The quality of the leather is cheap, the finish is worn off the toe area after 2 wks. I could have gotten a comparable boot @ Walmart or Kmart for a third of the price. I should have returned them as soon as I realized they weren't made in the U.S.A., but I was in a pinch. What a mistake!

Great Waterproof boot

Ive had this boot for about six months and I have used them on my fishing trips.
I have stood in water levels that were just below the Georgia logo on the tongue for a good 30 min, and my feet stayed completely dry.

So Far, So Good

Right now I am switching between two pair--and both do what Georgia says they will. They are waterproof--as far as leather boots can be--comfortable, and well made; also, they look good. The only thing is that the first pair I got has a wider sole and more generous cut--both pair are the same size, and same black, low-heel waterproof model--so I am wondering which is closer to the Georgia spec., or if that spec. has changed. I can't really say one pair is better than the other; the wider sole/looser cut are good in one way, the other ones are good in another way--so I guess I will find out which one I should expect to get when I buy the 3d pair!

Put these on in the store and was like ‘yup, I’ll take them. The leather is of good quality and the stitching is top notch. I plan on putting these boots through the ringer and I don’t doubt they will keep up. Good job Georgia Boots!

I have purchased many pairs of this style boot and love them every time I slip into a new pair. They fit like a glove, no break in time hardly at all, and long lasting.

first pair, speed hooks didnt line up to the point they didnt work properly, had to painstakingly loop each lace around the speed hook. this also caused a lot of friction at the front high ankle, even after a 40 hour week in rainy conditions, i returned them as manufacture defect, the second pair made it to the car where i visually inspected them in detail and found the same issue, the speed hook were set at 1/2 inch apart on the left side of the boot and 3/4 inch on the right, I immediately took them back in. The authorized dealer of the Georgia boot was fantastic throughout this whole process, i received a third pair that did not have defective speed hooks, they have loosened up and now turn quite easily but my dealer assures me this is normal.
Moving on, These boots fit great. I am 170 lbs 5' 9" with size 13 regular width. This particular model does mave a slightly smaller toe box than the lace to toe simialr product in brown. two different lasts, I prefer these as I have to kneel frequently at work and the larger toe box bends in on my toes and makes them sore over 10 hours. These boots are fairly watertight for being just leatherboots, If you work in wet conditions daily go GTX. The leather is of average quality, out of box it tends to fold in on itself and rub the high ankle and Achilles, this does go away once they are broken in, you can see how soft and veiny the leather is from the picture. These boot dry out very fast, havent had to use a boot dryer yet, which is impressive. No problems with stitching or any other part of the boot, the vibram oles are working fantastic.
Overall the boots are priced appropriately. quality control could be better, but my experience with the customer service has been great. get what you pay for and for less than 200 you are getting a really nice boot. Although I am satisfied with my current boot, I will spend more money in the future and go with a better quality boot.

Super happy with the overall strengths of this boot, 4 years of hard use when used. The only issues have been not narrow enough fitment, wool socks are awful in summer in central AZ in the summer, and the factory sole came loose in the extreme heat . The resolve had held up much better

I bought these a month ago, they are breaking in nicely. They are also true to size, I wish your Wellington’s were.

These boots are very comfortable and durable. I am on my feet for 10-12 hours a day and my feet don't hurt at all. This is a real plus. I would definitely buy this brand again.

These boots are great third pair I've bought. I've gotten a couple years of work out of my each of my first two pairs. They seen groundwork in the rain in Washington state and my feet were dry what moisture got in came from my jeans and down my socks. My main reason for replacing them was the smell not because they were worn out..

I work trails north of San Francisco. The boots already have proved their ability to hold out water and hold up to significant bush whacking to stash brush all over mountain sides. I also have yet to roll my ankle like I typically do in other boots. The leather came soft and durable and I even opted to take them on a recreational trip after a week of work. I'm very happy with the purchase.

I think I’m going to like these boots but a EE seems to run a little on the narrow side. Luckily these boots will be used during the summer so i have time to get them stretched. Other than that, they seem to be very comfortable and well made.

Bought a pair less than 2 months ago. And even just walking around pulling up trees at a nursary and pulling weeds already leak. Barely look worn. 2nd pair already after a week am wet. I had a different style gorgia a while back which did the same but those had a glued sole and the sole wore out and detached in less than a month went throu like 10 pair through the 6 month warranty. Those were just being worn walking in the woods and to and from he car. Somewhat in the store running errands but not putting any through heavy use. I dont believe i will ever choose georgia again

The boots are exactly what I wanted. I wanted all leather waterproof boots for hunting and ranch work. I especially want the tongue to be sewn in nearly to the top so water would not seep in. I've only worn them twice and so they are still a bit stiff. But that's to be expected.

Dependable Work Boots
Oregon
Sep 4, 2015
I bought these in winter of 2013, and these have lasted me through almost 3 years of 4-5 days a week of wear. These are the best work boots I have ever had, and I will definitely buy another pair when these finally wear out. So far the only repair I have had to do is take the boot to a cobbler for a small separation of the upper and sole. Overall, this is a great pair of work boots.

Hardware Dies Need Re-Setting or Replacement
MeAgainForaReason

So far I have purchased and worn several pairs of 8010s; to be perfectly honest I also gave an earlier, more favorable review, but I have noticed a decline in QC. Most important, the hardware--especially for the speedlaces is not correctly set, and off-center strikes are easily visible on the reverse side (compared with earlier pairs). As a result, I actually had--for the first time with the 8010--a speedlace pin blow right out of the boot during lacing; shame because this pair fit beautifully--and, no, they do not all fit the same by size...On one newer pair I have also noticed the leather is not cut or stitched in a way that produces a uniform boot-body; some areas bulge and sag even when the boot is new--and I have not seen this before on the 8010 either. Both problems can and should be fixed via QC and Die Replacement/Reset for the Hardware. Having already treated them with O***f's LP, I will have the speedlace pin replaced locally rather than return them--if done right I expect this pair will be great, but it shouldn't have happened at all.
