I bought these hoping to get a comfortable and nice looking boot for all my outdoor needs. They fit nicely as my other Danners do but man are these boots ugly. The picture shown on their website does not represent them accurately at all and they have a bright white leather tongue. I’d only get these if your really into ugly shoes. I really wonder who designed this style... stupid! That’s all I have to say.

5 stars for Shepler's quick service. The boots fit great, but I know the soles will wear out before the rest of the boot does. This is my 3rd pair of these boots and I love them, but the soles just dont match the quality and longevity of the rest of the boot. Danner doesn't offer a reasonably priced replacement sole option. So it's paying $150- $200 for a new pair when these soles bite the dust.

Nice boot, good support, can be worn for any occasion. This is my 4th pair....love em!

The size is true and even with a wide boot fit. I have wide feet and it hell tryin to find proper fitting footwear. These hit the spot for sure. Then only issue I would say would be the soles might be an issue for replacement.

I purchased a pair of the Radical Hiking Boot many, many years ago. For mountain hiking, I liked the aggressiveness and style of the tread.....great grip when hiking up and down slopes. I have used these boots a lot and to this day, they still look great....most of the boot tread is still there....the soles have never cracked, nor ever separated from the uppers....never popped a stich anywhere on the boot. They are my "Go-To" hiking boot and never failed me. Even though they were Gortex waterproof, immediately after taking mine from the box one of the best things I did was treat them with a waterproofing spray, which made their outer surfaces more resistant to dirt and staining and MUCH easier cleaning. I am really surprised to read the reviews here now of people reporting poor performance of the boot sole....unless Danner made a change in the sole materials (?) It's true I bought mine many years ago.....I've had nothing but great results with the Danner Radical Hiking Boot.

It would help buyers if the add told that sizes run small. I ordered a size 8EE, and couldn't get my foot in the shoe. I had to return them

Outstanding boot this is my sixth pair. I work outside a lot ride four wheelers in the sand dunes and occasionally wear them to work as a landscaper they are perfect

Best boot I have ever owned. Two years of hard use and still waterproof. The soles are in decent shape. The boot overall is in decent shape considering two years of wear. I can't imagine finding a better quality boot.

I wear these for work, and are the most comfortable I have found

I buy a pair of these once a year. I wear the tred off of them . I wear them for a woork boot. I work outside in all weather conditions. They keep my feet nice and dry and are light weight.

While working I wore Danner Work Boots. Since retiring I where the Radical 452 on a daily basis.

I have had the boots for about a month and the soles are wearing very fast. Also the seams where the boots are stitched together are starting to fray already. I haven’t really been in any wet weather to speak on the waterproof ability.

Great boot for backpacking however size did not provide room for aging feet. Was enable to order large size due to stocking issues

It's hard to find large, wide boots. These would be my 3rd pair.....

Little loop in back should be longer so older hands can pull boot on better

Comfortable right out of the box. Just got back from a hiking trip in Colorado and they were comfortable on several long hikes. The waterproof liner worked through several creek crossings and in deep snow. I was never in a hurry to take them off. Great boots.

I wore out several pairs of the Danner Gila until they stopped make them. Called Danner up and they recommend the Radical 452. I can honestly say they know there boots. They fit great! No foot fatigue at the end of the day just an all around comfortable boot!!!

I have had several pairs throughout the years, they are a good all around boot and comfortable ....

I love this boot! I would guess over the years I’ve had over 10 pairs at least. It’s the only boot I wear for elk hunting. Also great for hiking. I just wish you still made it in the Coffee color... I think they are the best looking. Thanks for a great boot. Chris Mack

Great overall boot. A little clunky, and heavy in the soles. Prefer the field ranger overall. Field ranger is the greatest boot I have ever owned and cannot wait until they are back in stock !!!

My 3rd pair. They are good to my less than perfect feet.

I’ve been using this particular Danner boot for several years now because I have problems with my feet and this boot gives me the right support that I need as my job requires me to walk all day long. It’s a well designed boot worth the money.

I wear my 452 boots everyday. Love them. When are you getting the dark brown boots in? I like the dark brown boots better. I go through 2-3 pairs of the 452 a year. Keep making them. Get the dark brown ones in.

The danner radical 452 5.5" is the perfect high performance boot, the sole is stiff like a linesman boot and it is lightweight. I can run walk and swim in them.

Best boots I have ever worn. I have purchased Danner boots mainly 452 , 453 series for the last several years. I love love love these boots. Please get more stock avail somehow. Please don't discontinue this series..

Mostly Comfortable out of the box, slow to break in around the top of toes.

I have owned at least six (6) pair of the Radical 452's in the past. I have worn them in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are great for all weather conditions and hold up well. If you are looking for a great hiking/work boot this is a great one. They can take a beating in harsh condition. I highly recommend.

This is my second pair. I really like them when there new, but the footbed on the first pair became lumpy and caused foot pain. I’m giving them another chance.

These boots are Great! This is the only shoe I wear, 365 days a year. Very comfortable and water proof.
