Overall: I've had the boots for over a year now. Hiking in the Grand Canyon or Blue Ridge Mountains with no problem. I have used them in all four seasons and all weather conditions and they have held up great with no durability issues. Soles are still grippy and the laces have no signs of fraying or wear. The waterproofing still holds up as well. I can step in a puddle up to my ankle and my socks stay dry. The ventilation is still decent and I can wear them in the summer without having a puddle of sweat in my boots afterwards. They are great for really rugged trails and I wear them for disc golf as well. Danner really makes quality boots and these are evidence of that quality. Sizing: I like my boots to fit really snug to help prevent blisters. I wear size 11 tennis shoes (Nike/UA) but I ordered and wear a size 10.5 boots. They are true to size so I would have a little extra toe space if I ordered an 11 but I like the snug fit. Get a pair, you won't regret it!

These are some of the best wearing hiking boots I have ever worn. I have owned several Danner products but, these are my favorite. Comfortable to wear all day and so far, seems to be durable. Hope Danner keeps this color for many years to come as I will continue to buy them.

WOW! These boots feel like you are walking on foam! Cant say it enough, the most comfortable shoe on solid (concrete, pavement) I have ever owned. I hope they last awile, but I will replace these with the same. Slight break-in required. Well worth the price.

Can’t think of what to call it. The liner inside of the boot wears out to fast. It already feels like I don’t have one in the boot.

I have been buying these boots for over 20 years. One year I bought the wrong size , this company not only helped me out but sent a new pair for free. At Elk camp that year ,I told my story about how much I loved these boots the next year and all the years since . That my story and I am sticking to it.

Very comfortable and lightweight, with good grip. Fit as expected. Perfect for New England winter city wear, warm and waterproof while looking decent enough to wear to winter meetings. Would be even (slightly) better with black lace eyes and hooks.

Great boot ! Wear for everyday wear and for construction work

Been wearing these in enduroweave (discontinued) for years and finally blew out my last pair. Got these for replacements and they will we good for cooler months but I really wish the enduroweave were still made. I wear these daily on commercial construction sites and they hold up great!

I've been a Merril guy myself but was in need for new boots and since Danner bombards my social media, I figured I would give them a shot. I've only had these boots for a few months. To break them in I haven't been putting a lot of stress on them. To be honest, so far Ive only been using them to walk my dog. In as little as 3 weeks the seems at the bottom of the front right part of the shoe is tearing (I wish I could upload a pic to this review but there is no option). Couldn't believe it (perhaps I got a faulty boot?). In all they are comfy and they are stylish. But the quality is suspect at best. I gave Danner a shot but won't be buying this brand again. I'll be using these to cut my lawn from now on.

Most comfortable boots I’ve owned. This is the fourth pair I’ve bought. I’m a contractor and on my feet all day, and my feet never hurt when wearing these boots. They look great and hold up well.

I bought these a few weeks ago and have largely been happy with them at this point. They are comfortable and squishy footbed. I have wide flat feet and these fit ok. I do wish they were a tad bit wider and when shipped that they had stuffing in them. The one side of one of the boots collapsed a bit and took a bit of time to become comfortable. I find that these have to be laced up fairly tightly or my foot shifts in them and rubs the side. Overall I’m happy with them and will keep them. I hope they hold up well.

These boots are extremely comfortable. I don’t know why everyone says they run big, I ordered a 1/2 size smaller and am regretting it. Of course they are sold out in a size up, so I guess I’m stuck.

So far, so good. Pretty comfortable right out of the box. Good, lightweight boot. Hoping they only get better once fully broken in. Good traction in light snow. Haven’t really tested their waterproofing yet, but seem to be up to the task.

Boots are very comfortable. The color of the leather is not even remotely close to the color in the picture. I was expecting a brown boot and it’s actually a mustard color.

Very comfortable solid pair of boots. I have only out 10 or 12 miles them so far but it was Rocky desert terrain. They did great.

Been wearing for some time now. Have 750 logged, off the grid bush crafting, miles on them. They are holding up nicely. They are a little uncomfortable wearing in hot weather but not bad enough to subtract a star. That being said, will be using the Full Bore (just received) during hot times in the future.

I wear them ten-12 hours a day in a seed and chemical warehouse. Very comfortable and not too hot. I was very surprised how lightweight these shoes are.

The most comfortable pair of boots out of the box I have ever owned!

I was looking for mid height boot that featured soft leather , great support and a soft sole that felt great walking. I also wanted a boot that was easy to put on and lace up. So far this boot fits the bill. The only thing I don’t know is how durable the boot is. The vibram sole appears to be durable. Time will tell. If the boot lasts more then a year or two, it will be worth the extra money.

Most comfortable boots Ive ever worn! They look great, feel great to wear even after long walks. I'm very pleased after trying so many boots to finally find ones as good as these. Please keep making these boots forever. Thanks so much

Love everything about them except for the lace hooks on the top. My laces will sometimes slip out of them if I'm climbing or bending the boot in an extreme manner. D rings would eliminate that issue and I wouldn't have to tie them again and again.

Great boots very comfortable, lightweight, and have good traction. I did wear the bottoms out in 6 months, but that is typically all I can get out of other hiking boots as well.

I bought those boots prior to my recent trip to Iceland. They were amazing! I trekked all over the island on trails, water, snow, volcanos, and black sand. These boots performed fabulous for every activity. My feet remained dry, warm, and comfortable the entire time. Thank you Danner, I am a customer for life.

The Mountain 600 are great! No break in period and they are very comfortable from the first time I put them on. The fact they are waterproof is a definite plus. I know I will be dry and comfortable no matter where I go.

My favorite hiking shoes so far. Have tried Merrell, Salomon, Saucony, Lowa. All were great, but this is like them all combined. My only gripe at all, is that I wouldn’t describe the color as “rich brown” it’s almost Timberland yellow

My second pair. I’ve spent quite a lot of money on boot’s trying to find the perfect pair. I’ve found them in these Danners.

These boots are very comfortable for walks almost a moccasin feel to them. They are very light and keep my feet dry from the morning dew. The fit is true 11W and expect these to last awhile, I normally wear out a hiking boot in a year, 20 miles a week all weather and road terrain. I hope the lugs and seems last as long as the sole and I will be happy. This is my second Danner boot and appreciate the quality of the products for the price.

Very comfortable like a basketball shoe. Love it for hiking, tennis, work and travel. That’s why it’s such a bummer that this “Danner Dry” does not let out nearly enough moisture! My feet can’t be in these for more than one day in a row and I never thought I had sweaty feet, even wearing waterproof leather boots landscaping all summer aren’t as bad as these in a normal work day inside. Shipping and returns are great with Danner but I waited to long to learn of the steamy function of this almost great boot.

I bought these for my husband who has been having some foot pain. He is very happy with them.

Ordered online the same boot , same size, as the ones I had. I think they are slightly smaller than the boots they replaced.Have never had to "break in" a pair of Danner's in the past but these hurt my feet for the first couple of weeks. They are fine now but think I will try the next pair on in a brick and mortar store before I buy.This is my 4th pair of Danner's , Love the brand.

just took these into baxter state park for 3 days and 20 miles of hiking. Like a rookie, I didn't break these in....but no worries! No blisters and the soles were amazing on the rocky Katahdin trails. these are simple, classic, well built. I have wide feet and I'm a size 12 in most shoes (normal width), but I got a 11 wide in these and they were perfect.

I have purchased Danner boots for over 40 years. I wear 4E in running shoes but Danner’s 2E is a perfect fit. These are the closest boots to early 70’s waffle stompers (Tyrolean Hiking Boots) that you can get.

I own several pairs of Danners but these are just awful. They are noisy, make my feet sweat and they have a loose fitting heal. Bad choice.

These boots are warm and dry. I regularly use them on walks, dog walks, and walks in the woods. I will eventually purchase a pair of Hunting Boots.

One of the best wearing boots out there. I've had all sorts of hiking boots and I will say that the "break in" period on these are minimal compared to other leather grained hikers. Comparable to many of the synthetic hikers these days. As far as quality goes. . . they are top notch. Comfort is on point. True to size. I would definitely recommend ordering the leather care kit for these boots.

My feet do not like breaking in boots. These boots are broke in already thank goodness.

These are the second pair of these I've owned. I wear them Monday thru Friday for 10 hours a day. I'm actually still wearing my first pair to work. Just not ready to give them up. The very first time I wore them we were camping and fishing, I actually had to jump in the lake to rescue a guy who drowning, true story, I didn't have time to take my new boots off. They were drenched but that didn't really matter, the guy ended up being fine. After we dried my boots, they seemed fine. Little over a year later I'm still wearing them. They are super comfortable for daily use, and on the trail. I wear a 13 wide. The wide size is perfect for me. I really do appreciate and love these boots. They are truly waterproof too. My favorite boots I've ever owned. (Why I got a second pair for when I finally retire my original pair.) Thanks Danner boots.

I didn't like the outside material , I like the smoother material more than the felt feel Also thought the leather would be more up to my walking trails better. And color wasto dark ,when i seen it in person. Very good quality .

I returned these boot. I had previously owned a pair of these and loved them but the color I received was much different than the ones I had owned and different than what is pictured on the website. Still, The boots were great and I’m hoping to get another pair soon.

True to size light weight. Nice but not really built for any serious hiking

This non-insulated boot, like all of the Mountain 600 boots, has great traction in all conditions. I did replace the insoles with Superfeet Orange just because I like the stiffer arch support.

Seemed super comfortable right out of the box. I ended up returning these because in person they looked more purple than what the images depicted online. I would not call the color Java. I would have kept them if the color was more accurate.

Purchased these as a summer hiker while my crater rims take a breather from winter hiking. Instantly took them to Alaska out of the box and couldn’t be happier. Light, comfortable and breathable on hikes. Always happy with danner products.

I have a particular problem in my arch such that some shoes will cause pain. While I loved these shoes and they were comfortable at first, with just a couple hours of wear, they triggered that problem so I returned them.

These boots were amazing right out of the box! Only thing negative is the grip on wet rock/surfaces. The soles are a harder rubber than I am used to and are scary slippery on wet surfaces. Other than that amazing! Only my second pair of Danners and I do recommend you try a pair.

Boots fit great and are extremely comfortable but they do not breath at all my feet never sweat this bad in other danner boots that I own.

Excellent life expectancy. Wore the previous pair every day for 18 months. Nothing broke down or became worn except the soles. At 6’3” and 260lbs I really work them hard.

I thought the boot was a smooth leather, not Nu Buck. The picture indicated they were smooth leather.

Not exactly what I was expecting, are a light pair of boots and that is good. Maybe a coat of oil will help
