Sizing is accurate, nice fit, still too early to know about the longevity of the boots… but initial impression is good

I have really enjoyed the fit. The shoe doesn’t get hot in my Hawaiian summer. I have also used the shoes for some construction work and they don’t feel heavy.

Fit is great In them 12 to 14 hrs a day for work very comfortable

Good quality boot but runs a little small. I had a size 10 steel yard from danner that fit well. The vital trail has more insulation than expected so it’s tight on my feet. Wish I would have gotten the 10.5’s. Other than that they are good quality after 5 weeks of owning.

Really good quality boot. I prefer earth tone colors for shoes and boots and these are really nice. They aren’t quite as comfortable as the Mountain 600’s that I have but feel a little more robust- I would describe the Mountain 600 as more of a park trail boot (they wear like an athletic shoe); but while these are called Vital Trail they are more along the line of an unimproved trail / cross country boot. They do seem to vent well and keep my feet cooler- but it hasn’t been truly hot since they arrived so time will tell. My only complaint is the flat shoelaces- I replaced them right away with round ones- but the loops are too small for my heavy Kevlar laces to fit through and the quick laces are too narrow for the heavier laces so I had to use thinner laces.

This is my second pair of Vital boots. The first pair has been worn daily for over a year both on pavement and trails. I've put many miles on these boots and I couldn't be happier. Waterproof, tall enough for ankle support, good tread and sole longevity. I wear them in both the office and field. The original pair replaced hiking boots made by "M". Quality of construction, material selection, support and comfort far exceeded the "M" boot. Just get a pair - you won't regret it.

Zero breathability. Bought for hiking in spring summer. For a non insulated boot, they are the hottest boots I’ve had. Wore them for a couple days, doubt I’ll ever wear them again. Very disappointed because I love my danner hunting boots.

The Best waterproof light boot you can buy, hands down! So comfortable!

Loved these boots when I got them. Light, comfy and enjoyed wearing them almost every day. Within a week I noticed the "paint" covering the toe cap started to flake off but no big deal. Unfortunately within 3 months the stitching around the toe box all started to break and unravel causing me to submit a warranty claim (pain being without boots). Just used my credit to purchase a new pair of Sharptails. It's funny that no matter what boot I looked at the reviews were pretty much all 4.5 stars.

Light weight and comfortable feel. Recieved the pair of boots and was impressed with the quality of workmanship. Can't wait to hit the trails this summer and really put them to the test.

I got the 13 wide and they fit good and have held up so far against wear and water. They are a little on the warmer side

Hellp Danner, I have been wearing your boots for more than 20 years and have always had great success, however in the last couple years something has changed, I really like the radical 452 but they have been unavailable. I tried these shoes hoping to find a replacement but these are very incomfortable.

Worn boots for 8-10 hour days. They run quite narrow (I ordered wide). The quality is unmatched. I hope they loosen up a bit with regular wear.

I did t think a wide bed boot was the solution to all my endurance problems but this has been it. So far the heel lock and to-be-broken-in footbed feel great and stiff in the right spots. I’m flat flooted so the right boot means I can do multiple days of long range rucking without losing a toenail or getting stiff calves. 20miles over two days in sub 20f and I have a normal aches that made me excited and able to go for a third day! Which other boots didn’t allow me to do. I expect this boot to soften up giving more flex in the heel to toe extensions while protecting my ankle in all terrain. Water resistance seemed fine in snow and foot bed water wading. So far this is boot is ticking all the boxes other reviewers said they would. For reference I wear a 11 normally and got this size in wide bed. I’m a dadbod 220lb 5”11 with a 50lb ish carry.

Great hiking boot so far, already covered so much ground in them, they broke in quickly and are super comfortable. The price was very affordable. I gave up on danner for a few years, because my work boots werent lasting for the money i was spending on them. So far though i have put these hikers to the test and they seem to be holding up very well, maybe ill have to bring my service back to danner.

This is my first pair of Danners, and I bought them after reading numerous reviews and friends highly recommended this brand. I don't know if I've ever worn a more uncomfortable boot. I've put dozens of miles on these and they have not improved a bit. The upper is very comfortable and I like that they fit a little snug on the sides, but the footbed is the problem. It's made of hard polyurethane, so it doesn't mold to your foot whatsoever. I immediately threw away the factory insole because it was paper thin and provided no cushion. I replaced them with Dr. Scholl's massaging gel insoles, but it still didn't help. I figured they would be great, because the midsole is made of a nice squishy foam material, but it doesn't do much good when they put a layer of hard plastic over top of it. Wearing these all day is like walking barefoot on hardwood floors. I'm serious. I'm going to buy a different pair of insoles, but if that doesn't help, I'm going to return them.

Comfortable enough, but if you work outside like I do, you’ll quickly realize they are NOT waterproof. Pretty disappointed about that.

Boots are a bit snug in length and width. Hopefully they’ll stretch out a bit as they break in.

They really felt like nice boots but unfortunately even the 2E was not really a wide fit at all.

Great boot, the first time in my life I have ever had to purchase wide boots to fit right though. Seem to be waterproof and were pretty comfortable right out of the box, I suspect they will get more comfortable with more wear.

The build quality was very very well done, however I just could not get the size right for my feet. I am traditionally an 11.5 and so I ordered that. When I received the shoes they were a little too snug on the sides so I returned and got a wide pair of 11.5's. Unfortunately these were still too snug. Great quality and I've heard great things about the brand but I just couldnt get them to work for me.

The fit was a little off. I have 2 other pair of Danner boots that were perfect out of the box. I ordered the same size I always do and the width felt uncomfortable. I returned and ordered the wide width. Better, but not perfect. I did keep them and after wearing them a few times, they seem to have broken in. For me, I would buy a 1/2 size up to move your foot to the wider spot in the boot and the wide width. The weight was good. I like the design. The soles were comfortable. I've worn them all day before and on a 5 mile walk. If the sizing fit me better, I would have given them 5 stars.

Very comfortable, lightweight hiking shoes. Perfect fit.

I walk a lot for work, and wanted something comfortable for trudging through ballast and the Arizona desert. These are very comfortable, lightweight, and seem to be holding up pretty well so far. I highly recommend these boots!

These boots are very well built, they flex very well and feel great.

Shoes is not water sealed used it one time and got rained on and my Sox soaked wet even with water proof spray
