The quality is as good as expected, but the width is a bit too narrow for me

Pretty happy with Danner sneakers so far. I've been having so much trouble finding shoes that I like over the past few years and the Trail 2650s have been a much needed find. I had purchased a pair a few weeks ago that were not "waterproof" and they felt so good that I decided to grab a second pair that had some water resistance and these are equally as comfortable. So often there is a slight difference in fit between sneakers and their waterproof twin and that was not the case here. Almost an identical feel and size. I've worn keens or merrells for the past 15 to 20 years and over the oast several years those shoes have changed their architecture and as I age my foots structure has changed and those brands have not been comfortable anymore. I've been wearing hoka Clifton 9s for their cushion but I really prefer a more "outdoorsy" hiking style shoe. The Danners, so far, seem to be a great balance of fit and style for what I need. These are also the first shoes (other than the Clifton 9s) that I have not had to put arch support in. I work outside and walk roughly 8 to 14 miles a day. I do not have flat feet, nor do I have wide feet. I'm 6'5", 185lbs.

Very comfortable walking/light hiking shoe - almost as comfortable as a sneaker, but much more robust and sturdy. Their being waterproof is also a huge plus.

Nice looking boot, but it was too narrow if the toe box for an extra wide.

My husband loves these. We did have to size up after purchasing his normal size.

Very comfortable out of the box. This is my second pair, I bought the first 4 months ago and the tread has worn down under relatively light use, so my rating is based on that. Durability can be improved but everything else is great.

I already have another pair of 2650’s and they are the most comfortable hiking shoe I have ever worn so I ordered another pair!! The new 2650’s are just as comfortable!! I only wear my 2650’s!! Every day!!

Great sole, really comfortable, water proofish for an extended period of time. Lasted longer than most waterproof boots.

I bought these for my husband. They are his second pair of Danner shoes. We both love them for hiking/walking because they are so comfortable. They are the most comfortable shoes either of us has ever worn. We are now spoiled by Danner and love it.

I bought these shoes because I previously purchased a pair of Trail 2650 GTX Mid which I’ve found to be very comfortable and wanted a pair in the lower height. The fit and comfort of this pair is the same.

Minimal break in period and they performed great for many miles on the first trip.

Always love my Danners; this is my third (or fourth?) pair. I wear them almost daily.

I just received my 10.5 EEEs, having traded in a pair of 10.5 Ds. The toe box is a little wider, but the shoe cuts inward pretty aggressively a couple of inches in front of the ankle. My orthotic rides up over this, making the shoe wearable and downright comfortable. It's fortunate that these can be laced loosely enough to accommodate an orthotic.

The length is fine but the width is too narrow making uncomfortable to wear

Great on comfort, traction & cushioning. I've put 50 + miles hiking on USFS roads & trails with little discernible tread wear.

Although the fit was good when the boot was on, the constricted opening at the ankle made it a major struggle to get on and off. This was the sole reason for returning this boot. It otherwise appears to be a good product.

Needed a 10 not a 9.5 Try to change it but you wouldn't do it . Sending it back .

The shoe didn’t fit. Both D and EE were too narrow. And I don’t think I have a wide foot. D usually fits.

The gtx run small and the tone box is narrow. I have two pair of the 3650 that are great but the gtx are not for me

Feel of the shoe seemed solid but way too narrow for my foot. Will reorder in a wide.

I really wanted to like the shoes, but they were way to narrow..even with the wide width. Nice looking and otherwise sturdy.

I bought my Trail 2650 boots in 2019 and they are still going strong. I've worn them for hiking on trails and urban hiking around the city. They are my goto shoes for just walking. The support and cushioning feel good and the waterproofing keeps my feet comfortably dry in Seattle! My foot is medium width and the shoe fits snugly with room in the toe box so my toes aren't cramped. The back cups my heel so it doesn't feel like my heel is sliding out nor does it rub against the shoe. I am planning a long trek next year and am trying to decide between the mid or regular version which I currently have.

I really like the look of the shoe and they are nice and light. I thought I would give them a try, even though they are a little pricey. Unfortunately, they are a very narrow and a tight fitting shoe. I can’t lace them normally without my feet going a little numb. I don’t know if they make them in wide, because I would love the extra room. Hopefully I can return them and try a something else. Dave

This is the second pair of the Trail 2650 3" I have owned. Although I have only had this pair a couple of days, I am sure they will be has great as the first pair. Very good shoe!

Recently received trail 3” gtx shoes…love them…have great support…are lightish on my feet…look snappy and my feet feel as good after a walk or hike as they did pre the walk!

Fit and workmanship are excellent. Exceeded my expectations and I wear the shoe on a daily basis.

Great shoe - really light and comfortable. Had to replace my original order with a wider shoe for more comfort. Got it for mid-weight hiking and it's performed quite well so far.

Very comfortable shoe. I had to send first pair back to get a wider fit which is odd because I do not have wide feet but now they fit great!

Only wore these about ten times and they are totally breaking down. I want to return them

Very nice shoe, fits my length and width perfectly. The sides come up a bit high though and cut into the bottom of my ankle bone, which is probably just a me-problem. Going to see if I can get some heel cups or something for that.

Admittedly, I'm not a hardcore backpacker. I was looking for something I could wear on a light hike then transition to the rest of my day. Also, wanted something waterproof. These were very comfortable right out of the box, which is tough for me to find. Two years later they're just as comfortable and showing no signs of wear. The sporty look and cool colors make it easy to pair with casual clothes if you want to go out to lunch and it's raining or there's light snow. I'm sad that prices went way up on the gortex version because I'd love another pair. Zero complaints!

They seem to fit pretty well - maybe a touch narrow but still wearable

Very good on light trail and pavement. Too squishy for rocky terrain. But comfortable. We will see how they wear.

These are my third pair of 2650's and I love them. The support is phenomenal and the durability is tops. Boot level grip with sneaker level comfort. The styling is functional but not at the expense of form. Slipping into a new pair is sublime.

Super comfortable and excellent traction for a recent moderately difficult hike. Shoe does run a little narrow though, so I ended up getting the wife which fit perfectly.

4. 5… I like these shoes. I’d call them light hikers, also good for urban commuting through ice and snow. They’re light which is good. I bought a wide. The fit is good, although I prefer slightly more room width and in the toes. However they’re comfortable…I recommend them.

Excellent quality - very comfortable. Initially thought they were too small but giving time to work leather tops in they fit very well. Shoe could benefit from a little more top of foot and toe height - remember to kick your heal into the back of the shoe when putting them on.

Great design and I wished it worked out but I have wide feet, maybe too wide, for the wide version of the shoe and sadly I had to return it.

I am an overpronator and have quite a bit of problems with shoes. I had been watching Danner for quite a while but never took the chance. When my wife booked a trip for the National Parks in California I was excited and concerned as I knew will be a lot of hiking. But I took the chance with the Trail 2650, they have great reviews and look great. Of course I still was hesitant BUT let me tell you these are the best pair of low hikers I ever owned. We hiked probably 10 miles daily for 10 days NO PROBLEMS at all to my surprise. These shoes are high performing with great traction and comfortable. I am considering get me a second pair!!!! I recommend get them a size over as they are a little narrow.

The left boot is normal, and the right one is crooked.Pulls the foot to the left.The feeling that the axis of the shoe does not coincide with the axis of my foot.Before these shoes, I bought the same model only high -great shoes.And these are very uncomfortable and strange.I'm so sad.

Feels great, the 2650 series, if you will, seems to be perfect for my feet. I have several hundred miles on my original pair. I better stock up.

Material (GTX) is a bit stiff compared to the non-GTX version of the same shoes.

Chose the size based on Danner’s website that guided me through a size selection based on other brands and models I wear. Unfortunately the shoes were too narrow and I’m going to have to return them.

Excellent shoes. Light, sturdy, and comfortable from the box. Not really tested on the waterproofing but seem to be ok in showers.

Great shoe. I work on my feet all day on a hard floor. I know they are hiking shoes, but they are the only shoe I have found that keep my feet and legs from feeling tired and painful in the evening. I will get other colors for work uniform matching.

Great hiking shoe. Just bought my second pair. Comfortable, very durable and nice looking.

I have had the shoes for a month or so now. They're very comfortable and fit great. I do not use these shoes for their intended purpose but they work great so far. I work for a golf course in the grounds department. Was looking for a comfortable shoe that was truly waterproof. So far the Trail 2650 GTX has been outstanding. My feet have been dry every morning working on the course. Time will tell the durability of the shoe but so far so good. I know Danner makes an excellent hiking boot from past experiences, but these trail shoes have exceeded my expectations for sure.

These shoes are the best shores of their type that I have ever owned. They are extremely comfortable and I think they are unusually well constructed. I enjoy having them on and my fe3t never seem to get tired in them. What more can you ask for in a trail/hiking shoe.

Designed with high quality materials and assembled with care. You can tell the difference in the fit and comfort of the shoe as compared to other brands. I’ve owned another pair for several years and can’t wear them out. I did order 1/2 size larger this time around.

Danner's wide models that were produced more than five years ago were wider than Trail 2650 3" The rest perfect.

I love this shoe. I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot. These shoes provide the perfect amount of stiffness to reduce the amount of flex between the toes to heel. As a result, I have zero foot pain. There is enough cushioning that I have used them for trail running. So far, I have only gone for short 2 and 3 mile hikes and runs with my dog. My trail terrain includes, sand, loose stones, packed dirt and ankle deep weeds. The elevation changes by 100 feet with tight, compact hills. There is never a hint of slippage with the Vibram soles on this trail wet or dry. I absolutely loves this shoe. I normally wear 10.5 wide. That’s the size I got and they fit perfect. I have the Gore-Tex lined shoe. My feet Do not sweat much so I have not experienced the dampness others have complained of. I think the Gore-Tex issue of breath ability is limited to those who simply exhaust moisture from their bodies at a rate which exceeds the performance limits of Gore-Tex. It’s not for everyone. I however, love that these are waterproof. I’m not wading in water but I am in deep weeds and grass at 6 am and the Gore-Tex does its job. I love these shoes! Lastly, they are light. These weigh 14.2 oz each. That’s 2 ounces more than my Hoka Speed Goat 4’s. For a leather shoe, I’d say that’s incredibly light. I love these shoes.

Excellent shoe. Very comfortable sole and feels athletic while being "tough. Toe box is a little snug with thicker socks.

I have a couple pairs of more traditional Danner boots and have loved them, especially after the initial tough break in period. I didn't know what to expect from a Danner hiking shoe, but I can say I'm pleasantly surprised with these. They are a true do it all hiker. Sizing was spot on for me and the width was comfortable, and the vibram soles have great grip on pretty much any ground. They are a comfortable leather but feel breathable enough to wear in summer, and they look good enough to wear casually after a hike. The cushion feels solid and comfy and it might be just me but the heel counter on the outside really feels locked in once you tighten the shoes down. I'd definitely consider getting some more non traditional boots from Danner based on how these are.

They are not dark gray, light gray color for sure. I normally take a D width had to go to EE to get my fit. Now I like them alot.

They’ve been very comfortable worn 3/4 times a week for 6/7 hours a day So far they have stood up to the outdoor terrain and have shown good water proof protection I think they look good and have recommended them to others who train dogs The 600 lite hiking boots have also been great Also earning a Id recommended boot

My only concern with these shoes is that the toe box area seems a bit tight. Other than that, these tick all of the boxes for a good hiking shoe. Plenty of traction. The comfort of the footbed allows it to perform well and can be worn all day.

They didn't fit right on my feet. I have quite a few pairs of danner shoes that feel just right. These did not.

The feel of the shoe is great. Nice grip, soft cushion and very comfortable for a rugged shoe. The size is slightly narrower than normal Danner shoes.

Lightweight comfortable hiking shoe with lots of support after you change out the inner sole. I hike the Ozarks and this shoe is perfect for the trails we have. Lots of room for your toes without being too loose and a supportive heel. Flexibility is on target. One of the best hiking shoes I have tried. Replaced the super cheap inner sole with a more supportive one and that really improved the shoe. Highly recommend.

First, I have to say that these are some of the most comfortable hiking shoes I've owned. I bought the 11.5 and they fit well for me with a standard sock. Plus, they look good and, as a nature photographer, I could wear them while traveling on long flights and not feel like I was in my field clothes. My issue is that after 14 months, the back of the Vibram sole is starting to delaminate. I wore them on average 3-4 times per week for 3-4 hours per day on normal hikes (I use my other hiking boots, going on 5 years, for more demanding places). I have lots of travel and hikes planned for the next 3 months, including a hike in the mountains of Rwanda and sadly, I just can't trust these to take me there. So, it will be a scramble to find another brand and get them broken in asap. I hope Danner can find a solution to their manufacturing since a bit over 1 year of fairly light use seems like a short lifetime for this boot. So, for me, 5 stars for looks and comfort and 1 star for durability.

Overall I like them. My right heel feels as though it may or does slip. I put in a small spacer and that seems to solve it. I need a few more miles to be sure. I have purchased many pairs of Danner shoes/boots and I had to go up on size to make these work. So, something has changed (but could be me).

Suuuuper comfortable. Bought these for an 8 day trip to Norway. Only 2-3 days of rain. Feet stayed dry. Hiked 400 meters in the hills. Very comfortable on the climb with great grip. Splashed through puddles. Even after racking up 12k, 17k, and 15k steps day after day, shoes felt soft and comfortable. Not sure how long the sole will last compared to its more rugged counterparts. Lightweight as well.

Love this shoe! Super comfy, robust and it looks great. The only thing that I don't love are the laces. I replaced with an elastic quick lace which probably doesn't look as good but is much more convenient. Either way, I think I found my new go-to shoe.

These shoes are great. I'm on my second pair. The first pair lasted for years and I wouldn't replace them with anything else.

I love the 2650, this is my 3rd pair. It’s like a mix between an athletic sneaker and hiking boot. The first pair I got is still in great shape after a year of work days. All Danner products I have purchased have been great!

A quality hiking shoe. Comfortable but not the most cushioned shoe. If you have a normal width to slightly wider than normal foot go with the wide. Slightly noisy to walk in. Not showing a lot of wear for a week hiking in the mountains at probably 8-10 miles a day.

Just purchased these in the last month and so far I love the fit and feel of these shoes. Looking forward to getting out on the trail in them soon!

As usual, I put on a new pair of Danners and they feel comfortable right away. I have wide feet and Danners always fit without crushing my toes.

I love these shoes. They are comfortable and fit my narrow feet perfect.

I really like these shoes - strong, waterproof and last a long time. The only drawback is that the sole is a little soft and wears prematurely. If you could make the sole a little more durable, this would be the best shoe on the market

Great shoes, wear them daily. They keep my feet comfy all day long. Waterproofing isn’t as tough as I’d like, but for daily wear they’re pretty close to perfect.

Good product. I had a warranty issue and you guys replaced these with the same shoe. I have the med 2650 version that I used on the Camino de Santiago. Comfortable Very solid shoe

I did a ton of research on these shoes and others when I bought them, I thought I had bought the best ones for me. That is clearly not the case! Usually I wear a 13/13wide but in a lot of cases I wear a 14, reading as these shoes run kind of small I purchased the 14's. At first I thought these shoes just needed to be broke in, but the more I wear them the worse my feet hurt. I am on my feet a lot and work and when I get done with a shift and I get home I can barely walk, the insides of my feet are bruised and yesterday I started feeling a shooting pain going up my foot to my heal. These shoes are literally crippling me. Im not sure whats going on in the shoe industry but it seems to me that shoes are getting smaller and narrower every year. I have several other pairs of danners as well and they are all great but for some reason with this model they totally blew it! I will say the materials and quality of construction are still on par with Danners other products, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NO ONE BUY THESE SHOES!

I have had both knees replaced and searched for low cuts that didn't cause pain in my feet and knees. I tried several brands without being satisfied. Then found the Trail 2650 w/GTX soles. I figured I'd try them as several pair of my Danner boots have GTX or FTX soles and BAM they work and are comfortable enough to wear 14 to 16 hrs. I highly recommend these shoes!

Great trail shoe. Feels good on the foot. Provides excellent arch support and has great traction.

I usually wear an 11 to 11.5 wide shoes/boots, so I bougth an 11.5 wide. I had to return them for a 12 wide. The 12 wide fit very good. As far as a break in period, they did not require one. I wore them 100% of the time the week following receiving them on vacation to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Rocky Mtn. National Parks. The shoes are good looking and appear to be of good quality. I haven't tested them as far as being waterproof, but I feel sure they will pass that test also. All of my Danner boots that are Gore-tex have passed the "waterproof" test, and I'm sure these will as well.

Very light weight for being water proof and I like the heel thingy to make it easy to slip the shoe off

This just a sizing review as I just received these. In some brands, I wear a 10D, sometimes a 10 Wide or EE. I have a wide foot and started out by ordering a 10D regular width. The length was perfect but way too tight. I returned and re-ordered a 10EE and they fit perfect. Overall, in this model shoe, if you have previously worn wide shoes or know you have a wide foot, go right to the EE and bypass the regular width.

Very happy with these shoes. Very comfortable around town and on easy trails. Not as good for harder trails for me due to lack of support for the heels—my heel slides some as the heel area fabric flexes too much. Still, I would buy them again. I ordered a suede brush with these, but it was left out of the shipment even though the packing list said it was there. Need to be more careful with your shipping.

Great shoe. I do feel an insole would help to be more comfortable for the bottom of the feet. All in all, though, I’m happy with my purchase. I’ve had your boots in the past and was happy with those, so I am trying your shoes.

They’re on the narrow-side but that works for me. Have worn them 2-3 times on shorter hikes but now am confident in them for the long haul. Another great Danner purchase.

Your Boots/GYM shoe is very comfortable for about 4 to 5 hours. After that my feet needed more support than they provided. I have a pair of 453 GTX Hikers in both the low Ht. and mid(Ht.5.5")(DW-812681). The low height was perfect to walk all day(8-10 hours) It provided the support for walking on cobble stones or concrete. This shoe was discontinued and the boot I purchased does not measure up. Bring back the old boot.

Really comfortable shoe. I use it for work on very old and hard concrete hangar floors. They have good support, and good cushioning. I wear a wide shoe, and they have good room in the toe box. I had an issue with another Danner shoe. First pair worked well on the concrete, and were wide enough. One year later. I purchased the same shoe again because they worked so well. I found that for some reason. They were not as wide as the first pair. They were squeezing my feet. Brianna at Danner worked with me to get them returned for a refund. Thank you. So I tried these to see if they would be a suitable replacement. As it turns out, they work very well for me. Danner shoes are some of the best I've ever. They are superior quality. I have worn their footwear ever since I was in the US Army, and wore their boots as my military footwear. Definitely worth trying!

I wear a size 14 with somewhat narrow feet. These shoes run narrow and I should have returned them for a wide but I walked into some dirt while trying them on so I can’t return them. I was chasing my grandchild. My mistake. I would also say they would benefit from arch support inserts. The shoe overall seems sturdy. I rate it bad for my mistake not returning for a different size.

I wonder if the GTX shoes fit slightly different from the standard, as these slip on my heels more than my two pairs of standard 2650's. But still, outstandingly comfortable shoes, especially re my chronic ball-of-foot pain. And who wouldn't love that blue.

The Trail 2650s feel more like trail running shoes than low-cut hiking shoes.

Great Shoe, just need to be patient and break it in.
