perfect for working outside in the CA rain, comfortable and fits great

This is a good deal for the money. However it's a little tight in the shoulders. I normally would wear a large, but I'm exchanging this one for an extra-large. This will hopefully give me a little extra room in the shoulders (especially if I would wear a jacket under it).

Upon removing from package and opening the zipper, the zipper broke. I like the design and it covers the saddle well. It is light and wears well. Craftsmanship needs work.

Two days after I got the slicker, it rained - and I had two people that first day (and more later) asking me where I got the rain coat.

Very happy with this slicker. Very light weight, great for in the saddlebag.

The quality of the slickers has wanrd in the last few years. My old slicker from the same place with the same name and picture was much thicker and I still wear it though stained and torn. I suggest the new one will not even come close to lasting as long. Much thinner, like a cheap rain coat. If I am wrong as time goes by, I will write another review.

I bought this as a gift and the recipient is tickled pink (or should I say yellow?)!

My husband is a tow truck operator and we live in snow country. This slicker has made all the difference. He no longer comes homes sopping wet and having to change pants. When you have to lie down on the road to hook up a vehicle, this slicker keeps you dry.

Good sturdy item. A must have for riding in the rain.

not what i thought it would be. very thin raincoat

It's perfect for me.I direct traffic at a food bank on a main road.And it is lightweight and bright yellow for the days it rains.I still need to be seen. 35 mph vehicle vs 250 lb stationary man. Man lose's isn't what I want my obit to read.Worth the price.

Material to thin. Making it unisex is a mistake. Pull part of zipper on wrong side for a male making it awkward to zip up and down. Also all the bottom snaps were female except for one. Couldn't snap together. Had to return. Would rather pay a little more for a better made product.

weight of item is good for both summer and winter. Althought it is not lined, wearing over winter clothes will provide waterproofing when riding.

I was concerned that buying this for a large man it might not fit well. Turns out it's rather roomy and he can wear other jackets under it to keep warm. Very pleased with the construction and the speed at which it arrived.

This slicker is well made, has zipper plus snaps, and has Velcro strap at neck to keep rain out. It also has snap on hood. Good quality material.

Just as described for the rider in the family and well worth the price.

I wear it over jeans jacket with black cattleman, and wolverine boots. I get compliments for look and classic western appearance. A real head turner in the streets of Paris(France). Length and material make it the best rain protection I ever had.

I was afraid my husband might think it wasn't something he would wear. Once he opened it and tried it on he fell in love with it. It's sharp on, fits great and covers all necessary body parts comfortably. He wore it out and it was pouring. We were all dressed up for our anniversary and he wore his western wear and was so happy to have his saddle slicker.

This is a good slicker; lots of snaps and pockets. It had no defects, zipper is smooth. It is kind of thin, but I suppose I could say that about a lot of things these days. Would buy again.

Good buy for a useful Product. Not everyone carries such an item as a SADDLE SLICKER. When I cut through farming country to get to the High Mountains, I'm asked about the SLICKER. I remind them of the SHEPLERS website. The SLICKER is comfortable, warm and most importantly, keeps you dry. John from California

Good material. Coat Length in person is longer than I could determine online. Coat cuffs lack the capacity for proper adjustment for individuals with smaller wrists.

I have purchased 2 of these raincoat's and found them totally different. The first coat only lasted one wearing. The seams separated and the snaps pulled out when I tried to unsnap them. The zipper pulled out of where it was stitched on either side taring the raincoat. the second coat was made backwards the zipper zipped on the wrong side and the rain flap covering the zipper was backward so it was hard to fasten in a hurry. However it lasted three rain storms so far. The second coat fit well over a jacket and the rain hood covered my hat sort-of. It is long enough to cover your jeans while siting or standing. The snaps on the second coat stayed snapped while working and walking. The size is an issue however the large was a medium and I had to buy a 2xx to fit me. It is hard to fit it back into the caring bag and leaving it out of the bag causes excess ware on the coat. I am planning to buy two more coats to insure I can still find them for next year.

My husband is a truck driver and he needs to unload truck in all kinds of weather and especially when its raining, storming or whatever, this Saddle Slicker is perfect for him. He's tall and husky, fits perfectly and comfortably.
