This is my first pair of Carhartt boats and I am very disappointed. It seems like the eyelets dig into my leg above my ankle. I have tried thicker socks, tied the boot as tight as I can get it, tried to wear them loose and I have had no luck. I thought it might be because they were new and needed to be broken in but that was not the case, I tried to tough it out and wear them until they were broken in but the eyelets continue to dig into my legs. There is not enough padding on the tongue and maybe I am just too hard on boots but I never had this problem with other brands of boots. I thought I would give Carhartt a try but it's not working out and I am going back to my other brand of boots.

I'm a concrete laborer. I go through a pair of boots every 8 months, doesn't matter the brand.. I bought these boots because they were on sale at farm and fleet last winter and I really needed a pair. I was figuring the old eight months but it's may 2020 now and I'm still wearing them. They are pretty beat up now and I'm ready for another pair and I'm gonna buy these ones again. After 8 months they had a couple rips but never opened up. The toe caps are torn, but that always happens. Over a year they are still comfortable, original insoles. I put new laces on em, and my boots seldom make it that long unless they come with junk laces. I recommend these boots for sure. I'm gonna keep the old ones around to junk out in the mud and try to keep the next pair even longer than this one. I didn't think the treads would be aggressive enough for slick mud but they work pretty well (much better than those cat boot treads but not as good as a traditional waffle) and clean easy. They were waterproof for about 6 months which is pretty good if you ask me. I usually buy an 8" boot for the ankle support but these felt/feel solid. I like the comp toes instead of the steel as they keep ur toes a little bit warmer in the winter. All in all I give em a 4.5 and when they go on sale for less than $90 I'll probably buy 2 pair.

Always my choice of brand, very durable. I choose Carhartt because of the durability class of boots/work wear.

This is the third pair of this boot I've ordered, they're tough, long lasting, and my hard orthotics don't rip the sole off like other boots I've owned. Haven't been to a shoe store in forever because I can just order these and they're the same every time.

I bought these for my husband. He really liked the appearance and functionality but they did not last very long. It could have been due to how hard he worked them but in both our opinions they did not last very long. It's been three months and they look pretty rough and are falling apart at the bottom. We're going to give the carhartt boots another shot.

These boots are very comfortable. The only problem is the heels are coming loose from the soles. I use these boots 5 days a week.

I love mine, they have lasted forever . But now after 2yrs time for another pair.....

I have worked in the auto repair for 20 plus years and as you can imagine, I have owned many work boots. These Carhartt boots HANDS DOWN best I have ever owned. But it is not a surprise due to everything else I have purchased is WONDERFUL. Hell my Family & walk at the local YMCA and I wear my work boots. Thank you for such a great product

The toe abraded away with the first decent scuff. Chemical exposure destroyed them. Didn't flex well at all.

Although the boots I purchased are 81/2, they are actually larger. They look good but they don`t fit me.

so far there great my only question is that is there a spray to make them a 100% water proof

Left boot for some reason has a piece of leather near the tongue that digs into my ankle and it hurts.

Took a few days to break in but I like them.

Just as advertised. Size is true. Appears to be well constructed. Time will tell about durability. I would give five stars if the break in period was shorter. I would highly recommend

Best boots I have ever owned! As a masonary labourer my job is hard on my boots, but these have lasted me 2 years... And they are still going! They fit great and are comfortable too. I will be buying these boots again when my current pair become worn out

Seam jams into the inside of my ankles it doesn't matter what I do. I have to put gauze pads inside my socks to be able to wear them. Very disappointed.

I’m a diesel mechanic and I’ve had these boots for a year now. I am typically hard on boots but these one haven’t lasted too Well. They are very very comfortable out of the box, and they break in really fast. They were comfy for about 5-6months. After that the lining all started peeling off the sole, and the worst thing was that the padding on the steel/safety toe all fell off. So now the sharp metal or composite toe or whatever is exposed so it cuts into the top of my toes. I tried to include a good photo but it’s hard to see the inside of the boot. After a year I can say that have not held up well like I hoped. They aren’t super expensive so that’s nice, and the soles are still relatively comfy even with all the liner peeling off. But the leather and the actual boot itself a pretty torn up. If you’re not on your feet much and just like the look of them they will probably be okay for a year, but if you work on your feet I would certainly avoid these boots. Just the constant walking around will tear up the toe part of the boot. One thing also worth mentioning. These boots would be terrible option for outdoor workers if you work in cold or inclement weather. I’m from Wisconsin and work almost exclusively in a shop. But when I went outside In any weather that Was colder than 25-30 degrees for very long your toes get very cold very fast.

Great boot last about 2years for me. Great fit and durability I’ll be buying this boot again.

Comfy and last much longer than comparable products. I'm in the construction industry and can honestly say, I do not have to buy 2 pairs boots once a year. You go Carhart

Really wonderful boots! They are clearly super durable. I'm using them mostly for landscaping and DIY projects around my home. They offer more than enough protection and are super comfortable.

Bought a pair in December 2016 after 4 months had to exchange due to defect. Second pair lasted about 8 months, uneven wear on the soles caused a hole to appear and allow water in boot. Own a lot of Carhartt merchandise, these boots are by far the lowest quality item I've purchased.

Would recommend these boots! My son works as a mechanic and he loves them

Most comfortable work boot I have every wore been on job 33 years. Turn around time was great on getting them was great.
