[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work in a fruit packing shed, its 30-43 degrees inside year round and this jacket keeps my nice a toasty. In the snow I wore it in temperatures down to about 25 and thats when it starts to not be enough to keep you warm while walking

It was exactly as I expected. It fits and for what I wanted is very nice.

Great jacket for work or casual wear. It is warm, functional, but also still decent looking enough to wear outside of work if it's not too dirty. It runs a little short. So if you don't want it to sit right at the waist, maybe order a tall size. I am 6 ft 1 in, 210 lbs and got a large tall, which fits just right.

I absolutely love the jacket, the moss green is a new favorite an would like more options for the color on other items. Extremely warm and find cutting. And the Sherpa lined hood is amazing!

The jacket arrived just in time combat the early winter weather. It fits very well and kept me warm and comfortable while working outdoors. Would highly recommend it. Five stars.

It looked great and was super comfortable right out of the box when it arrived. The fit through the chest and belly were true to size and the sleeves were long enough. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the fact that the jacket is a little short for it to be sized as a tall. I am 6’5” so take that into account. I look forward to wearing this coat for many years to come as it continually gets softer while maintaining the durability Carhartt has always been known for.

I'm impressed with the design, the look, and the quality of the jacket. I would have given 5 stars, but like some others in reviews I've read I'm concerned about constancy of fit. I initially ordered a XXL (2X), and it was gigantic so I returned it and re-ordered a 1X (XL). Although this is only ONE size smaller the coat is actually tight. I plan to keep it because I happen to be in the process of losing weight. My point is that I was surprised that just ONE size made the difference between a coat billowing off me and one a tad tight. The coat is imported and perhaps the company needs to get a handle on the sizing aspect of production runs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket, very warm I have had mine for about a year and have had no problems standing up to the cold or anything I put it against. I’m 6’3” and weigh 225 I wear the large tall and it fits like a glove won’t buy another jacket against this one.

It looks awesome & it is a Christmas gift for my son!!

I bought this coat a little big thinking it might shrink, but it didn't. Now i have room for a hoodie underneath if i need to add another layer in the Kansas winters. THis is my best cold weather coat. Easy to care for, durable, and very warm. Keeps the wind and moisture out. I work with horses, and other outdoor chores and it is the best quality outerwear i have ever had. Had it 2 years now, and know it will last awhile! Only 2 manufacturing things to mention since i have worn this coat a lot, and that is that the hood string is too short and hard to tie. Also, the hand wramer pocket linings are too thin and are starting to rip through at the seems - not from cuts, but from the fabric tearing at the seems.

Great jacket, worked great during latest cold spell in upstate New York, temps went down to -10 (-35 with wind) and I was able to work all morning clearing snow and ice.

Good work jacket

I know that this was what my husband wanted however it does not fit and he is sure that if I go a size bigger than it will be to big so he did not let me return it YET. Tough to rate when it is hanging on the coat rack. Love Carhartt the only thing my husband wears so I am sure that the jacket would hold up.

I run cold and was looking for a tough and warm jacket I could wear for work. I always wore the ski jackets, but I needed something that could handle rough work. I love all the pockets(especially the front zip one) and it really keeps you warm against the northeast cold winds. There's room to layer in the jacket. The zipper does seem to be the weakest part of the jacket, being that it struggles to zip everytime.

Hey, I wore my jacket for the first time as it has not been cold out until now. I am a little disappointed that the zipper broke almost immediately, I know that this is not the norm as I have numerous Carhartt clothing pieces. Could not wait to receive my Carhartt. I am a big boy, and am a consistent 3XL Tall. This jacket was more like a 1XL Tall, I couldn't even zip it up. I also bought the Flannel lined as I was not sure which I wanted. This fit very well, but the outer material was like plastic. Terrible comfort factor. Both are going back, Very disappointed!!+

I would say this jacket is close to perfect. The only complaint i have is the torso is a little short for me. I'm about 5'10, 175 and i ordered a Large as recommended by the site. Another 1/2 inch in added length would go a long way. Other than that i love this jacket. Highly recommend it.

It’s a well built jacket and it’s feels heavy and I’m sure it would hold up against in cold weather. I had to return it because it felt just right and didn’t give me room to stretch in it. I wear large normally but I’m not a fit guy.

I am 6'3, 170 pounds (so, tall and thin/average build). I have a Carhartt sweatshirt that fits me perfectly that's a large, and the "true to fit" size for me with this jacket was a large. I kind of doubted this, because I know how precisely the sweatshirt fit me, and I knew the jacket was probably going to be too exact to my size to layer underneath, but I went with the large anyway. When I got the jacket, it seemed a little short when I tried it on. Yes, it fit me perfectly in the chest, waist, and arms, but if I bent over I felt like the jacket would lift up and expose my back. If you're around my height and weight and trying to figure out what size to buy, get an XL or tall size. The large fits the chest and waist perfectly, but the waist doesn't sit low enough (at least for me). If I layered underneath it with sweatshirts, it might get tight in the chest (bad if you need good mobility), and it would especially be too short, that's why I'm definitely exchanging for an XL. Other than that though, it's a really nice jacket, and I am excited to get my XL in a couple days!

My husband has an old Carhartt jacket similar to this, without sherpa lining or hood, that he has used for 20 years. It finally got a hole in the shoulde4, giving me a chance to replace it for his birthday. This one is more slimming, longer, and watmer. I loke it much better and he likes it as well as the other (which is now the yardwork workwear). For the record, he is 6', 220 lbs and got a Large Tall. Perfect fit!

Nice coat but I got the wrong size

Purchased for my son and he pretty much sleeps in it.

Not the quality that I have become used to from Carhartt The zipper is of very low quality in my opinion, definitely not as good as I was expecting. The pockets are way to small, and I don't have very large hands. I bought the 2XL and I expected it to be larger as I have purchased XL in the past and they were bigger than this. Prices have gone up quality has gone down over the last few years. I was expecting better than this.
