I bought two of these hats and have e-mailed Outback, the chin strap connects to the brim with two circular metal hoops. The hoops are open and pushed up against each other but the gap allows it to come off then you have to get pliers to try and get it back on then kind of crimp the end back like a bad cheap piece of jewelry.

Perfect combination of features!!!!!! Waterproof, keeps rain off your neck, and ears. Breathable, through the brass vents, quick dry sweatband for comfort. The quick dry sweatband not only provides good absorbancy in summer, but the design traps air so its warm in the winter, cool in summer. This is at least a 3 season hat, and I have worn mine comfortably most of the summer, as well. The wire brim makes shaping easy. Outback Trading Company makes Great Stuff!!!!!!!!

I had originally bought the Kodiak, but even the small was just large enough to feel and look too big on me. I then ordered the Grizzly and it's perfect. There is only a 1/4 inch difference in the brim, but it looked better proportioned for a woman and it fit snugger. Gave the Kodiak to my husband so he's happy too! Haven't worn it enough to break it in to the shape of my head yet so a little hard to rate the pros and cons, but so far I'm very pleased with it.

i ordered this hat and it was delivered a week before their arrival date was very happy. the sizing is great and comfortable. I expect this hat to last a long time. I would recommend this hat to anyone who works outside in adverse weather

I bought this drover hat and a new drover coat. The hat fits perfectly and I like ti better than my old Outback Trading Company Kodiak (black) hat.

The hat is what I expected it to be, but they put the cheapest slide that they could possibly find

Hat is perfect for wet blustery weather. It is perfect with draw string to keep hat from going airborn. Boot barn staff are great. I can always depend on excellent service and products. I always get my stuff in a very reasonable time frame. Thanks!

Great protection from the sun. Has a sweatband on the inside of the hat. Waterproof and very comfortable.
