I have only worn the boots one time so far. They kept my feet warm but were a little to tight. Next time I will purchase a larger size.

Ordered a pair of Vital 1200 gram. 3 months later first pair leaked on a whitetail trip and was sitting with soaked feet. Danner did provide good customer service and sent me 2nd pair, which also tested in sink and they leaked. Danner then sent 3rd pair and 8 months later these leak too. Danner needs to stop producing these outside USA, and go back to a true gore-tex lined boot. I'm hoping they will take this pair back too.

Overall great boots. Light weight for the style of boot and easy to break in. I wish there was more insulation in the toe region, but the weather hasn’t been cold enough for me to see if this is a real issue.

Wore them Archery hunting this year, went down to 25 degrees and i didn't have any trouble keeping my feet warm, do not walk to much through deep water, so i cannot say. but regular through the forest walking they worked great. had my big size so i was happy. can't find many 16 sizes. love them worked great

Men’s 16 D fits like advertised looks great feels good where is greatly can go walking and not have a kill your feet not in cold snow yet but anxious to give it a try very reasonably priced hard to find boot in that size reviews on the Internet or all five stars can see why great company Verano long time

Takes a little to break in. Seems to be a good boot. Have not experienced cold cold weather, but the cold I experienced did well. This boot does run narrow and I have a narrow foot.

These light weight very comfortable hunting boots worked great this year in some very demanding and rocky terrain. I wish I could wear these to work.

Had to return first pair do size issue. Called and received outstanding help in selecting the correct size. Wouldn't have bought the second pair with help. Great fit and comfort. Thank you. Bob

It's another fine Danner boot. I was looking for a pair of 1200 gram 8" Pronghorns to replace my old ones and couldn't wait the 2-3 months for them to become available. I wanted 1200 gram insulation and Vital 8" seemed like a viable substitute for my Pronghorns- and were they ever. The Vitals are as warm with about 1/2 the weight. I have narrow feet and wear arch supports. The fit, both length and width, is perfect without the feet feeling claustrophobic.

The fit is correct, the boots are light and warm. Good value.

Decent boot for the money. Toes are really tight, but seems to have broken in quickly. No room for a toe warmer or thick socks so my toes get cold when i sit. The lace holders on the top half of the boot are tight and tricky to get the laces into...have to really watch what you're doing and pull laces in hard. Good luck ever using heavier/thicker laces. Weight is good, traction is great, support seems pretty good so far. Used in cold snowy weather for Allegheny mountain deer hunting.

they didnt fit and had to return. i was supposed to get a coupon code to reorder the correct size at the same price and never got it.

First, I would like to say wow, the Vital is a great line. I normally wear a D width. The 1200g was a little tight, so tried the EE width- that was a little too wide. Went down to the 800g model with a little less insulation in the D width- perfect fit. I also bought the 400g Vital boot for early season in the D width- perfect fit. Tested the 800g this weekend in -8 degree temps late season bow hunting. Boots did a great job keeping my feet warm! Thanks Danner!

Most comfortable hunting boot I’ve ever owned. I have been a Rocky man my whole life. Had no idea what I was missing out on. I bought the wides and they are awesome. Toes box room , no squished feet inside, extremely soft ride and very comfortable

Bought a set of these for snowmobiling because they don't make a 16 in anything decent that's snowmobile specific. These fit the bill, on paper. Unfortunately the first pair I ordered had a small right boot, feels like a 15. Ordered another pair thinking it was a fluke and those were also small on the right hand boot. I tried talking to Danner and they insisted they were fine so I sent the second set back. I dealt with the small boot because I needed boots for the season but they are not comfortable being too small. I will probably just give these away and try to find something else.

Need to find out if the style I have has a wider size mine I got are too tight what do you recommend for me haven’t worn them know just by putting them on that will be uncomfortable if you can send some info for this style or other options like the boot looks lie it would fit my needs if had a wider size

I could have bought cheaper boots elsewhere, but i spent a little more on them because i thought that danners were made in the usa, very disappointed to see made in vietnam, havent even worn them yet!

Very pleased with the fit, comfort, ease of lasing them. I found them to be satisfactory in our 1st snow of the year. I was concerned that they might be too bulky but that was not the case at all.

I think the boots run on the small size, compared to other Danner boots. I haven't had a chance to try them in cold weather, they were out of stock forever.

everything’s great- still a little stiff after 3 hunting trips- shoelace catches are overly tight- but very water proof and met warmth expectation- size 15 in nike is a touch tight but these are perfect so i would say run a bit larger

Comfortable, warm boots, just what I was looking for.

Boot is stiff and feels cheaply made. And the fit is terrible. I normally wear a normal 11. I ordered a 12 wide and that didn’t even fit. Boots were returned.

I like the quality of the boot, but I find the fit smaller (size 10) than I have with any other boot I've had in the past. It only feels right with light cotton socks; even the thinnest winter socks feel too tight. I'm very hesitant to follow the advice of others on sizing (a number of reviews warned about this), but after wearing these I wish I'd ordered a half size larger (at least.)

2 E is still too narrow and 14 is too long. What I need is non insulated 13 size in 4e?

I bought for my son for Christmas. He called me a few weeks later when shoveling the snow and said he loved them. He said his feet were warm and dry and the boots were very comfortable.

The boots have been really great thus far. I look forward to getting back into the woods to put them through their paces and see how they do over time. They are a little snug so I should have ordered a 1/2 size bigger.

The left boot had a defect. I am going to give Danner another shot to get me a good pair without any defects.

Very comfortable boot. I really appreciate the customer service when I have a problem they are quick and very helpful. Definitely Recommend Danner boots I fit really well and waterproof. I will buy more danners in the future.

Toe box feels too tight, would have loved to get the wide version. Hunting in 20-30 degree weather my feet still got extremely cold.

Ordered EE wide and boot was very tight and the length was small I returned them

I had the Kestrel for 15 years and they were the best boots I also own the Recurve and couldn't be happier. I hunted opening day in CNY, and my feet absolutely froze in 30* weather! I gave them 3 stars because other than my feet freezing they are a very comfortable boot and the quality is obviously your typical quality. I'm wondering if something happened with the insulation.

Nice boot. Sticker on insole balls up but cannot remove for fear of tearing insole. Like the fact it's lightweight.

Definitely run small and narrow. Seem well Built. Will test them out this hunting season.

I was unhappy with the fit and tried to exchange them. Was told the boot was not available anymore. So not really a review on the boot. Just disappointed in Danner and not used to the lack of product availability

I loved the reviews but I received the toots and wore them 2 days. In 20 degree weather my feet froze. I tried different will socks and they still froze. I would not recommend these boots

These were the replacement to my 8” 1000 gram Danner Frontiers that I bought in 2003. These are amazingly comfortable right out of the box, I can’t wait to break them in. Superior warmth and easy to lace up!

I had to take out the insoles to give me extra room for my toes in My last set of 1200 boots Not really wide enough for me wish they were little wide in the toe area After wearing the boots a while they get little soft in the heal area the 800 series really breaks down fast Could be more water proof

I used these for my first elk hunt up in Montana. They were comfortable right out of the box and kept my feet nice and warm.

Day one right out of the box felt good. Second time wearing them they felt awesome. Comfortable to walk in. Feet got a little overheated on the first weekend of muzzleloader but with a par of wool socks they keep your feet warm for the third weekend walking though snow. No issues just a good set of boots. Also waterproof crossing a stream got a little too deep. Any other boots I would have been screwed and had a wet cold boot the rest of the day. Not these.

I was disappointed with the width across the toe box. Was more narrow than my previous Danners. I buy men’s Danner 7.5 to accommodate that extra width but these seemed like a woman’s width. The tongue length was also flush with the sides which made it rub on my shins. I like the style where the tongue sits up higher. I did really like the reinforcement of the rivets where the laces begin. The Danners I am replacing had 4 of the nylon holders rip out within a year. Didn’t fit well but only wore around the house. Had to return.

I work 10 hour shifts in a freezer warehouse. The warmth and construction quality far exceeds any other boots I've tried. The only issue I've seen is the lace hooks have a catch in them and I've already started seeing wear on the laces.

Another amazing pair of hunting boots from Danner !! I did step up a 1/2 size to add a warmer sock. Totally water proof, great support and the warmth they supply is excellent !! I am very very happy with these boots!

Very good fit, there's actually toe room which is hard to find in winter boots, they're also very light weight. I normally wear a 12 D but I got 12 EE and it was the right choice, especially if you wear winter socks.

They are very comfortable. They are not heavy and the best part is that there is no break in time. Which means no sore feet. That's is a huge plus!

Comfortable, easy on and off the feet. Didn’t prep shoes at all, could have been reason for not being completely dry as morning dew would get shoes damp. Warmth was good to 22 degrees for me. I’m 67 with total ankle replacements so can expect issues. Overall a great boot for me. First year wearing and impressed.

Great boots and I look forward to wearing them this season! Was glad to find a 1,200 gram insulation option for mid to late season hunts. Seem to be really well built and same as many of the other reviews very comfortable. I had to reorder one size up. My true size fit but would not acommodate a typical thicker hunting weight sock.

Not a bad boot, for being an 1200gr insulated boot not vary warm with 1/2 - 2inch of snow, and its tight around the balls of your feet fall in the boot " toe box" Does not allow your toes to move and flex like they should when walking in snow, mud and climbing they do a good job at keeping feet dry.

Great boot. Extremely comfortable and warm. I get extremely cold feet and my feet have stayed warm so far. No sweating either. 10/10 recommend.

Boots fit my feet very well. Grip on the ground is good. They are surprisingly light in weight. Inside sole is a bit on the hard side. Will have to put more comfortable insert inside sole liner for less stress on bottom of foot.

Great traction through all a Wisconsin winter can throw at you. I wear a thin moisture wicking skin layer sock and just a regular cotton or light wool sock over it and that’s plenty warm.

Light wt. Great fit. Will have to wait until next winter to evaluate warmth.

Worst boots I’ve ever owned and this is my second pair! I believe in second chances,but not third. They’ve leaked from day one,the soles squeak so spot and stalk is out of the question and the lace eyes broke! Even customer service said I should’ve gotten a boot that had Gore-Tex waterproofing rather than Danners waterproof. They did give me half off my next pair,but already wasted my money twice don’t think I’ll do that again! Plus they’ve had same style hunting boots for several years now about time they change things up a little bit.

I have been wearing this style Danner boot almost every day for years and this is my fourth pair, but the first of 1200G. I also purchased a pair of TROPHY 10'' 600G boots, just a few months back for upland bird hunting and some light hiking and I must say, they are in a league of their own! And yes, the breakin is different, but amazing how comfortable these boots were right out of the box. I have had surgery on both feet and have screws in both feet and I need to be sure the soles on shoes or boots don't flex and have good support and this is why I wear "Danner Boots" almost every day of the week! Right hand boot was too small on first pair, felt like a 15 but was labeled 16. Sent back first pair, ordered another. Second set also is likely mis marked.. Rode them on my snowmobile trip, didn't have much choice. Boots wore easily from friction on snowmobile and the right boot is too small. Waiting for contact from Danner to hopefully resolve sizing issue. They are warm and comfortable though.

I have only worn the boots 4 times with roughly 6-7 miles on them. If you're not used to a taller boot, there is some break-in time. Overall (so fa), these are top notch.
