Waterproof, light, very comfortable and appropriate for riding and hiking. I wear size 6 or 6 1/2 in most brands but always size 6 in Ariats. This is my first pair of waterproof Terrain boots…..highly recommend!

These boots are great. I bought them for my boyfriend and he loves them. They are water proof, tough, and don't wearout too fast. They are alsolight weight andflexible!

Love these boots, comfy right out of the box. I have been wearing this style for 5 years now. I walk several miles a day around the homestead and wear them year round! Sadly not so easy to find in size 6 or 5.5

I love how comfortable these boots are and the fact that they are actually waterproof! However, I work outside, which is why I bought "workboots," and the soles of these boots are terrible for any slippery surfaces! If I walk through snow and try to cross an asphalt driveway, it is as bad as trying to walk across ice. I can only assume its because the materials used for the sole are a harder rubber than the boots I normally use. I love the fit and comfort but I don't think I will purchase them again for my job.

They’re nice boots and worked out well for me. They’re good for riding and good for walking. Choosing a size when ordering boots is always challenging. I’ve had two pairs of Ariat Heritage Ropers, size 10 1/2. They started out large, but quickly shrank to fit. So I ordered 10 1/2 Terrains. They’re great, but next time I’ll order 1/2 size smaller. I hope that’s helpful.

Bought these back I the summer. Took about 3 days to break in but I was on my feet all day. Great to do anything in, fits any stirrup, good for hiking too. Only downfall is they smell if they get wet. Not bad but enough to smell. Otherwise great boot!

These shoes are perfect!!! I purchased an 8W and they are actually true to size! They are extremely comfortable on my wide foot and are perfectnotonlyforriding,but forworking around our property aswell. Iwilldefinitely be purchasing more of these as they are needed :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable from the get go. No break-in period required. I'm on my feet all day for work, and they do not hurt my feet, and keep my feet dry. I usually wear a 9.5 in all my Ariat cowboy boots, but I wear a 9 in this boot.

I've owned several pair of Ariat Terrain boots over the years. My wife also. My recent pair though, seem a bit more stiff than usual. I've had them for over a year and condition them with our saddle soap regularly. Not sure what is up with that. Also the quality of their shoe strings has gone downhill. I have an old pair that still have the original strings and get abused in mud and wet conditions... they're still good. My new pair the strings have already frayed and broken their outer lining. On the hunt for a new set already...

I purchased these boots about 2 years ago and already the material covering the toe of the boot is coming apart. Actually, this is the second pair of boots that have had the same problem. Does your company have any kind of return policy that acknowledges this problem and would supply a pair of new boots to replace the boots with failed material performance? The rest of the boots are in great shape and could last for many more years.

My wife says these are the most comfortable boots she has ever worn. They are truly waterproof and great for barn chores. The sizing is generous and with a half size up she can easily fit her custom orthotics in these boots. She just discovered these last year and although her current boots are still going strong, she requested a new pair for Christmas so she would be ready when it's time :).

I wanted something I could ride in and walk in that would keep my feet dry as well. So far these are fantastic. I can jog or walk in comfort.

Daughter wears through boots about every three months and just loves her Ariat boots! Fit as expected, good arch support, waterproofing excellent and looks right fine as well. She loves the fit and feel as she is outside in horse stalls every day and this shoe is a must for her daily jobs with her clients. No foot pain and comfort helps move the day along great.

I have been wearing an Ariat boot of this style for probably twenty years. When one pair wears out, I go get another. I have always had brown but when i wanted a black boot to wear with black pants, I was excited to find a pair of the boots I love in black.

I have a wide forefoot with a bunion, so trying to find a comfortable shoe is difficult. It is even more difficult to find a comfortable waterproof shoe as the material often has less flexibility. I was pleased and surprised to find these boots comfortable. I typically wear a 7-7.5 wide (D) sneaker. I ended up getting these in a 6.5 wide (C). I replaced the insert with my own orthotics and there is enough room. So far they seem to keep the water out.

I have been through at least 10 pairs in the past 10 years. They are very comfortable but as noted by others, the toe wrap around doesn't last 6 months. Also, problems with the laces. I have finally decided to go to a different shoe in hopes of getting more than 6 month's wear. Currently I have 4 pairs sitting around here, but only the last purchase is still intact because I only wear them into town.

I love the boots and they are very comfortable and waterproof. They have good support and feel great on my feet. I think they run about 1/2 size large.

I am on my third pair of these exact boots over about a decade. They are amazingly comfortable, are perfect for all forms of riding, are comfortable for miles and miles of walking, and are totally waterproof. I never have had to take any special care, and I put them through a lot. I still have my previous pair as the sole was the only thing needing repairs, and I can still wear those. They fit perfectly to my sneaker size (7.5). I can wear thick and thin socks with them. Just please keep making them! Highly recommend, as do several friends who have both English and Western disciplines. They are a must for the trails we ride!

I bought my first pair two years ago to use for dog walking in winter or wet weather. They were super comfortable, and kept my feet dry. Same with my second pair, plus they have better support, stronger shoe laces and I like the styling even better. I can wear them all day with wool socks and my feet are NEVER cold.

Yesterday I could not find my hiking boots, so I wore my 3 year-old battered Ariat barn boots. We were on Mt. Rainier at high altitude across slippery snow banks and steep narrow trails of jagged rock. Mountain high adventure and danger. These boots slid less in the snow than my companion's. These boots were still comfortable when we staggered back to the trailhead exultant and exhausted. My feet did not hurt last night or when I woke up this morning - a first for a hard-core hike.

That they are not exactly waterproof, more like water resistant. They do get saturated , but they can keep dryer for longer than other brands of leather boots. They are however my most comfortable and wonderfully supportive footwear!

Perfect for working around horses. Tough, comfortable and waterproof.

Love the Terrain boots. I always buy the men's because they come in wide widths. This is my third pair; however, the last pair I had was waterproof and 3M insulated. Ariat has the Pro Waterproof, insulated and with a zipper; however, it only comes in women's sizes/B width. Would like to see the waterproof laced boot with insulation back again - great for Minnesota weather!
