First time getting pasture boots. I've been restricted to Ariat cowboy boots for working the Rodeo, or wolverines for heavy chores / construction. Now I'm on pasture and these boots are GREAT. The insole is like walking on a cloud. The weight of the boot is negligible until about and hour into walking around. And any pasture gunk is easily washed off with a hose. ( I am diligent about the maintenance of all of my gear and equipment, however. ) The only thing I would not recommend is leaving them out in the sun for any period of time on their own, or after washing them - direct Texas heat will only hurt any rubber / polymer left out in the open. [ Gusset isn't really useful at the moment. Can flip down the soft upper to facilitate pants tucking into the boot. Good with boot socks or ankle socks. Rear nub on the heel makes it easy to pin down for removal. Sweat and other moisture dissipates within an hour of removal. ] Very pleased with this purchase. Absolutely worth the investment. Will get another pair if/when I wear these out.
