I wear a light fleece vest to take the chill off early mornings and evening temperature drops, they're great for "casual wear" but looked dumb with good slacks and sometimes seemed wrong for a good restaurant. Matched with a good shirt (whether I wearing jeans OR slacks) this vest dresses me up! I'm 5'9 with a 42 inch chest and this vest falls right to my waist. The pockets are deep enough to old my keys and the fabric is just thick enough to take the chill out of a cool evening! Great! There are cheaper vest out there and you get what you pay for there - this vest has real value.

This vest is authentic in its manufacture and style. The best part is--ITS MADE IN THE U.S.A.-- I ordered it one size larger then what my shirt size is, and as its worn over your shirt! It makes for a great fit, I use a pocket watch with a chain, which provides a button hole to hold the chain clasp, and the pocket is just right depth to hold it.

Great for casual occassions and no occassion at all!!

I wear many different vests in the various seasons. This vest will fit my wardrobe for Fall and early winter as the fabric is of a medium weight.

I liked this enough to buy it in two other colors (natural and sand). It's very versatile, for when the day's too warm for a jacket but you still want the panache of lapels. Goes great with slacks or jeans. My only complaint - the chintzy buckle on the back straps. But, it does the job.

I've got several vests, some leather, suede, but this vest has now become my favorite! It fits great and looks great...just the look I like!

This vest is very nice looking, really what I expected from the online photo, and my husband loves it. However, the buckle at the back of the vest for the "tie" is nuts! There are two very sharp points on it and in trying to figure it out, those points poked holes in the fabric! We literally have no idea how that thing should work after working on it for about 20 minutes. Maybe it is obvious to someone who has this kind of buckle already, but it should really come with a little instruction sheet just in case someone is not familiar with it (the tie is loose, not buckled when it is shipped so you have to figure it out yourself). The result of trying to figure it out ourselves is damaged fabric. We plan to call Sheplers and hope that someone can tell us over the phone how this works!!!

I usually take a large in shirts and jackets but I had to reorder in XLarge. I think this is a Great product and would recommend it to anyone.

I love the vest. However, the buckle on the back is flimsey and cheesy and looks like it was cut with a side cutter pliers making the ends sharp and pointed and could be a issue poking into furniture when you sit. This is why I couldnt rate above a three for reliability and low quality material. I thought at first this must me a defect, but I actually ordered two of the same vest in different colors and they both had the cheesy buckles.

Vest has a great look with the collar and fit is perfect. Quality of material and price are exceptional. I have purchased many items and never had a problem with the clothing and other things I had purchased.

Not to big, not too small, a perfect fit goes well with a sckully white gambler shirt.

It fit according to size. Love the extra pockets on the outside for my pocket watch. The lapels add a bit of fashion. I have been complimented on its style.

Really lovely waistcoat but I hate the spike buckle on the back. I'mm hoping to have this replaced. Such a shame as this is really stylish

Overall service from Sheplers seemed to be fine from the order to delivery of product. I like the vest for its construction and the location of the pockets on the front of the vest. Although I have just purchased this vest it appears to be sturdy and well built to last for a while. I liked it enough to purchase two more of them. I do no care for the size adjustment on the back of the vest. It causes the vest to wrinkle up on your back.

I use my vest at concerts and fans amazed. Even had a preacher's wife to take a picture. I carry a concealed firearm, and it completely conceals my weapon. I am completely satisfied with purchase.

Big Man size, period correct cowboy rangewear is quite difficult to find that is of any real quality. This vest is spot-on! EXTREMELY PLEASED!!!

My husband wears this type of vest everyday. The cut, style and practicality are superb. It was also priced well. His other everyday vest is the same style made by wah maker and was twice the price. I highly recommend this scully vest.

I couldn't be more satisfied with the look and fit of these two vests. The buckle in the back is a bit problematical but once figured out, it works just fine. The sizing is right on and the look is just right with jeans. It gives whatever else you are wearing, a little bit of an extra touch of attention.

I will use this vest a lot. It is good fabric and has great features.

I had a lighter colored vest & wanted something a bit darker. This color is perfect. Like the styling & the fit. The buttons were tough the first time thru the holes. Nice product, great price

not only is it smaller than expected but it is shorter than expected and leaves a space where my shirt shows before my trousers begin and I'm no giant at 5'9" the walnut color is more mahogany with a definite reddish purple tint.
