My boyfriend lovessss these pants for work. They are super durable and well made. He claims they are super comfortable for a long day and enjoys how they fit. If I had to purchase another pant these would be them.

Very good pants. I particularly like the material which has a softer hand than the normal Carhart canvas feel. I also like the fact that you don’t have to deal with the hammer loop which almost no one ever uses. The fit is a little big but I can live with that. Next time I’ll order one waist size smaller.

I bought a pair of these and loved them. I went back to buy a second pair of a different color. The second pair was a different material, different cut, and different size. I checked to see if they were the same model and they were. I am not sure why they were changed but it was not an improvement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm giving only 4 stars because the sizing. I've seen other people have the same issue. Other than this, the pants are excellent. Very comfortable. I wear a 38"-40" waist in most pants, so I ordered one of each to try both sized. They were both too small, so I ordered a 42" waist and they are huge. I tried on another pair of 40" waist and they fit fine. I would definitely try them on at the store. The sizing is inconsistent.

These fit great and allow all kinds of odd movements I have to do getting in and out of trucks and excavation holes. However I've only had them a couple of weeks and the area under the crotch and back to the crack has worn down significantly to wear the canvas material is now a faded lighter color and is now pilling. Unfortunately it's clearly visible to others if my back is turned which makes me self conscious, and makes me feel like these won't last very long even with light use. The color I wear is Moss, perhaps other colors wouldn't wear out so quickly but I don't know.

They seem good as office/town pants. Pretty thin material so they definitely wouldn't hold up as work pants (rugged? Nope). But I like the way they fit. A rare Carhartt style that's made in my waist size (29), no hammer loop, and not ridiculously baggy clown pants like a lot of Carhartts. So I like them!

I was super excited about these pants, then super disappointed. I have a pair of double front Rigby pants that I've washed 5-6 times and still fit great and are very comfortable. I thought I'd try this pair hoping for the same fit and comfort. Purchasing the same size, they fit fine out of the box but once washed (per instructions) they shrunk significantly. Dropped about 1" in the waist and 2" in length, making them look ridiculous. I'm returning this and trying to decide if I replace them. I'm quite disappointed.

I started wearing these pants a few years ago. The first few pair I got fit perfect and I was completely happy with them. They lasted me a good two years before I even started looking for more. In the past few months I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find the same pants that fit like my older ones. Every pair I buy fit so different. Some VERY long in length and some very small in the waist. I remembered after washing my old ones they really fit even better. So, I get the new one and wash and still nowhere close to fitting the same. I have tried different colors and nothing fits the same. I loved the pants and it makes me sad that i cannot purchase these and be happy. I’m now looking into other brands and hopefully can find something close to the old ones. I hate carhartt is now like all the other companies where it is hard to buy the same piece of clothing and they fit exactly the same. After hundreds of dollars lost , goodbye carhartt.

I've bought two of these pants in the last two months as the fit me very well. I'm smaller and thin and the 30 waist / 30 length fit me perfectly. I have always had a hard time finding pants that fit well because many other brands seem to have poor quality control and pants labeled the same size can fit very differently but these have been consistent. At first I was concerned the relaxed fit would look baggy on me but the are perfect - what I would call "regular" fit. I plan on getting a third pair in a different color. I've also purchased socks and jackets and have found the same good quality. Their waterproof jackets are great,

Also it does not say that in description until you receive them it's on the tag. Also since they do stretch some . I'd like to see some stretch in the waist band. Waist is a little snug. Maybe due to them fitting at the waist.

I purchased these for my tall and skinny husband. His pants had been wearing out so quickly that we weren’t sure he would be able to find a pair that would actually last a long time (more than six months) and still look clean and classic for his casual work environment. Thankfully, these pants are great for what he needs and the durability is impeccable. These purchased just under six months ago and there isn’t a sign of any damage or wear and tear that will require a new purchase.

I bought these to complement my blue jeans collection. There are times when I need a pair of work pants that are a little nicer than denim. I'm finding out one size of Carhartt jeans is not the same as an identical pair of work pants. These are lighter to wear and about as rugged as jeans. Wife-approved, too!

I purchased two pair of the exact same product description and item number in November 2018. They are made from a mid-weight Duck fabric. The ones I just purchased are made from a ''canvas' material. Even though both are labeled "Relaxed Fix", the new ones are much tighter in seat and thigh (I still have old pair to compare with), and fabric is not near as comfortable. Note: Old pair are made in Nicaragua; new ones are made in Bangladesh.

Tried them on in store, and then bought 3 pairs size 33x34. They fit great, and not too tight. I dont like pants that squeeze my legs and these dont. The material is thinner than most other pants so wearing these for warmer weather is what I will do, how they will hold up with later abuse is another question but I will just have to wait for that.

I use them for climbing and they're great plain and simple. They're holding up well - even when brushing against sharp limestone. The fit and stretch allow even the most flexible moves with ease. The functionality of the pockets are great for what I need - large enough to warm my hands or to fit comfortably my things. Finally, when paired with more "stylish" clothes - I find they elevate to a cool more casual look. A great value in my opinion.

Great made pants. Very well made. Only problems I had is they shrunk after washing a little and while the fit around the legs are great, the waist area are tighter than I like. These pants I guess run a tad smaller bc I wear a 35 in wrangler and they fit great but these are tight at 36 so I'd Rec two sizes up from wrangler would be about right for me.

Shrunk too much in length. Even with a cold wash.

I bought the BN2291-M in a 34 x 34. They were good when I tried them in the store but they shrunk during the first wash. (We wash everything at low, or cold, temp.) They are closer to a 32 or 33 length. I can't comment as to how well they would last, functionally they seem fine. Since then I found the BN3279-M and it hasn't shrunk after a few washes.

Love these pants! Highly recommend these to anyone!

We purchased several pairs of these work pants a year ago thinking that they would last a long time, as the brand previously had done, but there are now rips in every single pair just from normal every day walking around. Very disappointed the company has outsourced and the fabric is significantly thinner than they used to be. Plan for maybe 6-8 months of average wear.

Ordered many carhartt pants and these are the shortest ones, I'll have to give them away or return them because I actually won't wear it. Size 32x32 and they show my ankles unlike the other 32x32's. I'd recommend buying a longer inseam that way you can hem them.

If you are looking for work pants do yourself a favor and look no further. These pants allow you to mover freely, keep you cool and are very durable. I have been through several pairs of wranglers, dickeys, ariat and many more. I was at the point where I didn't know what to do i hated every pair of pants I had until I got these and the game was totally changed I almost like going to work now that I have something comfortable, reliable and even good looking. Never ever will I buy any other pair of pants.

I have used carhatt jeans since I started working in the electrical field (1993) but since recently moving to Florida I have been using the lighter dungarees ( too hot and humid for jeans here in sunny Florida) at least in the summer months and I totally love the way they fit and feel ! The dungarees are lighter and breathe better than the jeans and are durable. I would and will recommend them to anyone in the field.

Purchased 4 pair of Carhartt pants for my son and he absolutely loves them! He wears them to work but they also look so good he can wear them out as a dressier option too. Great pant!

runs short in inseam, would like to see available in 33 inch inseam.

Wanted to like these, not sure what's going on with the waist size and the reinforced stitching near the pockets are quite uncomfortable. They will do the job but for the price I'm not sure it's worth going for.

My husband said they’re the most comfortable work pant he’s ever owned. The material is soft to the touch but thick and durable. The material isn’t stiff and rigid, very easy to move and bend in. Pocket placement is ideal.

My favorite pants are the model B290. Unfortunately they are not made in Gray. I have tried other styles but none of them look good, on me. That is no fault of Carhartt. I wish the model B290 was offered in more colors than black, blue, and tan.

I have 5 pairs of Rigby Dungaree. They have held up very well. The stretch feature is great especially if you sit down a lot. My only issue which is common place among manufactureers is that they all fit different even though I have ordered the same size. I just need to make the effort to return them for exchange when ordering online. That said, I will continue to buy these because they look good and wear great.

I bought these for my son for work. He loves the flex dungaree because they are comfortable for work, but can also be worn when he goes out. They hold up well after many washings. The sizing is spot on. He has several pairs that he has worn for many years, and they are still looking good.

I have 4 pairs of these pant. 2 Peat colored fit as expected 1 gravel fit as expected. 1 part of dark khaki. It has taken me 4 times to get the fit. 3 pairs were so off in the waist I couldnt fasten. The 4th pair fits wonderfully. Ordered a 5th pair and they were too small again. Not sure whats up with the Khaki version but the waist line are a size smaller than marked.

Soft, comfortable and performs as they should,, until the crotch rips out.

All Carhartt pants blow out on the seam in the crotch. The fronts and rear never do. How about adding a gusseted crotch for all of us that bend, squat and climb around? I'm 58 and for 30 years, crotch goes first.

Possible wrong size on tag. 40s were smaller than 38s.

Ordered a 38 and they were too small. Ordered a 40 and they were much smaller than the 38,s by about two inches. I could get the 38s buttoned and on. There was no chance at the 40s . Just returned them this morning.

Color is a bit darker (the dark grey) than I expected but that's good for hiding grease and dirt...it's a bit larger than I expected, esp. length; will go a size down next time.

Four plus years ago I purchased my first Carhartt pair of jeans and they've become my favorite; so much that I purchased four more. The fit holds up, love all the belt loops and the cell phone pocket where I store my glass case. My only wish is that I didn't try them sooner.

My husband loves them! Very comfortable! The only thing is they shrink in length when drying even in low heat, so you should make sure you take that into account when purchasing.

I ordered 4 pairs of these for my son; I ordered in his usual size; they were snug; I knew they would shrink; Carhartt made it really easy for me to exchange; I called and reordered in the next size and they credited me when they received mine and shipped the new ones; they came in just a few days; these are much lighter than the heavy carhartts and appear to be a great choice.

These are great pants. They are good for almost any type of work. The reason for the 4 stars is because the front pockets are a little small to put my hands into. The pocket is large but the way they have the opening is poor. Please correct this. I don't think I have overly large hands either.

I bought 2 pairs (dark kaki and coffee) of these about a year ago and the kaki color is the not true to size. The dark kaki color The waist is ok but inseam is no good., I wear a 36 - 32 inseam and they are way short. It didn't help with after first wash how much they shrink. I should have tried on in a store before I bought The coffee color is a way better fit, true to size

I purchased one pair and loved the way they fit and take abuse well. Sometime went by and I purchased two more pair in different colors and they all fit great around the waist but the length of each one was different, up to 3 inches longer. I have gotten used to it but not happy for the cost I would expect better consistency. With that being said I am ordering more as we speak because they last a long time, the phone pocket is key for me in my line of work and they have a nice look to them in the field.

The rugged flex dungaree are my first Carhartt pants. These pants are very durable and the flex fabric is not overly aggressive. I’m not a fan of flex technology but, can handle the percentage with this style. I’ve bought other flex pants from Columbia and they shrank to skinny jeans. These have not shrunk but, are a little too baggy. The pants will stay overall wrinkle free if you immediately pull them out the dryer and onto a hanger. I would recommend and plan on purchasing more Carhartt pants.

I purchased one pair of these canvas work/play pants, my first ever Carhartt's. They're a perfect fit for my medium build (32X30), and the durable fabric feels really great. I was so pleased that within a week, I bought two more pairs in different colors. I wish these pants were more available in brick-and-mortar stores. Regardless, I'm set for a good long time. I love the pants and own multiple pairs. They are functional, good looking but have one major flaw... they are as durable as tissue paper. I find that my phone and wallet wear holes through the pants well before their useful life is up. The "rugged work khaki pants" are much more durable and wear like iron compared to these. I love them, but I will stop buying them. I find that I get less than a year out of these pants compared to 5+ years of use my other pants are getting. Heavy duck fabric or jeans are not always appropriate or comfortable. There has to be a way to get more usable life from these pants...

I ordered this style only because the B299 was discontinued. The B299 was durable and had a great fit. These are unusually long with the same 32" inseam that I have been wearing for a couple of years. They also feel and look longer/looser in the crotch. I tried washing in a long hot cycle and drying in high temperature but it did not significantly improve the fit. Also, the fabric comes out of the dryer more wrinkled than the B299. Too early to judge durability. I will not order these again. Bring back the B299.

Pants were manufactured in Nicarauga and do not fit as well as Carhartt items manufactured in Mexico or Bangladesh. Fabric quality is not as good as the Mexico or Bangladesh Carhartt pants I own. I won't buy pants on line in the future.

Fit is perfect, material is the Carhartt quality you expect, though lighter and thinner than the old-school canvas so I don't think it'll last quite as long. In my opinion that makes them more comfortable though especially in the summer months. My previous pair of these had a hole in the crotch after about 3 years but that was with some pretty regular use.

The pants fit well?..my chief complaint is that a basic stain remover discolored them. This has not happened to any of my other clothing. I dropped a piece of food on the leg and used a stain remover that I'd need using for a long time and it discolored the leg after I washed it.

First time being these pants. I have the blue jean version and found them comfortable. The weight of the fabric is perfect, not too thin, but not too thick, and the stretchiness of the fabric make warring these pants very comfortable. I’m an Engineer and these pants blend nicely with blue collar and white collar, work situation. Finally, the execution of the phone pocket is perfect, easy to use, but hidden. I’ve been buying work pants with hammer loops and utility pockets or cargo pants, which work, but not as well as this style of pants that was designed specifically with a pocket for a cell phone. I have a iPhone X and it fits in the pocket perfectly.

This are without a doubt a work horse. This are perfect for the summer months. I work in oil and gas. (Industrial electrician). This are my go tos for 12 hour shifts and many long days. The triple stich and the durable yet lightweight canvas make it perfect for the hot summer months. My one drawback with this pair of pants and many of other carhartt pants is the waste band I have to size up because there's no stretch. Thighs, legs, everything okay but there's no stretch in the gut. I like many other blue collar Americans have a gut. Weather it's from beer, fast food. Or grocery food. If u make the waste band more stretchy. Like the fr advanced wrangler comfort jeans. This will definitely hit the nail on the head. I hope someone in carhartt HQ will listen. We bought these for my husband in a size 33/34 as that is what he wears in every other brand. These pants were waaaaay too small in the waist and waaaay too short. I measured the inseam and they were 32.75 inches long, so most definitely not a 34, even though that is what we ordered. I don't know if we got a pair that were made incorrectly, or what, but I'm wondering if a 36 inseam might be the way to go. These were part of his father's day gift, so we were very disappointed. I'm willing to order a bigger size, but that does not make him very happy either! LOL!

Hello, First of all, I love the Flex Rigby Dungaree pants! I have 3 other pair and the fit and wear are fantastic. The new pair I received is not what I ordered in terms of size. I ordered 33x28...as is the case of my previous pairs. These pants are not 28 inch inseam and are at least 2 inches longer. I did not try them on prior to washing...what can you do for me? I look forward to your response. Thanks.

Pants fit well. I ordered an inseam longer than what I usually wear to accommodate for my work boots. Nice pair of work pants if you’re not doing anything too rough like trade work. Also, they look nice to wear outside of the workplace. I will be purchasing more of these pants in a different color one day! Great work.

Pants were not true to size. Went to a retailer and got the same pants at the same size that fit far better, and it was as though they were a different size entirely. Not sure what happened with these specifically. Ill just buy in store.

Overall I love the pants, pretty much the only ones I wear. My only complaint is one out of every couple pair I buy are sized way too small at the waist. I just purchased two pair size 34x30. One fit perfect, the other is very tight only at the waist. Difficult to close the closure.

I'm on my 3rd order for the dark khaki - 36x32. The first pair was too tight in the waist, the 3nd pair the inseam was an inch too long. We'll see how my 3rd pair comes in. I order the exact same pants in the Peat color and they fix great.

Fit is comfortable, have not used enough to assess durability. I received these at the same time as a pair of Canvas work dungarees in the same size. Waist fit the same but these were shorter in the inseam. When I measured the inseam these were 1" shorter than stated size.

Recently purchased two pairs in separate colors in the same sizes. When they arrived, the tags stated they were the same size, however, one pair was a full inch and a half longer in the legs than the other pair when laid on top of each other. Inseams did not match. Will be returning.

The fit with the flex is very nice and comfortable. So far they’ve been holding up very well and the pockets are nice and deep so the wallet stays where it’s supposed to. The cell phone pocket size is excellent and provides sufficient space for the phone, a marker, pen and clip-on knife. I like the pants and highly recommend them.

Perfect for daily use and the fit was spot-on. Great pair of working pants for construction. Durability is fantastic, and the stretchy fit helps a lot when bending down. Only downfall I noticed at 1-2 uses was very tiny holes forming at the corner of the back pockets where they meet the seat of the pants.

These pants are awesome. Very comfortable but can take a beating. Excellent temperature regulation. I usually wear Kuhl pants because of the cell phone pocket and comfort. These pants are half the price, have a perfect cell phone pocket, and have the best temperature regulation of any pant that I have ever worn. Great job Carhart!

Really like these pants I have 4 different colors(gravel, navy, dark khaki and peat) they all fit perfectly except the navy. I ordered 34x30 for all but the navy pair fit like a 36x32 and will fall off without a belt, and are to long. It would be 5 stars if there wasn't inconsistencies in sizing

The color is slightly lighter in real life, than the picture depicts. I was expecting a little more stretch in the fabric, but I’m thinking a couple of washes may help. I have larger thighs and constantly look for pants to fit the area, but maintain a clean look. If it wasn’t for the slight tightness in the crotch, they would be 5 stars.

I have always loved Carhartt clothing when it fits. I ordered online from Carhartt and it took longer than expected to receive my pants and their sizing is inconsistent. I ordered the same style as I’ve had before in the same size and they are 2 inches longer than my old pair. The same time I ordered this pair I ordered another pair different style same size as always and they fit great. I figured since it was a different material maybe I’d wash and dry and they’ll shrink some, no luck. I’m now stuck with a brand new pair of pants that I’ll need to go get altered if I want to wear them.

These pants have spoiled me in comfort to the point that I never want to wear jeans again. They are much cooler and dry much faster than jeans. However, every pair I have, has either ripped, or is about to rip in the crotch, and I bought my first pair maybe a year ago. The pair I am wearing right now will be done for the next time I squat down while I’m sweaty. I have two pairs of the bibs as well, and one of them has ripped in the same place. If you are skinny, don’t sweat, or don’t squat or kneel a lot, they may hold up fine for you. I’m super bummed because I really don’t want to go back to jeans for work, but I cannot afford to keep buying these every time they rip. Also, the sizing seems inconsistent. Every pair I own (5) fits a little different. One pair is exceptionally snug in the waist.

When I put the pants on they are a little tight. However, they look like high waters. Then they slip down almost slipping off. The length is good but I don’t want to feel like they’re going to fall off. These are 46/30, there is no way I could get into them into a 44.

I just purchased a pair of these pants at a local store and I'm so pleased with them that I am going to buy a few more. Although, I haven't had them long enough to rate their durability, I've given them the benefit of the doubt based on all the other Carharrt items I've worn over the past 25 years. Sizing these days seems to be all over the place when it comes to buying clothes. I have pants from various manufactures with waist sizes running from 32 up to 35 that more or less fit my waist. Normally, a 33 inch waist is about right, but often the legs and seat are too baggy in that size. These are 32 waist and the over all fit is perfect for me. Alas, I have a short inseam, so these 30" length pants ( shortest available) will have to be taken up a bit. As a long time buyer of Carharrt clothing I've always been pleased with their quality and durability, but I always wished they'd come up with some pants that were a little less beefy and suited to a more casual look. They've done it with these.

Great feel, love the little bit of stretch you get. Wider than I wanted at the ankles, good for work boots but not ideal for anything else. Very unhappy about them shrinking after washing them. Fit fine when they arrived but after first wash the length shrunk a solid inch and they now hang above my shoes.

I am a high school teacher, nothing rugged about my job, but these pants are perfect. They are not too heavy, not too light, they stretch just enough. Take them right out of the dryer and they are ready to wear. I even get compliments on how nice they look!

Wish more pants came in a straight fit, the relaxed fit is just too baggy. They are pretty durable, but I rip through the knees a lot faster than the double front pants. I prefer these since they are more flexible and lighter. I prefer the pockets on these over the straight leg version, they have a zippered pocket that I get my hand caught on constantly.

I ordered a size 31 waist and 30 length. When i received them i tried them on and they were really tight everywhere. i am 5'7" and weigh 150 lbs and and have a flat stomach. All my jeans, slacks, and dress pants are size 31 waist and they fit me perfectly. THESE PANTS ARE NOT SIZE 31 WAIST. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT SOMEONE MESSED UP BECAUSE THE PANT SEEMS TO BE LONGER THAN 30 INSEAM AND THE WAIST IS 100% NOT A SIZE 31. On a smaller note they do not flex at all. RECOMMEND SELLING A 65% POLYESTER BLEND PANT IN SIZE 31.

The sizing is completely different from my other pants of the same style and fabric, so they are too big, which I only noticed after I washed them. I’m guessing there was a difference between bolts of fabric. they’re still great and durable, just going to have to have them tailored, which is unfortunate, and costly.

FOR THE NEWBIES OF CARHARTT....These are the pants that fit normal, they are not rough or hard that take breaking into necessary. If you wash these separately in fabric softener it makes them the most comfortable, hard working, sturdy pants you'll ever own. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST them to anyone !

I really love Carhartt gear but don’t understand how all the pants fit differently. I had to return these. I have 4 different pair and have different sizes in a couple of them to fit the same. These ended up being to short even though I have the same size pants in the same style. They were an inch shorter pre washed than the already washed pairs I have.

I live in south Louisiana where it's hot and humid most of the year. I wear Cintas shorts for work for about 8 months out of the year. Im very picky on pants, how they fit, how heavy they are. These are the best fitting, best weight ratio and most comfortable I've ever bought.

This is a very good pant. The cell phone pocket works extremely well even for large cell phones. I would suggest that they duplicate that cell phone pocket on the left side as well for left-handed people as well as one extra pocket that you could put things in. To include your wife's cell phone when she's wearing her yoga stretch pants. Thank you.

I've ordered several pair of these pants, Everytime they fit differently and the materials are different. They come from different factories across the world and the consistency between pairs of pants was very bad.

I've been buying Carnartt pants for about 10 years now which speaks to their quality but i must say their quality control of their sizing is not good at all. I'd say 40-50% of the time the sizing of the pants, eventhough the same model and size i've had before, is different in some way. Sometimes they fit good, other times too loose or too tight, and some times not even close. I've never had a problem returning items that didnt fit but the percentage of clothes from Carhartt that do not fit properly exceeds other clothing manufacturers.

These are hands down my favorite pants to wear. So much so that I think my wife is starting to dislike them because I am always khaki from the waist down. Haha. Truly, they are the best wearing pant Iâ??ve even had. Comfortable all day long. My only bone to pick is that I bought a pair that was 33â??x34â??, which fit perfectly, and after drying it, they were about 33â??x32â??. So then I bought a couple pair of 36â?? Inseam, assuming theyâ??d shrink to the perfect length and, oddly enough, they didnâ??t. So now I have super long pants. But I love them and wear them almost exclusively. Thanks, Carhartt.

Sizing is way off. Tight, tight, tight:( My son wears 38:36 in wrangler and Levis. He would have needed a 42 to make these pants work. Style and quality seemed good. ONE BIG THING… Carhartt is a work pant. BIG AND TALL men are out here. You have got to start carrying 38, 40, 42, etc in a 36 or so length. So many men are big and tall, not big and short.

I've been ordering these pants for quite sometime now due to how comfortable they are and have a very good fit without being baggy like normal carpenter pants. They have a more tailored fit making them great for just about anything from going out to on the job. However they have a serious fatal flaw which is why I constantly have to keep buying new ones. The crotch and back sticking blow out within about a year of wearing. All other parts of the pants are perfectly fine and have held up except for the crotch area. Carhartt should redesign this part of the pants by installing a gusseted crotch with more stitching to prevent this further from happening. It would also be nice to see more color options available also because like I said these pants can just about do it all.

I own the two pair of the same style pant but in the ‘shorts’ version and they are terrific; very comfortable and a great fit. However, when I ordered two pair of the pant style, one of the colors fit extremely tight in the waist and the other color was cut about two inches too long in length. Poor quality control is my review. I found these on the carrhart site, but if I could find them in a store I would hope for better luck with trying other sizes.

I'm stationed here in Okinawa, Japan on a US military base. I bought two pair of these pants and have been wearing them for a few months at my warehouse job. The fit comfy, but both pair ripped at the top of the back pocket. I've always heard that Carhartt was extremely durable, but not in this case. Total let down and they weren't cheap. I do a lot of walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling on the job and these are so far the best for my needs. I'd love for them to come in more dark colors. Cedar, navy, and black would be awesome. Be aware that they might there might be differences in the overall fit when trying different lengths. I found that there was a pretty large difference in how the pants fit when shifting between a 30 and 32 inch inseam. When on my body they both looked the same length but the 32 fit much better.

These were a gift for my adult son. He likes the cell phone pocket in these pants, and that they are a dressier pant. There was a style I got him a year or so ago that had a different (less visible) cell phone pocket on the thigh. We liked the old style better - the pocket was more hidden. The new pocket looks a little more like cargo pants with the pocket stitching visible on the outside. Still decent pants, but please bring back the less obvious pocket ! Thanks.

Ordered these pants in black and an olive green color and they weren't comparable is size. The legs on the black pair were so wide I could nearly fit both my legs in one of the leg and the green fine well (alittle wide in the legs, but bad). The waste was accurate, the black was alittle snug, while the green were comfortable, the length for both were pretty close.

Overall they've held up quite well. There are no loose seams, the belt loops are very sturdy, and the fabric is great. However, be warned that these pants are not made of stone and it is pragmatic to get more then one pair of these as, overtime there was a bit of color fade/whiteness that appeared in the left knee but this was most likely due to an error on my part in washing them.

I bought a pair of Carhatt work pants in a department store and noticed the waist size run small. I wear a 34in waist with all my pants. I decided to increase the waist size to 35in with this order. The fit was better, but the material runs big down the legs now. I relax fit is ok, but I won’t buy the loose fit again (35in waist). The leg area is just too big and baggy.

I purchased 2 pair of these and loved the fit/comfort. The only problem I had was with one pair due to using for work. I wore them while I was removing some floor tile and I ended up with hole in then knee area by the time I finished with the room. In hindsight, I should have used some knee pad to wear over the pants to keep them from wearing out so quickly. I am writing this review only because I have seen reviews indicating they are good for work which I agree with just want folks to be mindful as these will not stand up like the Duck fabric ones. I was able to patch them but they are not so pleasant looking now, I still love the pair I don't wear when doing work though.

Was excited to get a pair of these for my birthday but the flex isn't very good and the fit is very much a skinny cut. I'm not a huge man, but these run very small and this aren't comfortable. The side pockets are designed in a way that makes loose change fall out of them very easy when you are sitting down. This is the first pair of Carhartt pants that I've bought in 2 decades and was expecting a lot better pant.

really like these pants. They are a good weight, especially for warmer weather . The stretchy part is ideal for the sitting position, particularly in a car. The lower vertical pocket on the right leg is a good fit for my iPhone SE in its protective case. My wife’s iPhone 11 is too big. Detracts from a grade of 5. The other vertical pocket on the right is too deeply to be useful for me, but it’s not in the way. My phone will fit, but it’s hard to remove. Those are the reasons for a grade of 4. I like the material mad the fit. I like the pockets, how large they are and access to contents. Belt loops are good, in number and spacing. I bought 2 more pair after trying them. I would buy another if they had a darker brown than what is called khaki.its just a bit too light for me. Overall, I recommend these pants to anyone looking for general use clothing.

I ordered these pants looking for comfort, durability and lightweight so I was looking for pants that would be cool enough in the summer heat and they are but tough enough to handle anything I threw at them. The fit is accurate. Mine were 32/32 and fit true to size. I’m happy with my purchase.

I like the look and the durability. However, they come out of the washer and dryer really wrinkled - much more that the Carhartt Twill pants I like and wear all the time. Any suggestions on how to minimize the wrinkles?

I was hoping they would be more comfortable. Compared to every other pair of 34 inch jeans that I own, these are just tight enough to be worn but not loose enough to be comfortable. I have 34 inch wranglers that I need to wear a belt with. I am 6 foot and 190. I am not going to dry them the next time and see if that helps. Other than the fit, I like them. However, the fit is the most important thing here.

The entire rugged flex like is junk. Being in metalworking trades, I'm hard on pants, but far cheaper items have for outlasted these (not saying much at 3 months). The fabric lacks abrasion resistance and will develop holes in short order. After that, they will spread with little effort. I've tried patching them, but even the holes made by a needle grow rapidly. Do not buy these if you plan to do much more than sit in the truck all day.

Used to be my favorite pants when made in China. Now that's changed to Nicaragua I guess the size standards have changed. This has happened to me more than a few times. I thought ordering straight from Carhartt would be a safe bet.

I don't have the buns of a sprinter and still there isn't enough room

Terribly inconsistent sizing. I have purchased over 20 pairs of Carhartt pants of the exact same size (36x32). Some fit great, some are too short and some are too long. I do my own laundry so that is not the issue. Also, the fabric seems different with each order. I like Carhartt pants but I wish the sizing issues would be corrected.

I've been wearing Carhartts for years and these are my newest pair. The fit and color are exactly what I wanted, with the high quality I'm used to. The only disappointing thing compared to my older Carhartts is they came out of the dryer very wrinkled--I normally almost never need to iron my pants but I might have to make an exception for these so they look their best. But all in all it's a small problem.

I really like these light weight pants for summer wear. They do not have an annoying hammer loop which catches on everything. The other short fall is the very short zipper length. Carhartt has a winner here, but could improve the zipper length and make more work pants free of the hammer loop.

Bought these pants because of the flex technology preventing the pants from riding up and it did exactly that! Another feature I have come to love is the side pant leg pocket. These pants are great for any occasion, from working outside to a casual night on the town, these pants don't disappoint!

I have 4 pair of these pants. 2 made in china, 2 in nicaragua. The pairs from China fit me perfect, the exact same pairs from Nicaragua are at least 2 inches larger in the waist band. Other wise the pants are great. Light and comfortable, not baggy like other Carhartt pants. The pairs from Nicaragua are going back, hopefully I can find some from China, otherwise I will find something else.

I bought these for my son. He is a big guy. These pants fit great. He loves them. Liked them so much that I ordered another pair for him. He says that they are just right in the flex department. His only small complaint is that he wished they had another pocket on the side of the right leg.

These pants have a nice look and while roomy, still have a slender appearance because the leg openings are a little bit smaller than the carpenter pants. Good quality for the price. I highly recommend getting a pair or two!

I've worn these pants cutting wood, got them covered in black dirt gardening, and mostly as a casual pants in an office setting. I don't like khakis but these look just dress enough for me wear to work at my day job in dress casual setting. So I've worn these for a number of years, and I don't have to be afraid of having to change my pants when I come home and do something dirty in them. Outside of grease (Which with dish-soap pre-treat and couple washes, still not bad even then.), I've never really had them stain on me. They will shrink as with most pants if you do not follow the low tumble dry instructions, but only had one pair I've accidentally done that too. I've bought probably 8 pairs of these in last 6 years or so and results are that the two oldest inseam wore out on me after a lot of abuse years of use and a shrunken pair. The shrunken pair is my fault I put it in on a hi-heat load with heavy sweat shirts had forgotten they were in there, but still wear em they are just a bit tight. Only major con really is the fading. The dark colors seem to fade fast, light colors of course not as much.

I like these pants but they shrink like crazy. Attached photo shows two pairs of 34x30. The black pair underneath are new. The tan pair on top have been through a few washes (always cold or warm - never hot). I would add two inches to the waist and leg if I bought another pair.

Good fit in the waist but too long in the inseam. I have multiple pairs of Carhartts all 34 length and they are all over the board on actual length with these have been the longest. Unfortunately I will have to have them altered because I am afraid if I return them for the next shorter size they will be too short. I have found Carhartts sizing to be very inconsistent.

I was a massive fan of the 100634 the Ripstop pant but now they’ve been discontinued I thought I’d give these a try. They’re ok the flex is nice. I like the secured aspect of the cell phone pocket other than that it’s a fairly standard pair of carhartt pants which is good. I measured my waist at 38.5 inches before buying and they are super loose. I can cope with this but it’s not ideal. Carhartt - Wip give clothing tables with exact measurements if Carhartt did this it would greatly assist with getting correct sizes. I think given the prevalence of vanity sizing and the different heights at which trousers are worn fits true to size is not that helpful. There are loose threads inside the back pocket where the material ends again ok but not ideal. The hip pockets seem quite shallow I know the cut of the pocket is different but with bigger phones and more EDC a deeper pocket would be better. If stretch is a must these will be for you but I will probably wait to see what comes out in the next couple of collections before I settle upon my go to pants of the future. Ripstop was the perfect weight for me and I’m sad to see that it has gone from the range as a basic five pocket pant. These would probably grade as more than three stars but given the ratings I have given other Carhartt products in the past I don’t think I can rate these higher.

I love this style, however the last pair I bought locally was supposed to be 36W x 34L. As soon as I tried them on I realized they're actually 34x36, I could not even button the waist and the cuff was on the ground under my foot. (made in Nicaragua)

strange that the styles of pants/color are not consistent across the board. The 3 pairs of five-pocket in Hickory were unbearably tight in the waist while the 2 pairs of these in the exact same size fit absolutely perfect. my only small gripe is I put my old HTC one M8 in leg pocket which fits it perfectly but only a small amount of walking and the phone was rubbing against my leg as I walked to the point of feeling like it was going to blister the skin. Ideally, I'd rather have a pocket in a different place than near my knee. I wouldn't mention it if it weren't really uncomfortable. Sitting down / driving having a phone in that pocket is perfect but If I had to walk any distance I would default to carrying a phone or anything of similar weight/size to back pocket. The fit/finish of these I absolutely love & couldn't be happier.

Listen, I work as a commercial construction superintendent and these are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn on a job site. Not nearly as rugged or durable as some of the other Carhart offerings, but oh buddy are they comfortable. Also, they look great. Get some.

As stated before, when you get a true to size pair, they are great. Make sure to try on before purchasing, because the waist and length vary immensely from pair to pair. I just got a pair of these 2 weeks ago at 36" waist, and they practically cut off the circulation to my legs they are so tight, fitting more like a 32 than a 36. Other pairs I have received fit as advertised.

I have another pair of these in "peat" I think and they fit great. Ordered the same size and these are too tight. Love the pants i already had- very comfortable and the cell phone pocket is great! But the tan ones I bought are a little off in size.

The rugged flex RD pant is very comfortable. The material stretches with movement and the color doesn’t fade like other pants. I’ve tried to find these pants at work clothing stores, but they’re always sold out. So I ordered two pairs direct from Carhartt and they arrived in week.

I bought two pair and would have bought three but one color was discontinued in my size. I like the look and feel of them and noticed a nifty pocket within the front pocket. They're pretty new but so far I'm very happy with the quality and my purchase.
