I bought these boots before I left for overseas and these are the best boots I’ve ever worn. I wore them the whole deployment and they never let me down. Only thing I think they should improve on is the laces. I’ve had to buy a couple laces during the deployment

I bought these a few weeks back and they fit right out of the box no issue. But one area of concern, heel height. I'm on my 4th pair of Rockies and these fit differently and there is a lack of ankle support. They are not as comfortable as other products either. Make a good garrison boot. I am a avid fan of the company and have always promoted the product but this boot is not cutting it.

I really wanted these to work for me. I've worn S2V for years and have been looking for something a little lighter in weight. After reading reviews about these boots running narrow, I decided to purchase wide
width. The problem with these boots, for me at least, was that the forefoot fit well but the heel was sloppy. However, I don't think this is a flaw with the boots.

I wear size 10 in almost every shoe. These are not most every shoe. The toebox from the laces down is very tight. Not needs to break-in tight either. The heel is very loose. I dont think getting a larger shoe will help the toe without making the heel worse.

First pair of boots I ever bought. Not sure what to expect of them. I think it's a nice looking boot. However, the strings on the lower part of the boot digs in to the middle of my foot(painful). Size in the toe is good so not sure what the issue is.

The tongue is so thin that the very hard shoe strings dig into the top of my feet. I also feel the stitching on the sides on the right boot. I have bad feet and need extra soles for a more cushioned support and so I normally put jelly soles in all of my boots. These boots didn’t work with them because the heel was so low that when the jelly’s were in the boot the heel of the boot was uncomfortable. In the plus side the boots were extremely light. Make the heel a little higher and use thicker material on the tongue over the foot and smooth over the stitching a little and you would have a good pair of boots. Until then. I had to give the boots away as I couldn’t wear them.

Very lightweight, durable and rigid base, soft super loose top.
I loved them for landscaping, the lasted about 4 months before the tread disappeared and cracks in the pinky toe area opened up.

Worst Fit of any Rocky Boot

I recently purchased this boot for the AF transition to the OCP uniform and wanted a lightweight boot. I know my boot size and have numerous Rocky boots in sage green. I have never needed a wide fit and I have been told that my feet tend to be narrow; so, I thought I would order (as I always have) a regular (medium) width sized boot. This boot was so narrow that I was unable to lace it with my foot inside. Completely unusable within the first 30 seconds. I should have listened to all the other reviews that made this same claim.

I have worn Rocky boots for many years while in the Army. When it came time to order another pair of boots, I stumbled across these. They looked great and I figured they would be a great option. I was definitely wrong. When I first put them on the fit didn't seem terrible, maybe a little tight in the tie box, but not bad. After wearing them for about 30 minutes and walking around I noticed a lot of pressure on my big toe on both shoes. This pressure soon translated to pain, at which point I decided to take the boots off. After roughly 2 hours of wearing them, my big toes were completely raw and had blisters on the outsides. Keep in mind that I have extremely narrow feet, and have never had a problem with toe pressure in any pair of boots or shoes for that matter in my life.
It is shame, because I really wanted to love these boots. The design is great and I have loved every other Rocky boot I have worn. Unfortunately I have initiated a return at this point, as I just cannot continue wearing them with the pain caused by the small toe box area.

I've worn through two pairs of these, and have been overall satisfied. They're really light and comfortable for garrison use, and that's all I would really recommend them for. Little support for rucking, and the sole wears really fast.

Very light boot. Just like wearing tennis shoes. Wouldn't want any other style! I wear a size 13 in regular shoes and i ordered a 13W. They do run a little narrow. If you can wear nike shoes with no issues on how narrow they are then order a regular width. If not, order the wides

I have read some bad reviews about this shoe. I am kind of shocked because this has been the best pair of boots I have ever owned. Hands down my favorite. Extremely light and comfortable. I have never had a single issue with them except that I have worn the soles off after wearing them every day for two years. They have had a lot of miles and a lot of ruck marching.

I bought these boots for everyday wear to have a boot with tennis shoes tread. I got 13 Wide (12 wide for shoes) to have room for bigger socks. Everything is ok but one is a little tighter than other one. They have nylon uppers that make a lot of noise when I walk!! Will that go away ??? If I was in military know I would worry about being head as I walk. Just asking.

I just bought these boots 3 days ago and have been breaking them in. The only issue I have with the boots is the eyelits for the laces on the inside dig into my joint bone on my big toe causing discomfort. I am racking it up to the leather not loosened up yet and am applying some saddle soap to aide with the break in process. Other than that they are perfect and great price.

Seems like a great product, time will tell on the longevity but will mostly be used as a garrison boot. It fits well, although even the wide seemed more narrow than other brands. I typically wear a 11.5 or 12 running shoe and the 11W fit the best.

These boots are SO uncomfortable. I wear a size 7.5 reg and got these in a 8 reg. Length is good but it has so many flaws. For one, the boot has NO structural support what so ever. The back of the boots collapses sending this rubbing pain across the back of your heel. It also has a cheap material-made tongue that constantly rubs the top of your foot no matter the thickness of the sock. Thank GOD for moleskins but I want my money back. Please and thank you.

I loved my C4T boots and was hoping these would fit the same. They are harder to break in, don’t feel great around the inside of the ankle, and the laces can’t pull the boot closed because of how they are made.

I bought these boots about two weeks ago for my deployment. I normally wear a 11.5 medium. I have purchased other boots by rocky and have had no issues. I try these on and they feel very tight. I say no worries they will break in. A week goes by my feet hurt, no signs of them getting any more comfortable. I sent rocky a message asking to return them. Due to me wearing them outside (deployed) I can’t return them. Well that was money wasted.
Pros: they are lightweight
Cons: fits extremely tight, eyelets destroy your feet, tread is slippery

Our entire unit was issued these boots, and nearly everyone complained that the sizing was way off. I have huge feet, so I was excited they have 15's. I'm not sure what you all are smoking, but those are not even close to 15's. I held them up to my current pair of size 15 boots, and these were literally an inch SHORTER. I couldn't last a day in them.

I've been wearing Rocky boots almost my entire military career (all most 10yrs now) and I've had these boots for 7 weeks now. Price was great, fit and functionality are horrible!! First off the tread is virtually none existent. After two weeks the center of the tread in worn flat. Honestly can not see these lasting longer the 6mo max. Second I'm stationed in Texas and after only 7 weeks the entire lower half of my laces are bleached white from the sun. Where as the tops that fall under my pant blousings are still coyote. I most certainly am not down wearing Rocky boots however I will never own a pair of these again!!!

Been wearing Rocky SVT's everyday for the past 10 or so years (not the same pair!) but was really excited to try something a lot lighter and cooler. Unfortunately the fit was just off. Bought the same size as my SVT's but the foot was too narrow and the heel was too loose. Just not comfortable at all for me. Will be calling to set up a return tomorrow but I do think they would be good boots if you can get a pair that fits you.

Got them from my locL army navy a few days ago. Wore them on and off for a few days with my pants tucked in and out of the boots. Wore them loosely sometimes felt fine then one day after wearing and walking down my dirt road I felt a hot spot. I know 13 is my size but my foots heel no matter how tight I tied would go up and down when walking rubbing against the back sturdy reinforced piece of the heel hurting me. Tried to suck It up and deal with it. Later took the soles out and tried a less thick pair. Still same results. So I'm taking them back Boot would be great if back inside piece wasn't so hard easy to rub against.

The soles are too thick. The heel cup is too stiff. It pinches and rubs weird spots on my feet. This boots was not designed with athletic function in mind. I've been wearing for about 2 weeks now and they are still not flexible. I recommend going with other boots such as Nike or Tactical Research that come ready to run in right out of the box.

I bought these boots a couple of weeks ago and I have no complaints at all. I was looking for a pair of Nike SBFs and my wife made me try on these and I'm glad she did. I'm a 13 Wide and that's what I bought in these and I was so happy that I bought another pair a few days later to alternate them. I 100% recommend these boots for anyone looking to go light on military footwear.

I bought my boots hoping that they will last at least more than 6 months. They only lasted 6 weeks and for the price I paid it’s not worthy. I like how easy they fit and are very comfortable but lasted only 6 weeks. I even wonder if I could get a new pair for the price I paid. I’m even willing to pay shipment if necessary.

Least favorite Rocky...
dcanderson1995
Feb 3, 2018
This is my 5th pair of boots from Rocky (C4, C5, CRLW, SV2x2) over a 5 year and some time career in the military. I've never been so unsatisfied from Rocky. The shoe strings do cause pain over the top of your feet. As always I change my boot laces out with 550 style shoe strings - solved that problem. Now after going out for a few rucks to break them in (5th one) they are still rough to wear. I'd say these are garrison boots only and to not wear in the field or for ruck marches...perhaps some 5 mile boot runs, but no rucking. Sucks but this trainer has been my least favorite.

I bought these on a recommendation from a co-worker. This is the first boot/shoe I have purchased that I didn’t try on. I love that it is lightweight. My con would be, it isn’t really designed for people with wide feet. It rubs me towards the top of my foot. I take the blame, because I bought these without trying them on. Great boot, but I wouldn’t advise purchasing unless you have tried them on.

Love Rocky boots but not these ones!
Dani23
Oct 18, 2018
I’ve loved my Rockies in the past but hate these ones. I deployed with 2 pair and regret now buying different ones. The cloth portion is coated in plastic on the inside causing them to not breath which is terrible as I’m in the desert. Also, the heel does not have a strip of fabric running up the Achilles which causes the boots to collapse down and bunch up in the heel of the boots, they also have zero tread and a very thin flat sole. Save you’re money and buy other boots.

I've been wearing Rocky boots for a long time and have been very happy with them, but these boots do not fit right. I ordered the same size I've worn for years and these are a little bit big. The width is good but they are longer than all 10 of the other Rocky boot I have. To early for me to rate quality, but the eyelets dig in to my feet.

this boot has been VERY good to me. However if you want them tight and for your foot to not move around when you're breaking them in. You'll experience mild discomfort across the top of your foot because of how the laces run across the tongue of the boot. Nothing major and it'll stop happening as soon as you break in the boot. (break in period is about 2-8 weeks depending on how you use them.) the insole is VERY comfortable and provides great arch support. The boots are very light. The dye will rub off when you wash them. don't be surprised if there's a shiny bit on the toe of the boot. i have had these boots for about 8 months and i'm committed to wear them until they fall apart.

I bought these boots shortly before a deployment to Iraq and didn't have a lot of time to break them in before I left the United States. After three weeks of steady wear in the desert terrain I have packed them back up, probably never going to wear them again. The issue with the boots is there is a bad rub on the top of my foot from the second and third inside eyelet from the toe, as well as the heel has a lot of room for foot movement, which has left blisters on the heal. I have tried numerous ways to lace the boot to lessen the eyelet rub, as well as tighten the wiggle room in the heel, with no resolve. For the price I paid for these boots I am very disappointed, especially Rocky built boots.

I received the boot a week ago. The boot fit really tight across the top of the boot. Rather than go through the hassle of doin a return as I am at a APO address, I found someone to buy them off me. The quality was good. Just the sizing that was off. Never had an issue with rocky before. I didn't want to get a wife as I never wear wides and didn't want the boot being sloppy on my foot.

Worst pair of boots I’ve owned
Cale
Sep 11, 2021
Bought these because they were light and they looked nice. That’s the end of the pros. Cons: the 2nd eyelet drives the lace into your foot and it becomes unbearable after 6+ hours of wear. The soles have absolutely no tread, so you will have minimal traction on slick surfaces. Last, they have so little support it is absurd. How can a boot have less support than a pair of Chuck Taylors? I was constantly nearly rolling my ankle on rucks, and yesterday I finally sprained the absolute dogshit out of my ankle wearing these on a live fire.

The boot was good on the soles of my feet. They were a little heavy then anticipated but durable. Only complaint I have is that the top laces tore into the top of my ankle. Be nice if they redisgned it so the laces above the ankle weren’t so tight.
