. I would have given them an excellent rating, but the shoe string was too short. If you do not send me a longer shoe string, I will have to buy them.

These are a super looking pair of boots! They are extremely comfortable.I love to wear them and really hate taking them off. The only thing I could complain about was that the strings were too short to allow for comfortable tying. Otherwise,Thank You Rocky!

Just received boot in time for winter storm. Great quality boot so far definitely better than the alpha force boot I bought couple years back that fell apart in less than a year. Comfortable kept my feet warm and dry. The bad thing I can see so far us laces are short definitely need longer laces. I would recommend this boot if you are looking at it now.

i have had these almost a month, and I cannot seem to get them broke in. they are so tight for a wide boot and forget lacing them up the laces are so short, They do seem to be comfortable if you don't mind your toes being crushed. So sad that I have been wearing rocky for almost 30 years and have seen the quality in this product go down.

Always buy Rocky boots. Never had a problem with the fit and the Gore Tex that they use holds up for a long time. One of the lightest boots out there and they keep you warm and dry. I recommend Rocky boots.

I have been buying a pair of these every year for the last five years for work. They last me a year and the soles are smooth but the boot is in good shape yet. I work on concrete floors for 8 to twelve hours a day and my feet and legs feel great at the end of the day. I will buy these boots for as long as they are made. Which I hope is for ever.

I purchase this for my son, he had a pair just like them, same brand only were of camouflage material. He wanted another only in leather. He works in aquaculture and around water all day. The fit is perfect. He loves them.

The only complaint we have with this boot is the inconsistency in sizing. We started out with my husband wearing a size 11 and are now on a size 13 W.

Worn many boots from Rocky and other brands. Most comfortable boot ever owned! Very difficult to find my size.

The tongue on the boot doesnt sit well after you lace them up.....disappointment

I have been backpacking for over 25 years and have worn three other companies boots. The Rocky came to be as a Christmas gift. I was sure they would not be serious boots for backpacking. Then I started wearing them as training boots when getting ready for a big trip. The more I wore them the more I liked them. Then I started wearing them on trips. Compared to my other boots they are like putting on slippers. They are lighter than my other boots which adds up on the legs over a long hike. They are not as stiff in the uppers but I find they keep me from rolling an ankle. The sole support may be a little too soft on boulders and rocky trails, but not bad. That is the trade off for the lighter weight. Just came back from a trip in the High Sierra and found the boots have made their last trip. After many miles and trips they have come apart on the soles. I will buy a new pair and hope they are as good as my old ones. I encourage backpackers to take a look at them.

I bought these a few months ago. they were great to first but after the last few weeks I have found out they are not Water prof and for some reason, they have worn funny on the sole and make me walk on the outside of my feet. this makes my day uncomfortable. I had to say it but this is the first pair I have ever got and worn from rocky that I don't like.

This is my third pair of the same boots, I can't find a better set of boots out there. I just wish it wasn't so hard to find these in stock. Every time I go to buy them, I can't find them for the life of me. But the comfort, performance and look are steller and top knotch. I just wish they didn't wear out every year, I only wear them in the spring and fall. Granted in buffalo that's 7 months out of the year, but I burn through the soles, inner and outer, like it's my job. Maybe look into more durable inner and outer soles for the price they charge.

I've been wearing these boots everyday for almost a year. Took them hiking, wear them at work(warehouse), normal everyday activities. One of the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned. Plan on buying another pair or two, just to have in case theses break down. Only wish I could get a pair in black or if I could find another style in black that are just like these.

I bought these for my adult outdoorsy scoutmaster son who does a lot of hiking and other outdoor activities. He tells me they perform great during his outdoor pursuits, are comfortable enough to wear on a daily basis, and he recently tested their waterproof-ness during major Ohio rains and said they kept his feet dry. He is tough on footwear and these are holding up well.

in the 70's rocky was the only boot to buy. when they left the usa they lost a lot of there quality. I own about 15 pairs of hiking boots and can not seemed to find a comfortable pair. I have to wear orthotics and your comfortable inserts would be great but I have to remove them. so far for a boot not made in usa they do not leak. If you want to find out how a boot holdup in wet conditions walk about 3 miles in wet grass. for me so far so good. if this keeps up I would by another pair. I did not answer your e-mail because I needed a couple weeks to truly see how good the boots function.

I have been wearing these boots for over a week and they are still not broke in, I hope they start feeling better on my feet or my rating will change to much lower, also the laces need to be longer so they can be double-knotted. I also wear the Rocky Portland boots, when you put them on they feel great. I have had four (4) pairs of the Portlands.

I have had these for a couple of weeks. As expected for this type of boot, they are a little stiff, but are breaking in nicely. The footbed is overall good and provides good stability and comfort. The laces could stand to be about 2-3 inches longer. The main issue is overall quality. These aren't made in the USA and the workmanship quality shows. The left and right boots don't fit the same and the lining in the right boot is a little bunched. Just a little disapointing for a Rocky boot. If you made these in one of your US factory it would be the high quality we expect.

I got these boots about a week ago and went hiking through water. They fit great and didnt get my feet wet! Super great boots!

This is the second pair I've bought still haven't worn the others out. They wear and feel better at work and in the woods my feet stay dry and comfortable all day long which makes me feel good and able to do more whenever I'm off instead of just comming home exausted from sore feet and ankles.

Great shoes..... Had to return, too small. Shipping was fast, but the return of my money took a month!!!! I will find a merchant who does not sit on my money for a month
