I own a few good pair of boots but was looking for a more casual boot to wear on a daily basis. I can't imagine a boot more suited for the job. No break in time. Goes with everything and no worries to scuff it up a bit as it already has a vintage/worn look.

The process to purchase them was painful since they had to be ordered to get my size. I bet we had to place the order 5 times on the associates hand held device. Took about 30 minutes too long to order a pair of boots. Once I received the boots, I've enjoyed the one time to wear them.

Nice looking boots that are well built. Run just a little larger than normal so might need to size down a half size for best fit. Very comfortable from day one. Nothing spectacular, just really nice everyday boots.

I got these a few days ago, but I am having a hard time breaking them in because the upper leather is stiff and hurts the bone on my ankle. I am hoping they will soften as I wear them. Otherwise I like the color, they fit good, just wish the leather wasn't so stiff.

I bought these boots first of the month and they were true to size and fit great which is rare when it's hard for me to find shoes that fit correctly. They are comfortable and one of the best decisions I have made. The low heel makes them easy to walk in, too. Hats off to you Ariat!

These boots break in real easy and have a good quality leather to them, also the sole has a very nice flex wich helps with the easy break in that you didn't even notice. These are my first pair and I assure you wont be my last. However I do have to say they do run on the narrow side, I wear a normal size width boot but luckly I read other comments regarding the sizing of these boots and they do run very narrow for sure.

loved the boot! I could not even start to put my foot in, I ordered a half size up from my nike shoe size and it felt like 2 sizes too small. It was not even close. Had to send them right back and ordered the same size in Tony Lama, those fit great. Probably just me, but I cannot wear this brand at all. Good luck to you. It had great reviews and that is why I ordered it besides it was the look I wanted. I must be the outlier.

I have worn Ariat footwear in the past and loved them. These are some tough boots. I did not want any design or big heel. so not a girly girl! The Heritage Ropers are fantastic. I will be very sad when it gets too hot to wear them in Arizona.

Have had boots about 2 weeks. Extremely comfortable. Only problem encountered is the inside seam on right boot rubs inside of ankle. Another pair of Ariat rompers does the same thing. Great as long as I remember to put band aid on ankle.

There is nothing “western” about these boots. I have owned Ariat Ropers in the past and they were a great cowboy boot with a rubber sole and a shorter shank that fit under jeans perfectly. This new design is more like a glorified pair of galoshes. Very unstylish and super wide at the top with a pronounced round toe like a combat boot. They seem well made enough, but not at all what I was expecting. Super disappointed.

Fit is very comfortable for my 11 1/2 D shoe size. Did not order a smaller size as recommended in size advise. Felt comfortable right out of the box. No break-in needed. Wasn't sure about the color. Distressed brown is darker than I expected but is ok. Boots were drop shipped from Ariat Int'l, Oakland, CA.

Had women's in black--great--wanted brown only available in men's. My size 8.5 feet fit fine in men's size 7 with room for wool socks, & got in on good sale price. Wouldn't work if you have narrow feet, though.

A nice pair of lopers: low heel, comfortable to walk in, look great with jeans and dress pants. I did buy a pair of inserts--I have a long, narrow foot. Got my correct size and the insert brings my foot up to the top of the boot.

with wear & tear & my feet being a bit broad these boots spread with my feet, eventually they let go on the broadest foot , but mind you by the time that hapens I have had the best part of 18 months wear out of them in the muck of the cow yards wet & dry.

I bought these boots based on the ratings where everyone said they were comfortable. They were INDEED; right out of the box. No break in period required. I didn't realize how short they were but that's my fault. They look great with a suit and jeans. Wore them to work the first day and my feet stayed comfy even after I got home. A must have. I may get the brown ones next. Wish I hadn't bought the cheaper ($55 brand) boots previously from Sheplers. No where near the quality and comfort as Ariat's. I'm a fan.

2nd pair of these boots, first pair excellent, work rest and play. A little on the large size so 2nd pair ordered 1 size smaller which is the same size as another pair of different make boots I have. Unfortunately, when the new boots arrived they are too small so have to find them a new home. Delivery was excellent, ordered on a Tuesday night,, delivered to the UK by Friday. As I have always found, Sheplers a great company to deal with.

Once again, Ariat makes a cowboy boot that is unlike all others. You can walk around in these without getting sore feet. This is huge for those of us who ached from wearing Justin Ropers. My only strong complaint is that the boots smelled really badly of tobacco smoke. I put mink oil on them and got rid of most of the odor. I recommend oiling them anyway as they come with kind of a powdery finish. Like my H20 boots, I use these for riding my motorcycle and they look just fine. They are so well designed that they look too narrow from the outside. They are a bit tight getting your foot past the ankle area, but loosen up after a day or two wear. I am not sure why Ariat choose to show exposed thread on the bottoms of the soles, as they appear to be glue-on soles. The threads have quickly frayed but I don't think it will cause sole separation. It doesn't look good from the bottom, but nobody is looking. For reasons above, I am leaving one star off. I don't yet know how durable they will be.

I have worn and enjoyed your boots for many years. When I saw the ad for the Heritage Roper which claimed to have a leather interior I decided that this was a boot that I could use. I placed my order and the boot was delivered promptly. When I attempted to put the boots on my feet, it was extremely difficult to get them on my feet. They were very comfortable to wear and fit my feet properly. When I attempted to remove them I was unable to do so by the normal means. I was only able to remove them by utilizing a boot jack. Upon examination of the interior of the boot I found that the underside of the vamp is covered by a textured surface which is very resistant to the smooth passage of a sock covered foot. I am very disappointed in the design of this boot and feel that I was misled by the product description

I would suggest ordering a size larger than your normal shoe size. I wear a 9 or 9 1/2 shoe and I find the 10 1/2 very comfortable even with a nice warm sock. I think the more I wear them, the more I will love them. I'm a happy camper.

I had read the reviews before making my purchase. I have bought 3 pair of Ariat boots this year. They all fit the same but as the the leather changes they SEEM to fit differently but they just require different break in times. These roper boots really softened up a lot after I scrubbed them with saddle soap and used the conditioner on them. I wear them while playing with horses in the round pen before getting on them. They are great on the ground and great to ride in.

Previously I used the standard work boot or runner style that used laces. The laces would get loose and be a safety issue. I was looking for a Roper style boot because the heel is similar and good for my work environment. Lots of walking, standing and kneeling. This boot solved all the issues. Have had them for 2 months, and were comfortable from the first time they were put on.

Boot construction seems excellent. B width still not narrow enough in heel. After serious break-in the 'loose heel fit' hopefully will resolve itself. Overall, I am pleased with the boots and would recommend them to anyone with a narrow foot.

Purchased to replace a different model of Ariats. Size was 7 1/2 EE. Length was true to size, width was too narrow. Used a boot stretcher to take out the hot spots and they now fit OK. Shaft is still stiff after several weeks of daily wear. Not a particularly comfortable boot for every day wear.

Overall a good boot for the money, stable but also very flexible. The rubber sole has good grip and I like the shape of the boot, stylish but not fancy. I ordered Wide and the boots were a little narrower than I expected but they broke in pretty well. With light-weight wool socks they are very nice for winter. The seams over the top of the foot create hotspots, which would be a problem if I were on my feet all day long but I sit or drive about half the time. The leather is of poorer quality than I expected, but considering that the boot is made in China that is not a surprise.

I love the looks, fit and feel of these boots. There was no break-in period, so to speak. I normally wear a 13W, which is what I ordered. The only problem I have is with the stitching and coarseness at the top of the boots. It chafed my shin area. I tried a fix then I saw chafing on the other leg. I will try to fix or get the problem fixed because I want to wear these regularly.

My Husband said these were the most comfortable boots he'd ever put on his feet. He never tried them on prior to opening them for Christmas! I ordered him a 1/2 size bigger than his normal shoe size and they were PERFECT! No break-in period...just ready to wear! Love,Love,Love these boots!!!

Nice, comfortable boots, but I ussually wear a 13 wide but had to get a 12 wide in these boots. Slightly narrow also, but they're stretching a little as i wear them so they're ok now. Overall, nice boots but the sizing is odd.

They are well made and very comfortable. I was concerned it may be hard to get my foot in, but there's no worries! Good quality leather and decent soles. Now I just need the black ones too.....

Found my usual width size D is too narrow in these boots. Have a hard time getting them on and even went up a 1/2 size. Hopefully they will stretch some for a better fit but as of now have a hard time wearing them. Shepler's shipping time was excellent.

These boots are just what I was hoping they would be. Fit well and good quality and a fair price. I only wish they had been made in USA. I will not wear these for work but will put some polish on them and wear them with my Wrangler Jeans. I definitely would buy them again

The Ariat Heritage Roper is definitely the most comfortable boot that I have ever worn! I highly recommend it, especially to people who are on their feet for long lengths of time. A great benefit of the Heritage Roper is the climate control footbed.

I looked for boots for our college-aged son at various stores, many of which were very pricey and poor quality. When these boots arrived from Sheplers, we were pleased to find that they were very high quality leather and fit perfectly. The fact that they were factory waterproofed means that they will be perfect for keeping feet dry in wet snow and slush. In addition to great quality, the customer service was great with accurate, quick shipping. My husband liked these boots so much after he saw them that he ordered a pair for himself. All in all, a great purchase and highly recommended.

This is the second pair of black heritage ropers I have owned. The first pair I wore to work every day for over 7 years. I wore them indoors and outdoors in rain and snow. I never really took care of them like I should have but they still lasted a pretty long time. I plan on conditioning and feeding the leather more on my second pair. I expect these to last twice as long. Great boots for the price!

This is the 2nd pair of these boots in two years that I have bought and they are fantastic. I am very hard on boots and in my work environment it takes a well built boot to last a year. There has never been a break in period on either pair of these they are comfortable the minute you put them on.....thank you!!

I needed a not very expensive winter boot. This one has a rubber sole which is good on slippery sidewalks. I am very impressed with the boot. It is very comfortable and the quality of leather is great. Good full grain leather, very tough. It will also be a summer boot too, it is a great everyday boot. It fits true to size. I normally wear a size 12 and the fit was perfect. I really have no cons for this boot. I have more than enough Luchesse boots and this pair is right there with the best of them.

Been wearingthemaround and find them to be very comfortable. The heal isnt too high like some boots which will give me a backache. Very good looking boots according to my wife.

The boots looked OK but fit was terrible. I ordered my regular size but when I put them on and wore for a while toots were rubbing my feet just below ankles so uncomfortable I had to remove. The right boot was so tight that I had great difficulty removing it (and my right foot is actually smaller than the left). The right boot felt at least a full size smaller than size stamped in boot.

Second pair of Heritage Ropers, was very impressed with the first - very little breaking in out of the box, very comfortable instantly, beautifully supple leather including foot and shaft and moulded almost perfectly to my foot. This pair is a disappointment as the shaft is much stiffer (I'd expect this from heavier work boots) and comfort is only average, I certainly wouldn't put these above any other boot and don't get any real sense of satisfaction wearing them, as I like to when wearing boots. Still breaking them in a couple of weeks of daily wear on and the seam up the shaft is right on my ankle rubbing it, given the stiffer leather. Given my first pair I would recommend them. Given this, my second pair, definitely not. Question is whether I would venture a next pair when time comes - because, either I was lucky in my first pair, or unlucky in my second pair.

These boots looks great. Simple & Clean. They take about a week to break in. They’re very stiff right out of the box. First thing I did was change the insoles with better ones to make them more comfortable, and I rubbed mink oil on them to soften them up (it will change the color to a much darker brown) which is actually what I prefer. I usually wear a 10.5 EE but these run a little big. I reccomend a half size smaller. If you’re looking for a simple inexpensive boot that gets the job done, these are a great choice. You get what you pay for. When they’re tore up, throw em away and buy another pair.

.These were my first pair of cowboy boots. I wanted just a pair of basic Ropers to start with. I chose these Ariat Ropers and chose my regular show size. Fortunately the fit was just perfect. I wear them with Thorlo Western Dress socks and they are very comfortable. I can easily be in them all day and my feet hurt not at all. I highly recommend these boots if you are looking for a boot that is nice and comfortable.

I am very happy with the ropers. After one day of wearing them all day, they were broken in. They were a little snug at first, but the leather stretched to fit my foot and now they are perfect. I was a little disapointed that the leather was not as dark as what the picture shows, but after waterproofing them and wearing them for a couple of days, they darkened up to what I wanted.

I used to wear Justin Ropers, but not anymore. Ariats are better made and much, much more comfortable, not only when standing but when walking and sitting as well. Some sort of technology in the heel makes them feel like walking on clouds. Delivered fast too.

These boots are exactly as described. Even down to the heel slippage which disappeared in 3 days. From day 1 they have been totally comfortable. I train horses and live in them all day, the most comfortable pair of boots that I have ever owned. Will definately be back to buy some more.

I spend 16 + hours a day in my boots and they need to be comfortable, and sure footed. I have worn many diffrent types of boots and the Ariat Heritage Ropers are great. I like the idea of 10" boots due to the snakes we have in central Australia. The Ariat Heritage Ropers I can wear for a pair of hard wearing work boots and then dust them off and wear them for dress boots.

Perfect fit! If you know your size (Go to a store that actually still measures feet with a "Brannock Device" This boot should fit "snug" not loose, or tight. The leather almost feels "broken in" the minute you slide your feet in! Great side pull-on loops too! I wore mine at a trade show the first day I received them.....Something you should NEVER do! But no problem whatsoever! Great fit and comfortable standing on a concrete floor all day (9-5) I'll get the same pair in brown soon! Thanks Ariat! You guys know what you're doing!

I have worn Justin boots since I was 16, and I am 27 now. My favorites were the old George Strait Ropers, well when I was ready for anotherpair, they had discontinued them.Justin ropers of todayhave such low heelsand just look kinda off to me. The Ariat Roper was just what I was looking for, they are comfy out of the box, and i'm hoping that they can stand up to all of the outdoor work and ventures that I do, just like my Justin's did.

Look good and the fit is pretty good but the seams on the tops are not flattened and covered and if I don't put moleskin on my left ankle I'd have a big blister from the very hard seam rubbing against it. Hoping I can soften it with time and some saddle oil.

This is my first pair of cowboy boots, I resisted them forever because they always looked painful to wear compared to workboots. Glad I finally took the plunge because these are now probably the most comfortable footwear I own (although I did replace the insole with the superfoot kind they sell at running shoe stores), plus they seem just as durable minus the steeltoe, which I don't really need anyway, and they don't get pebbles and twigs in them all the time.

This was probably the 3rd pair of Ariat Boots I have purchased. This pair replaced a pair of Heritage boots that lasted over 3 years. They were worn 6 days a week , 12 hrs a day, non-stop for 3 years. Not worn inside, always on cement or gravel. These boots are incredible, The sole never wore out, the leather cracked around the toe area or they would still be worn. Awesome product

The boots were instantly comfortable out of the box, and the fit was just right, nice & snug. After a few weeks now, they've conformed better to my feet and make a good pair of working boots. I can wear them casually for a length of time but couldn't wear them all day long as one of the boots (left one) may be a small bit too narrow height wise so has a tendency to scrape the skin off the top of my second toe. This is after several hours of wear & plenty of walking. Overall I really like the boots and their fit & feel and would easily recommend them. This is my first pair of Ariats. How durable or hardwearing they are I'll find out hopefully only after several months as I expect a lot out of my footwear. Would be happy with 12 months before resoling but the sole is quite thin, light and flexible so the question still remains.

Bought these boots to wear while motorcycling and general knock around wear. After a few hours of wear my feet were killing me. I replaced the insoles with Dr Scholls gel sport insoles and they're like a different pair of boots. I think Ariat should include a better insole,this is a major deficiency on a otherwise nice boot.

This is my first pair of cowboy boots, so I don't have a lot to compare them to except combat boots. The first day I wore them for a couple of hours, and besides a small blister above the heel caused by wearing thin socks, I was delighted by the fit and feel. I wore them again 3 days later, and was able to wear them comfortably for 10 hours with a lot of walking. I also wore them the following day as well... They look real cool with jeans, and I am proud to add them to my shoe collection... These may be my first boots, but I am pretty sure they won't be the last...

The boots were beautiful and fit perfect. They are easily the most comfortable ropers I have ever owned. I had ordered a pair that disappeared in transit. Sheplers returned my money after a short investigation and I ordered another pair. When they came I was SO impressed with the fit and comfort, that I ordered a third pair in a different color! I highly recommend them, especially if you have to be on your feet all day and, they look so good that I would not hesitate to wear them with a suit and tie!

I love these boots! Just started taking Western horseback riding lessons, so needed some boots which were of good quality, practical, and not overly fancy-looking. These boots fit me perfectly in the length (8 1/2 Med), but my heels were a little loose, as I have very narrow feet. Adding some thicker socks made all the difference. These boots are very comfortable, and are perfect for the horseback riding lessons!! I highly recommend them.

Could not believe how these boots feel on the feet,after buying the first pair in brown and wearing them for a while ,decided to get the other two colours and glad I did.Wear these nearly every day.The rubber sole is fantastic,no slipping in the rain overall can not fault this product.

most days especially in the cold of Boston right now. Easy to drive in durable in the snow and warm too. Have to be patient in putting them on as its a little tight but thats more to do with my feet than the boot

This is my second pair and I haven’t started wearing them yet. I’m waiting until we do the second round of vaccines on the calves. My first pair lasted twice as long than any work boot before they started breaking down. Hopefully they’ll be as good as the first pair.

These boots feel great after just a day or so wearing. Actually felt good right out of the box, just enough snugness to know I had a great fit. They look great. I got them to have some boots that I could knock around in and not have to worry about scuffing nice skin. These are made well and fit the bill perfectly. Very happy with my Ariat Heritage Ropers!

I'm 71. Grew up in West Texas. Wore boots since I was 6. Owned about 15 pair in my life, 2 were custom made. This pair is the most comfortable boot I have ever owned and wear them for everthing including church on Sunday, after shined.-) Cept in the Texas summer ! Thanks Ariat !!

True to size for my wide feet. They had that little snap when you last push into it that told me my feet were about to be well taken care of. Wore them 6 hours out of the box and only one small rub that will break in. These are fantastic boots!

I purchased and have worn these boots for about 2 weeks. I love the look and style, but the leather has been digging into the outside of one of my ankles. I’m hoping that with further breaking in it will become softer and more comfortable. I may use a conditioner or cream to soften it.

I tried to put these on and was not able to get the left boot on at all - the right went on snug and felt like it would have broke in quite easily. I do not have two right feet or am I horribly disfigured so I don't understand why the left would not go on. I have bought the cheaper Old West roper and they are good to go from day one. I would like to have been able to wear these but something just wasn't right. Both were marked as 9-1/2. Will probably just go to brick and mortar store in future.

I've been wearing ARIAT boots for over 15 yrs. and will be buried in pair I've already picked out. I'm on my 16th pair of the heritage ropers and have 6 other styles. No they do not wear out I just have a system 1st out of the box dress wear 2nd casual wear 3rd work in everyday 4th back up pair behind the seat. 5th spare at hunting club or farm 6th back to my closet just comfortable to get ret of. So Ive owned these fir about 7 yrs now.Full disclosure I only wear them in the summer to ride my motorcycle so 5 mos .They are very comfortable. These are not true biker boots as thet have no toe or steel reinforcement but they do the job

I've probably had an average of two pair per year since 2000, daily wear, and always loved 'em, 'till this pair. Something really changed - the footbed is very different and uncomfortable and the boots wider stiffer and sloppy. Size 10.5D. I tried another pair at another store and found the same issue. Obviously your Chinese manufacturer has changed. Style 10002280(35501) 4500042839

I have 2 pairs of these boots. One I have had for 2 years and have used them part of the time for work. One of those is coming apart. The other pair I have had for over 14 months, and they are still in great shape. Both are two different colors. These are good boots.
