Nice product, but they are two sizes too small. If you wear 32-33, you will need to order a 36 since they don't have 35.

Strange that the 38” waist I ordered were made for a 36” waist person. What kind of ruler does the maker use?

It's an excellent pants model, very different from the current ones. I always wanted to use it, but I realized late that it was what I was looking for.

The construction, material, and overall quality of these pants was excellent, however as one reviewer has pointed out, they run around two or so sizes too small. These pants are also cut arrow straight in the legs and seat which means the leg opening size will scale with the waist. I am a 30-31" waist and ordered a 32. If we were being polite we'd say my legs are "robust" so I've exchanged them for a size 34 just for relief in the legs. No complaints otherwise.

John Wayne of pants, rough and tough. I haven’t had them long but from what I’ve seen there are some great pants if you can get passed the look the pockets are a bit hard to get into. But I suppose that’ll get easier as the wear in. They don’t have belt loops so if you can’t stand suspenders these might not be for you. Though if you get the right size you don’t really need them.

Much too long in the legs for most people, if I had to guess these were made for 6'6 men...

Well made but size is not standard and one to two sizes smaller than advertised.

I have several different colors of these pants for Cowboy Action Shooting. They are reasonably priced and have a good Old West look. The dark colors will fade somewhat and can show light spots if they make any contact with bleach around the washing machine. That is why I am replacing my Walnut pair. I recommend washing them inside out. Front pockets are tight and only one back pocket. They come in one long length so they need to be hemmed up to your inseam.

Fit was perfect; possibly some reviewers who said these ran small were not measuring around their true waist (smallest point above your hips). These pants have a high waist. Very long but easily hemmed. Stiff cotton with no stretch to it. I tried two sizes and went with the bigger one because the buckle in the back can cinch down a couple inches, leaving a roomier fit in the legs.

The pants themselves are extremely comfortable, but they are at least 2 sizes off. Had to go 3 sizes due to possible shrink when wash. Pants are great sizing accuracy not so great.

Loved the pants. They were to tight for me had to return. Needed a bigger size. Canvas material is very comfortable.

these pants are very tight compared to any other size 32 i've ever worn. also, they are super straight, so they stick out in the back if you have any shape to your body at all. i'd send them back for a larger size, but i'm guessing they would have a large waist compared to the pant leg.

I ordered two sizes bigger as advised in reviews. Waist was good but lenght and widht of the leg were enormous. After wash/dry it was better but it still need sewing ajustment. Overall it feels like good quality pants with thick canvas cotton

Beautiful pants--durable, comfortable, exactly what I was looking for. Only thing is the 36" inseam was way long so had to hem them. That said, I am a grown man and should be able to hem a pair of pants without whining. I look forward to wearing these this winter and for many to come (wish more companies sold for reliability rather than trends!).

I purchased these pants for my son. They were cut a little close in the thigh area, but he wore them. The pants were shipped as requested in a timely manner.

I bought these for Cowboy Action Shooting.  Was extremely embarrassed and disappointed when the sewn seam in the crotch split during the first match I wore them too.  And no, they were not too tight.  They were actually a size bigger than what I needed.

I love these pants. Not only do they feel wonderful to wear aber they always bring in complements from both friends and strangers, both guys and gals. I wear them for work, play and even as my “Sunday go to meetin’ pants”. Please Sheplers don’t ever discontinue these pants.
