There is a real difference between a steel-toed shoe and a steel-shank (and toe) shoe. These shanks protect my metatarsals from the stress of climbing radio towers and they are worth every penny! Excellent build quality and high quality leather and rubber sole.

Ordered two pair online thinking one or the other would fit. One did and love it! Much more comfortable than the last steel toe boot I purchased. That one hurt my foot!

I've always worn Danner for Hiking/Hunting and they've been a great boot so I thought I'd try them for work. Terrible idea, I've never worn a boot with such a hard, unforgiving sole. I had to buy insoles to make them bearable. Its a shame cause they are not a cheap boot. Nice style and leather, but horribly uncomfortable.

They did not fit as you said they would fit to size , not true

The tongue on my left boot is rubbing the crap out of my foot. Other than that the boots are good and I enjoy them. Even though breaking them in is a longer process than I thought.

Just based off my experience with other boots, they are less true to size. Maybe they still need more break in, as they rub on the inside of the ball of my ankle and that area in general and can cause soreness, but other than that, they are super comfortable, and after returning for smaller size, I enjoy them quite a bit. Wear them nearly every day.

great shoe . wish the laces were of better quality.

I went middle here, hard to really review, had to return due to being too narrow. Be nice if the made wide options for bigger sizes

Takes awhile to break in but after that it’s a great boot

So far so good, only got to wear them for a week though. Job shut down due to Coronavirus pandemic. I work transit and can destroy work boots within months. I’ve been solely a Danner owner of work boots my whole professional career. I own several styles. Couldn’t see myself wearing any other brand.

outside 8-10 hours a day in any condition and the past year these have held up awesome. Comfortable from the start and feels great until the end of the day after about 5 miles. Definitely my favorite danner boot yet.

Very dissatisfied my husband has three weeks with them and they already ripped and the back logos came off he’s prior Marine so he’s had Danners before so these are a disappointment

Best boots I have ever owned…. I’ve tried them all and these were the best. My right foot is slightly bigger. The first day I wore them they felt tight on that right foot. By day 2 they were perfect. These were my 1st pair of Danner boots. These will now be my go to from now on!

These boots fit great right out of the box. I have a fairly narrow foot but like room in the toe box and these boots fit great. The only issue I can find, although most likely because so many boots fit like tennis shoes now, is that the leather inside top of the foot and tow area is a little rough.

The boots themselves are great, but the boot lace grommets were broken and I ended up replacing them myself, otherwise they fit great and are comfortable to wear.

After they're broken in, they're very comfortable.

I counted on Danner Boots for many years in the Military. Glad they make construction boots with the same quality and pride.

These look great but are super uncomfortable. I figured it was just the break in period but a month later they're still practically unwearable.

Very good boots. I read all the reviews before purchasing and I was not disappointed. I'm an electrician and the boots see a lot of use and so forth. Zero issues with comfort, quality, or fit in the first month of wearing.

Very disappointed with these boots. 3rd week and the break in is being too hard. Why do you have to make the outsole too hard you guys? That danner confort system is not comfortable at all. If you walk a lot while at work don’t think about these boots. The worst pair of boots I’ve ever worn so far.

Pros: Boots look great, good traction, good materials. Cons: Not made in the USA! Steel toe box is sharp where toes meet foot, heavy boots.

After one miserable first day of break in. And a week for my toe to heal. Started to feel ok. Then MySpeed lace flew off in week three. If I could return and wait another week or so they would replace them. Not how to do business..

This pair of Steel Yard safety toe boots, very much like my previously purchased Wellington's with the EE width, are not wide enough. I thought maybe it had been an issue with Wellingtons, but these are also very tight in width. I can't imagine how small the normal width boots are, but the EE width are very tight. Blood blisters on the outside of my big toes after the first day of wear caused me to cease wearing these for a couple weeks, before I could resume breaking them in. Now that this has happened twice, I'm fairly certain. Danner needs to re-evaluate the width sizing they advertise. Or, as I've been told... Buy online and you get what you get. I despise having sore feet, so maybe there's something to that. My old pair of Georgia safety toe boots are like comfy slippers. I wore those while my feet recovered from the Danners.

This is my second pair of Danner boot loved my first pair. Needed steel toe work boots so I got my second pair. Order wide they feel tight thought I just needed to break them in more but not just getting blisters but not a big deal. They only issue is the leather look like it getting cuts on the toe area over the steel toe part. Tired to add photos but won’t work.

I’ve had my pair for two months now and can give a fair review. 1st: Took a solid two weeks before breaking in the boots 2nd: Unfortunately they don’t breath well, someone like myself who sweats from my feet, after getting home from a 12 hour shift and my feet are soaked and look like prunes 3rd: I believe that the soles are too thin, which makes the bottom of my feet extremely soar at the end of my days. 4th: One of the tie up latches ripped off after only a month and a half. Finally the look of the boot is great but the quality of all the other aspects mentioned above doesn’t match the great looks. I wear my boots Monday to Friday from 5:30am t’ill 6pm and they didn’t last 2 months. I’m hoping the bull runs I just ordered will last longer and that the Danner insoles( bought separately ) will help with the bottom of my feet being soar These are my fifth or sixth pair of Danners and I won’t be ordering this model again. Perfect boot for a GC who wants to look like they still work but actually stay in the office all day.

Leather already has a hole in it in toe area. Other than that I like the boots.

These boots seem durable, but probably the most uncomfortable pair of boots I’ve owned. Not to mention that there’s no air ventilation. My fair usually barely sweat, but with these boots, my feet are soaked at the end of the day. Won’t be buying these again.

I can’t wear them. The metal grommets dig into my ankles and make it impossible to walk. I tried to stretch them and soften the leather but nothing helps.

I don’t keep them long enough to wear and try out much. I ordered the steel toe steel yards and I figured out very quickly I don’t like steel toe boots. They felt great on the bottom of my feet but just felt like my toes were crammed into the toe box and I have narrow feet as it is. I returned them and ordered the non steel toe pair. I’ll see how those work out and report back.
