These bins are warm!! Run a little big. I’m 6’2” and weigh 230 and the large fits me perfect. Had to return the XL. Worth the money!

Cheaply made, nothing like the extreme overalls of recent years. These are half the thickness of the ones they replaced. They are warm but not very durable. I’ve worn them for two weeks now and there is wear in places already. The Yukon Extremes of years past could be damaged only when cut with a sharp blade or burned from my 10 years of experience with them. The design is not very practical for working, maybe for fishing. The hip pockets are tiny, like dickys pants pockets, they added large cargo style thigh pockets that are a little impractical and tough to access. In day two of wearing them the left thigh pocket tore off, more fell off though as it didn’t get snagged or anything, just felt it flopping, looked down and my pocket was hanging off. The button on the right leg doesn’t stay snapped when walking in deep snow which causes the zipper to start creeping up, opening access to the top of my boot. My boots have been getting more snow in them with these. My previous set lasted me 5 years and other then absorbing water like a sponge they are still superior to my new pair.

The old extreme bibs had zippers at the hip to be able to reach in your pants pockets. They no longer have the upper zipper, also the suspender clips are plastic, as well as the zippers ,it seems they won't hold up, but time will tell.

Had to replace my old Carhartts only because I got fat. They were over 10 years old and will definitely go another 10, 20 +. Love Carhartts.

Very well made! Thin lightweight and can really feel your body heat being stored. These will keep you warm for sure. I’m 5.6 210lbs and I ordered a large short . They are snugg hope I can break these in? I’m always in between sizes and xl short are way to long.

It is impressive great quality I’m riding my Harley Davidson in it and it’s cold where I’m out I’m feeling nothing get through let’s see how it does in the middle winter But I have no doubts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to order 3 of these. I am 5'10" and I'm a stocky 235. Based on my chest size and height, I should be in the XXL Reg. This was big enough for me and my wife as well as about 9' too long. I ended up with the XL short. Even with my MUCK boots on, the bottom almost touches the ground. Once you find your size, these are fantastic and I am very happy with them. They run tall and large though.

Bought these when they first cam out. Still in great condition. I love them they are really warm perfect for working in cold weather. When I have to get a new pair I will be getting pair of these.

If you're looking for something comfy with lots of mobility, this is what you need. It's so warm that depending on the weather you might not even need a jacket over it. Some people complain about the plastic zipper, but so far i've had no problem with it and it honestly seems better if your going to be going somewhere that's really cold, you won't be trapped in it by having the metal zippers freeze on you.

Large regular, a little snug and long. XL is to big.

I got this for my wife and she likes it very much. Warm and easy to move in. Make doing chore in the bitter cold more enjoyable.

First of all, they fit great! second, there are many secure pockets! Velcro pockets in the back- Velcro pockets in the front- Zippered pockets on the top. Since I ordered these to ride by motorcycle in cold weather, anything in my pockets will be secure! There are also easy access hand pockets to keep your hands warm if needed. I also like the front heavy non-metal zipper front with Velcro flap, and zippered side legs with snap secured flaps. I can get these bibs over my clothes and boots, and still block the cold. I ordered the bibs, instead of coveralls, so I can wear my heavy leather MC jacket with them. However, these are such high quality, I may order some coveralls as well! I use ID.me at Carhart to get the military discount! BTW they have THE BEST long sleeve T-Shirts in existence.

Great quality product. Worth it for weather below freezing.

Not nearly as warm as the previous extreme bibs I bought in 2014 that were stolen. Leg zipper only goes one way, and doesn't go as high, so getting into your pants pockets is a hassle where it used to be simple and easy. You have unzip your whole leg, since you can no longer unzip down from the top. Being able to unzip down was also nice when you get too hot, but when you're not ready to take them off. Looking for new old stock of the old version, I'll just take the loss on these if I can find the old ones. These were designed by someone who never worked in them.

Seems to be well made but the sizing is very odd. Tried 3 sizes so far and none fit right. Too tight in the chest and waist area where the legs are gigantic. Needs adjustmenst of some sort in this area. Not what you expect from Carhartt. Only place its loose fit is the crotch and legs.

They are garbage compared to the r33 bibs, very disappointing that carhartt ruined a great product,

Very warm and easy to put on. Spend the money and you get a great pair of Bibs. Live in Fargo ND and I know the cold.

Bibs are warm, fit as I expected. Easy to slip over boats also they are built to last a long time. They are a great option for any snowmobilers that are looking for a geat set of bibs. Material is built to last so very different Material than your typical snowmobiling bibs. But not an issue I'd rather have bibs that last. I went snowmobiling this weekend with some buddies and one had a new pare of typical bibs for snowmobilers. His zipper ripped out of his bibs first hour of ride. Case closed. Carhartt is the way to go.

Have not worn them yet weather is still warm , but disappointed bought a large short still long wish they were about 3” shorter. And I can’t believe they will be warmer than the R33 extreme that I’ve had for a long time.

I bought a XL-Tall and it was too big for my husband. I am sending them back for a standard XL

I was hesitant at first, these bibs are EXPENSIVE. I am a snow removal contractor and it is not uncommon for me to spend 24-48 hours in a piece of equipment, truck or outside at a time. I bought these pants because the sidewalk machine I am in has no where to store things as keys, wallet, knives, tobacco, etc. They are worth every penny. Warm, water proof, breathable and durable so far. I hope they last. Just purchased the yukon extremes jacket to go with, thanks again for making a superior product.

My bibs just came via fed ex today and I was so happy I drove home at lunch to grab them. It was around 16 degrees today and I was doing crown molding on a ladder up and down with a lot of standing too. I started out the day in my standard insulated cotton/canvas carhartts and finished with the yukon extremes. My leg muscles just felt warm and comfortable. They are a baggy cut on the legs but lighter. I hardly noticed them on the ladder. I am 6' tall and 180 pounds. I ordered large. I got the talls because they were on sale and quickly hemmed them. They were 4" too long. I imagine the regular length would have been fine. I like the material etc. i am very happy to have these. They solve a lot of problems and make it easier for me to work on cold days

Carhartt really went cheap on these. The plastic shoulder clips break easily in the extreme cold. Please bring back the metal clips. Sizing is very generic. And very hard to find if you are fit.

These bib overals are very durable. Don’t wear out very easy. My oldest set is 11 years old and knees not worn thru. I do pipeline lube service work on right of way. Always on or under equip very old and new. Very tuff material. The new ones I bought three winters ago are good to but the thread in the front zipper and pockets etc wore out in two months. Zipper unklhooked. Stitching all worn off. Need better thread. I think the old set the stitching for zipper was under the flap tha covers zipper. The stitching never worn out on them but zippers are once a winter. Always worn out by spring.

I’m a older guy with a big tummy. I tried to order bibs to fit. Instead I was asked how tall I was to size me. And that’s how they shipped Them out.. When I receive them and try them on I could not zip them from my waist to my chest I was too big but the pants and all was fine. I really had no choice but to keep them because I was scheduled to work outside at temperatures at -10° to -15° below Fahrenheit. Other than that they fit perfectly in the legs and they kept me warm. I only wish I could zip them up to my chest

I’ve been wearing carhartt bibs for 30 years and they keep getting better. I wear carhartt all day, everyday, all year round. Working in Indiana puts this company to the test day after day, year after year. Their is a reason we still search for carhartt to have a solution for our situation and they have to let me our my family down. Well done carhartt, you’ve covered this family in your profession for the last 50 years.

Returning it because I don't trust the plastic buckle. I need these to last a 6 week field research expedition in Antarctica. I used to use the bibs with metal fasteners on the straps but these have plastic. I don't trust it un cold antarctic weather for weeks, so I have to return.

Great for work . Keeps you warm I would recommend these if you work outside . Only problem I see is there is no side pocket that always you to get to under clothes pocket .

Purchased 12 of these coats for my crew the new design would be fine if not for the garbage zipper, why go away from the metal zippers, Carhart didn’t make the line tougher they made it typical overseas made junk. The new extreme bibs have plastic/nylon zippers and plastic buckles at the shoulders. Mark Valade Your Great Grandfather Hamilton is turning over in his grave, you have taken a tough well built product and turned it to typical overseas cheap trash. Time to the hunt for a new company that makes well built tough built for construction workers outdoor extreme clothing

Materials are great, warmth is pretty good. I use these to snow blow in Buffalo. Still need to layer up if spending some time outside. The biggest issue is size. I need a small in length but large in chest and waist. I went medium and the chest and waist are extremely tight. I wish there was some elastic or way to provide some additional space in that area. As of now I don’t zip The bibs all the way up to keep them from being too tight.

I weigh 224 and I'm 6' tall the regular XL fits me perfect I can wear clothing underneath and be comfortable.

Like normal when it comes to Carhartt the fit is terrible.

Warm on the coldest and windiest of days! Love the level of warmth with the lack of bulkiness and appreciate the many pockets. Sizing is perfect. (5'11" 165lbs. Med/Regular). I believe the material will resist snagging and ripping.

The material they are made from is good as always but there are some changes in this style compared to the older Arctic Extremes that Carhartt used to carry. First of all, you used to be able to order the extremes bibs by inseam and waist. Now you order Small, Med, Large, etc and short, regular or tall lengths. I previously wore a 34x32 in the older Arctic Extremes. Turns out in this new style, a Medium Short fits best. The Regular length ones were so long my toes wouldn't even stick out of the pant legs. Try them on before you buy. The height of the bib front is good for me, but some people prefer it to not be so high on the chest. The extra pockets are nice.

I buy these every year for over 25 years and this year they are thinner than normal and also Plastic fasteners instead of metal fasteners So not really pleased

Wish you guys would go by waist and length instead of small medium or large

Bought these for husband to wear for snowmobile bibs, they kept him warm and dry. he is very happy with them.

Feels warm though haven’t tried it in extreme cold yet.

I ordered these for my husband who is working in Alaska! They fit him well, keep him warm in below zero temps and are holding up to the elements of his messy job.

Only thing I’ve found with these bibs is if your 5’3” they’ll drag by a good inch or so. I ordered large shorts as the medium was to tight for comfort sitting in which I’ll be doing mostly ice fishing. But the length on these is almost too much for comfort I have a feeling I’ll be ruining the bottoms by walking on them quickly. Definitely have to add a hem or button to keep them up further. They’re very warm and pretty wind proof though which is nice.

Front pockets suck. They are like lady fake pockets the side zips don’t go high enough. You can’t access your pants pockets. Returning immediately. Bring back the Alaska extreme line.

Super warm. Having snaps and zippers on legs really makes it easy to put on and take off without taking shoes off.

I can’t order my size, unavailable they say, I went through everything that goggle offered, 3XL short , nobody in Ontario carry them, I’m so sad. I’ve used Carhartt clothing for 30 years in the film industry.

Bought them for outdoor work. It hasn't been cold enough yet to wear them but I have no doubt they will be all I expected and then some. I will highly recommend these Yukon extremes

The biberalls are of high quality and design. The fit based on the fit chart was good but would benefit from including inseam length rather than short, regular, or tall.

I was completely amazed as to how light (in weight) these big overalls really are! They are, however a super heavy weight in keeping you warm when the temperature drops below freezing. I found out that I should wear a long john underneath or pants to keep the sweat from building up . I initially made the mistake of wearing shorts under and my legs would begin to sweat up and feel "wet" underneath the bibs. When I would return to the cold weather is when I noticed that the sweat that had built up would really make it feel cold inside. I have been so happy with my purchase and haven't felt cold working outside this winter. I strongly recommend these to anyone that works outside this winter.

I like the durability of these pants. They seem to be made from the same stuff the older Arctic Extremes were made from. I've had a pair of the Arctic Extremes for 20 years and they've held up well with the exception of the zipper pulls. They all busted off years ago. Speaking of zippers, that would probably be my main complaint about this new style bib. They do not have the 2-way zip to hip feature that the old Arctic Extremes had. I constantly have something in my jeans pockets that I will inevitably need to get after I've put my bibs on. Be it the car keys, wallet or cell phone, it is incredibly inconvenient to try to get something out of an inside pocket. You just about have to undress to get to it. Carhartt, extending the zipper back up to the hip and putting the 2 way zipper back on would immensely improve these bibs. He lack of that feature alone makes me wonder if I should have shopped around for a comparably durable product with better features.
