It’s pretty good but I don’t need the belt tip. Nothing wrong with it but I don’t like the look

This is the second time I have been asked to review an item that I never recieved. The item was never shipped to me and I finally canceled the order after more than two weeks after being informed the order was lost somewhere and was never transferred to UPS. I then requested a refund. Sheplers provided the refund but did not refund me for the shipping so I paid shipping on an item that was never shipped to me. I was then contacted by a Sheplers store more than two hours away from me infoming my order was there and available for pick up. I have ordered from Sheplers periodically over the last 35 years but I doubt I will again after the difficulties with this simple purchase.

Great idea but the end piece or tip will only fit a certain height and of a belt. Even if you purchase a Cody James belt, this will not fit in. It’s almost impossible., for me, totally impossible to find a belt that it will fit. You would think that Cody James, who makes this would have saw to it that it would fit their own belts. Don’t waste your time in purchasing this! It is beautifully made, but impossible to find a belt that it will fit.

I am very, very, happy with this buckle set. Looks great! The small belt shown in the picture though is not 2.0 inches - it is 1.5 inches. This is the width (1.5") of belt needed to fit this buckle. Also, you will need a very tiny screwdriver to unscrew the two small screws that hold the tip to the belt. I bought mine at a store that sold (eye) glasses. Are very inexpensive. I recommend you go to a shoe repairman to have your belt end cut to fit the sliver metal tip. I tried to do it myself with both scissors and a knife, but it was just too difficult to cut the leather. Take the small belt with you to serve as a pattern. The shoe repairman I went to used special cutting pliers and a grinder to get the job done. Also, remember to take the small screwdriver you bought with you - he will not have one this size. This buckle set gives the wearer a "presence" - it does stand out. People do notice it! In the 1956 movie Giant, James Dean wore one exactly like it. Not close to it, but the same one. I am sure it is the reason the movie wardrobe department chose it. I did not realize this until after I bought it and was looking at pictures from the movie. Just one more reason to like this buckle set.

I bought this buckle set for a 1 1/2” belt I have. The set says it’s for a 1 1/2” belt. The buckle and keeper fit just fine. The tip not even coming close to fitting. Between the manufacturer & seller, it should be specific about fitting. Obviously this buckle set should advise potential buyer that this will only fit a tapered belt.

Seems to be a well made set and looks really nice. Belt needs fitting for it to go on and not too thick of a belt either. Gives it a classic look

Happy with this buckle set. Have to do some cutting for tip piece. Sharp knife will do it.
