Padding around the top is to stiff and thick. Also the wide width is to narrow

I have worn out 5 pair of these boots over the past 20+ years and I love them! Very comfortable and durable. They are a bit expensive but worth every penny! They last! The pair I am wearing now are going on 6 years old. The soles are worn down smooth but the boot still looks good. (I have a new pair on backorder) I once spent several hours standing/walking in about 5 inches of water and my feet stayed dry!

I bought a pair of Rocky Eliminator's on 8/1/19 and 14 months later (two months after the warranty expired of course) the sole started to separate from the boot. I was able to take it to a shoe repair store and they fixed it for $10, but this should not be happening after 14 months. I have worn Eliminator's at work on a daily basis for 28 years, and these new ones have terrible wear (too fast). They definitely changed something in the material and it wears out incredibly fast. I had pervious Eliminators that I wore for five or more years before the soles wore down to the point where I needed new boots (the faster they wear out the sooner you have to buy them, good for making the company money, but only if people continue to buy them, especially at the prices they are charging now). Just prior to buying these current boots from the website, I bought a pair from a local uniform store. The guy there cautioned me on the soles, saying that numerous people have returned them for the soles separating or disintegrating. Within a month of buying those, both soles started disintegrating - I returned them to the dealer for a refund. I emailed Rocky and asked if they changed the composition of the sole and of course did not get a response. Something has definitely changed with the composition. I don't believe I will be buying these again; it's a shame, because I really liked the Eliminators over the previous 27 years.

I bought these boots for carrying mail in the cold winter months. Bought a 1/2 side up because of reviews, but it really wasn’t necessary because they are so warm, I don’t need thick socks. Good boots with decent traction.

The Rocky eliminator was the boot I wore as a career firefighter and paramedic, and later, for 14 years as a police officer. Basically I wore these boots for uniform duty use from about 1980 until my retirement from Law Enforcement in 2010. They worked in the street, in the woods, and rappelling down cliffs. I bought a new pair whenever the soles wore out on the old pairs. I am used to the old style of eliminators, with the cordura uppers. After I retired, I had difficulty finding these boots in extra wide sizes locally. I found them online and am very glad I ordered them. I am thrilled that they uppers are full leather now, more of a uniform look and easier to keep neat and clean. The tread depth on the soles seem to have less depth than those I wore for 30 years and it surely is a different, softer material. I won't be wearing these daily anymore as my time in uniform is over so they should last a good long time. They are the same fit and finish and Rocky Quality I am used to, and made in Puerto Rico, which is the US! . I am glad that I ordered them.

I've been wearing the Eliminators for over twenty years. I wear them to work, hunting , and fishing even ice fishing. I wear them 12 months out of the year the 400 grams of Thinsulate are perfect for everyday wear.

These were my shoes of choice while I was working, they were great. Now that I'm retired I hope that the quality and workmanship is still topnotch, they're a little pricey but if they are as good as my original Eliminators they will be worth the extra expense.

The absolute worst boot I've ever owned. I wore them one day, brand new out of the box, and the heels on both boots delaminated and started falling apart in chunks. I bought them as replacements for my Thorogoods which lasted 5 years before the soles and heels wore through. So the 1 year warranty was up when I started wearing them. What the heck is that material used for the heels? I salvaged the bootstrings and the boots went right in the garbage. I will never again buy Rocky's,

Warm waterproof and comfortable just like last pair. Great quality.

This is the only boot I wear and have for years. I usually have two pairs, one for work and one for clean up.

I bought a pair of these boots a ways back. They are by far the best fitting and warmest boots I've owned for work. They last a long time and remained waterproof. Truly, you get what you pay for. I am planning to get another pair as the replacement.

I've owned these boots in the past they fit well. It takes a bit of time for them to break in but once broken in they feel great.

I am a retired law enforcement officer that put in almost (40) years of duty and during that time I wore Rocky Eliminator boots. They were comfortable even in the summer time. These boots lasted me a long time. I went through two pair during the course of my employment This is my third pair and I expect them to last for a long time to come. When I first started law enforcement I tried a different brand of winter boots. They didn't last to long. Then our agency started providing another brand of boots. After awhile the soles of these boots started to deteriorate. Finally they began to provide Rocky Boots and that was the last of my boot issues. The soles of my first two pair of Rocky's wore down because of normal wear and tear. I probably was a little rough on them. Their great boots. The majority of my fellow officers also wore Rocky's.

Many years ago I purchased the Eliminator when it came with a Goodyear Welt. After a couple years I needed to replace the sole and it was almost a brand new pair. I went through a divorce and my Ex tossed them out. These had been the most comfortable footwear I had ever owned. I purchased another pair but they no longer came with the same sole. It was glued on. This pair lasted about 18-20 months and then became trash. I was gifted another pair of the same boot in the wrong size and they sit in my closet. Hopefully Rocky returns to the original quality and design needed for the working public.

I ordered these XXX Wide boots for my husband. Because the tongue to the boot is attached to the side of the top, he could NOT even get his foot into the boot. I had such high hopes these would be the one for him. We had tried many others some local and ordered on-line. The boot itself looked wonderful. Sorry, had to go back.

I love my rocky eliminators. I've been a UPS driver for 26 years. This is my 7th pair. Light weight and comfortable make them great for anyone working outdoors in the winter

really like these boots there my second pair but I'm having a little trouble breaking them in. can recommend something they just feel a little tight up front.my first pair were also size 10w and it felt like I had more room.

I had this same boot, size 10.5 M for 16 years. Ordered a new pair every two years and worked at least 40 hours a week with them as a police officer. Best pair of boots ever, but this is the second year in a row I have got on the website to order and they are not in stock. I can't wait till March to get a pair of boots since the cheaper pair I purchased last year is already done. I loved this boot, but it is just never in stock in January when my uniform allowance is up. Good Bye Rocky Boots :(

I have purchased several pairs over the years and they have all been just Great!

I am a retired UPS driver and have worn the Eliminators every winter for the last 30 years. They are hands down the best duty boots. They are warm, dry, and most importantly, light. I have probably bought at least 10 pairs over these last 30 years. You will not be disappointed.

I have used this boot about 5 times. Over the years this is the sixth pair of this style boot I have owned. The prior boots had issues with deteriation of the sole. Looking at the current boot it seems they have redesigned this boot for the better. I wish the company would have retained the 600G insulation as I think it is needed as I use the boot in cold weather in northern Michigan. I also wish they would incorporate a pull on strap on the back. Hope the soles of this boot hold up sure had problems with the past Rocky eliminator. Customer Service is excellent. Not knowing how the soles will hold up I gave the product quality rating as good. Time will tell.

My third pair of these duty boots. Thinsulate keeps your feet warm in winter, but they breathe during the summer.

I have been wearing these boots for almost 20 years and they are by far the best boots I have ever worn. I tried to change this past year to a new brand since everyone at work was prasing them and I hated them. And I paid almost twice as much for them and now I'm stuck with them. But Rocky all the way and forever!!! I work in EMS and Fire and this is the best boot ever for all day working and rough terrain. Plus they will last forever, when the grips goes away, I just retire them to yard work and get another pair.

I have purchased this same boot over and over, and I like it the way it fits. Also, in cold weather where I work on the north slope of Alaska, the sole stays more plyable then other boots. My wish is that this boot would come with a composate toe required in my field of work. It's hard to find a duty boot with all the features a person needs, but this one is close!

I bought two pairs in the last 2-3 week’s but neither fit at all. My Son bought two pairs also, had to send them back, not made to size. The one’s I bought said made in America but I found out that they also comeing from Puerto Rico and that the Dominican Republic as well. Rocky needs to go back to being all made here in the USA. Everytime they fram out their work this is the end result. As a Professional Fire Fighter for Thirty Year’s Rocky was my choice of Boots. They were Super Comfortable and held up well under adverse conditions. Rocky put Made in America Back in America!

I like this boot some what but loved the old style better the one with mesh on the sides I have had 4 pairs of this boots and they lasted about 8 years at work as a deputy sheriff fit well also

Great boot. This is pair # 6 over the last 25 years. Slightly disappointed that the strings for these boots are very thin (skinny) . Hoping that they last as long as the boot.

I bought these 3 weeks ago and wear them everyday for work unlike other boots i do not have foot fatigue or soreness they are great to wear and hold up good for work
