I love my new team softshell jacket. To give you an idea of size, I'm 5'6 and145 lbs and bought the size Large. I can wear it with a Ariat Baselayer underneath on cold days or over a tank top on warmer days. The material stretches with your every movement. I've worn it & washed it several times and it still looks like it's brand new. This is the Iron color and it takes on a slightly lavender-tan hue under certain lighting.

I saw one of my friends wear an ariat soft-shell jacket and knew that I needed one. I have long arms that as soon as I stretched my limbs out in any of my other jackets my wrists or backed would be exposed, which was a bummer on cold mornings or when feeding (nothing like hay down the backside of your britches!) Soon as I put this on it was a perfect fit, and looks so professional! Adore it!

I like the fabric but when I washed it following the instructions on the tag, some stretchy string started coming out of the end of the sleeves. I don’t know what it is but it doesn’t go away. That was my only problem. Other than that it does it’s purpose. It runs a bit long from the back and the sleeves but that’s because of my height. For reference I bought a M and am 5 ft tall. It fits not too loose or too tight.

I’m normally a small but did size up to a medium. It fits like a glove! I recommend for your regular sizing to size up one. If you want a slightly larger fit, size up two. It is soft and comfortable. This jacket keeps me warm but not to the point I get hot.

Just received my jacket today and tried it on. I fell in love with it! This jacket is warm and soft on the inside. It will be the perfect jacket for cool fall days. I have recently lost weight and was trying to decide between a medium and a large. After reading other reviews and going by the Ariat size chart, I decided on a large. It fits perfectly. The jacket does fit a little snug so I would recommend ordering up a size.
