This is my first pair of hiking boots and I’m in love! Did my first 4,000 footer in them and no breaking in is even needed!! Great support, waterproof, great traction, and being stylish is a plus. Very happy with these and I look forward to use them for years.

I've worn them out hunting a few times now and each time they get a little more broken in and comfortable. They're lightweight but durable. I'm really impressed with them.

Love these boots. So comfortable right out of the box. One reviewer said they stood in a River and didn’t get their feet wet. My first hike I had to cross a River and my feet didn’t get wet at all and the boots didn’t even look like they had even gotten wet at all. Amazing. Bought my husband the men’s version since I loved mine so much.

No need to break them in beforehand. Super comfortable and durable. Highly recommend the investment

I love this boot! I bought it to go to Iceland. My feet stayed dried and warm walking through rivers. It is lightweight and comfortable. I wish I would have purchased this boot sooner!

I love my Danner boots. I’ve backpacked four times this year in them including Catalina (where my friend swore I should hike in trail runners because boots would give me blisters...and they didn’t). I also wore them this last weekend in the snow/ice and my boots mostly stayed dry/warm. I’ve also worn them for countless other day hikes in the last year. I was really worried the snow would do them in this week since I know this style isn’t designed for that...but happy they held up. Hoping for many more miles in these as they are sooo comfy! The leather gets worn in and they feel great. I love the rugged worn look that they get over time.

Lovely, in fact beautiful boots. Perfect fit. Extremely comfortable right out of the box. And did I mention that they are beautiful? They look a bit like nubuck, and I called the company to ask about the leather conditioner cream. The man said that the boots are full grain leather, but conditioned already, so save that for a later date. But, they simply aren’t for me. The broad sole in mid foot and heel is almost like athletic shoes and ended up not working for me. In an odd way that broad sole destabilizes me, and I’m no spring chicken so I need all the stability I can get, heh heh. It was quite the tough decision because quality is so good and, I repeat, they are beautifully designed. Unfortunately for me, I loved the boots so much that I did use them twice outdoors before it became apparent that it wasn’t a good match so I cannot return them.

Great fit! Just breaking them in. Very top is a bit loose, let’s in some debris, but I think it will conform better with wear.

These were a gift for my assistant. She loves this kind of boots. She is totally crazy about them!!! I am sure she will be visiting you soon. We are in northeast ohio and the weather can be sometimes treacherous in the fall and winter and this boots are ideal - and of course hiking!

This is my second pair. I had the first ones for over 5 years but the inside wore out and it was time to replace. The color is not the same as the first pair so it’s a little disappointing, more a rust color than Rich Brown, definitely not a color I would choose.

They are surprisingly lightweight which is nice as I wear them to work in.

So far I love these. I've hiked 30+ miles right out of the box and they felt great. No need for a "break in" period, and they are very supportive in the ankle area, as well as very comfortable in the sole. I felt very confident on the mtns in these. I didn't get to test out the waterproof factor so I can't personally attest to that, but sizing wise, for me, they fit true to size, I finally didn't have to return 2-3 pairs in order to get the size that fit. These fit great. I am an 8.5 and ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfect. Great quality. I was afraid they might feel "heavy or bulky" but they don't. I am in love. Highly recommend.

I have been using these style boots for at least 3 years at work. They are very comfortable, and versatile. I always get compliments on them. The fit is true to size. I love supporting companies making goods in the USA.

Fit - I am a true 7.5 but ordered a 7 and I am glad that I did. They fit perfect (with room for regular & wool socks) Traction - I have had a hiking shoe before and a hiking boot. These blow those out of the water with traction. The best hiking boot I have ever owned and worth the money. They held up so well w/ different terrains during my trip and I know they will last long also. Great quality! I ordered the leather boots in the Rich Brown color, and I don't regret it! Color is beautiful and the material held up very well in snow/rocks/brush etc. 100% recommend this boot. I already got 2 friends to purchase because of how great they have been for me and my adventures.

My husband bought me a pair of these boots for Christmas and I walk in the every day. They are comfortable and water proof. The pair I have is still in good shape but I wanted another pair to keep for when I will need them.

I'm the type of person who doesn't typically leave reviews, but I have to say, I absolutely love these boots! They are true to size, too (which is always something I worry about when I'm ordering shoes online). Anyway, I cannot wait to wear these again on my next hike!

These are SO comfortable right out of the box. Lovely leather, well-made, great quality. The ankle was the only part that feels like it needs to be broken in. I usually wear an 8.5 in regular shoes, and these fit well with a pear of thick-ish wool hiking socks. I definitely recommend!

Although there are hundreds of endorsements for this boot, I feel compelled to add another. I've been an avid hiker for most of my life and have owned many pairs of boots and most brands. None have come close to the comfort and ease of these Danner boots. Normally boots take some time to break in -- not these. From my first hike in my new Danner boots, my feet were so happy! They are great for climbing rocks, walking on uneven terrain, braving the mud and everything in between. I purchased my correct shoe size and they fit perfectly. I can't say enough good things about these boots. I am a Danner customer for life - I will never buy any others!

These boots are comfortable, keep my feet dry and are cute. For a light boot they are roomy and have nice support. They lace really easily and have good, long laces. My favorite part is the mega grip sole. It makes a huge difference hiking on wet rocks, roots, etc. I also have the 2650 and I love them both. Thank you Danner.

I love my Danner Mountain 600 boots, it was an investment, but they are made with high quality material and should last a long time. They are comfortable and didn’t require much breaking in. The simple design and color of the boot are great. My feet have remained dry on all of my hikes and camping trips so far. I look forward to using them when the snow flies!

Comfortable once you've worn them in, which took a couple days so not bad, but they're not very waterproof which was a major letdown. I purchased the full grain leather pair to replace my cracked suede pair hoping it would last longer, but they already leaked in two spots up my the toe box on day 1, even after being conditioned initially. Granted I'm an animal caretaker, and it's winter and hasn't stopped raining in weeks, so I'm not sure if walking through puddles all day along with mud and muck etc is just too much for them to handle. But regardless it was quite a letdown.

Insanely comfortable right out of the box. Really looking forward to (hopefully) many years of hiking in these. I am normally a size 10. 5, but sized up to 11s.

Out of about 6 different boots I tried, these were the out-of-the-box winners. They are comfortable like a tennis shoe but have a nice combination of styling and technical capacity. I recently wore them on a 20-mile loop on the AT and other trails that were very rocky, super muddy/flooded out, and wet wit slippery leaves. They are definitely waterproof as I ended up in several big puddles. Overall, these did well and I had no pain or blisters. They do run a bit wide so I may need to get inserts for my narrow and flat feet. I wear a size 10 in casual shoes but needed a 10.5 for enough room in the toe box, which I typical for me with running or hiking shoes.

I bought these boots in October, being in England and unable to try on I was worried about sizing, I'm a UK 5.5-6, I was advised to go for the smaller size so I ordered a UK 5.5/US 8, fits absolutely perfectly, and zero breaking in time. Feels like I'm walking on clouds. I've had no luck with any walking boots so far, even Meindl, all make my feet go numb, feel hot, cramp, blister. But these boots I've worn almost every day for over a month and I honestly couldn't feel any comfier, it feels as though I could walk forever without my feet getting fatigued. I used to think I was a hiking trainer sort of person, but now I realize I'd just never found the right boot. For as long as Danner continue to make these boots, I will continue to buy them. The only down point is I used the clear boot dressing on them after so much continuous wear and it's changed the colour from the lovely light brown to a very dark brown, I'm hoping over the next few weeks this lightens because they don't look anywhere near as good, but obviously only an aesthetic issue.

Great boots. They remind me of old school hiking boots, you know-back when things were well made and lasted a very long time. I'm working through an injury and have not used them for any rigorous hiking yet. Though I live in the midatlantic where "boots go to die" because trails are rocky and slippery and so far so good. They fit true to size for me and I love the classic look. After reading reviews I was torn about sizing but followed the chart on the website and landed on my usual size 6.5. They were a tad stiff at first and I thought I should have ordered a 7, but after one day out on a easy 6 mile hike, all is well. Very comfortable, supportive and with a moderate amount of cushion. I have narrowish feet. I'd say use caution if you have wide feet. These might not be for you.

These are so light and comfortable. I have tendonitis in my ankles, and I love that I can lace these up really tight to provide extra support. I can work on my feet outdoors a lot longer than with any other pair of boots.

These boots are fabulous! I was looking for a new hiker that would be functional and stylish and this is the perfect boot. Wore them out for the first time on a 10 mi hike and they were comfortable the entire time. That may not have been the best idea, but luckily I did it with these boots! Their second trip was a weekend camping trip with an 8 mi trek in and again, so comfortable. Would definitely recommend and I will 100% be back to purchase boots in the future!

Words can’t describe how much I love these boots. They look amazing and feel even better. I was looking for a mid rise hiking boot that covered my ankles so dirt wouldn’t get in and these do the job. I could walk around the world with these!

Comfortable and easy to wear, first day! Love these boots. True to size. Warm. Seriously, I wore them all day and they didn’t hurt my feet. Easy to move in. Not heavy.

Overall love these boots. I do a lot of rugged hiking and one thing I have noticed is the leather on the toe of the boot gets pretty banged up/knicked and scratched which concerns me about the life of the boot. I purchased the boot balm and cleaning brush and that has been a godsend. My feet stay dry and the boot is very comfortable, with no break-in needed. Danners customer service is exceptional and I would definitely purchase more boots through them.

These boots are the definition of style combined with comfort. When I first laid eyes on these beauties I was so happy. Then, when I tried them on they felt snug enough to support my feet but comfortable like a cloud. I’ve had these for a few weeks now. I work at a nature preserve and I walk least 5 miles a day in these hikers and they are still comfortable. I recommend getting a good pair of hiking socks with these to increase the comfort even more. I am so happy. Thank you Danner for these wonderful shoes.

I bought these boots at the recommendation of my daughter who loves hers. They fit to size and are comfortable from the very beginning. Great for hiking, gardening, and just wearing. They're not stiff, they're very comfortable, and are durable.

everything about the boots I ordered were quality (even the packaging). I gave them just four stars because the boot ankle support put pressure on the lateral sides of both ankles (maybe my ankle anatomy is strange) rather than my ankles being centered in the boot. I thought this could be a problem with pressure points on long hikes. playing it safe and returning. I ordered a half size up, for use with thicker socks. they fit well, with that in mind.

These shoes are amazing. Lightweight like tennis shoes, but still super sturdy. I didn’t break them in as much as I should have before a couple of intense hikes and had no issues whatsoever with blisters. I changed the laces to red and I love how they look! I highly recommend these shoes.

Super comfortable right out of the box. Wore them to hike mount Whitney just days after buying them and survived 20+ mile day hike with no blisters! They are not super breathable though so I’d recommend letting your feet air out every couple hours

This is the second pair of these shoes I have owned. Super comfortable with a wide toe box and not a lot of annoying arch support.

I was looking for a more substantial, stiffer sole. Too flexible and thin for me. I’ll try one of the others.

These are so comfortable - I just broke them in walking around for a few days and they were ready for Mt Carrigain! Hiking shoes sometimes hurt my toes, but these have enough room in the toe box and they have really good grip, so my toes were very happy! I also got lots of compliments on how pretty they are!
