I've tried similar devices in the past and they always fall off the window. These rubber suction cups are big enough to do the job. This hat keeper really works to keep your hat handy and safely out of harm's way. It would be a great gift for anyone who takes pride in their hat.

This rack does NOT work in a 2019 Ram Laramie. The ceiling has a "console" that runs along the middle starting from the windshield. Should've looked closer at my truck before purchasing....oops!

I bought this as it did not need mounting holes to be drilled. Suction cups hold well but still causes flat spots at the front and rear of brim of hat. i use a rolled up hand towel under it as a spacer and now its a lot better. if the wire frame was longer at the front and back you could bend it to fix the problem as well and put more curve in it.

Step one: clean glass.
Step two: clean suction cups.
Step three: undo one of the two springs at the hinge (thus reducing the spring tension by half).
Step four: stick to glass.
Mine has been stuck and supporting my hat for 72 hours straight. Expect it will continue to do so for some time. I've had the hat in and out a couple dozen times with none of the suction cup problems that others have described.
I have it stuck to the rear glass of my truck and, when in the hanger, the hat does not obstruct my view in the least.
The item is made well and does just what it's supposed to. I would highly recommend this product for those who don't want to punch extra holes in their trucks.

Suggestion: Develop the same rack but with a velcro system for cars, trucks or jeeps so it can be attached to the inner roof even with a liner.
This is what I did,,and it works and loks great.
As designed to attach to the windsheild it does block some vision.

I am a Red Hat lady planning to travel in the next year. This hat rack will help me carry at least two hats out of the way without my hat boxes, which take up lots of room. I plan to show my chapter the product soon and they will probably want to order too! The spring is a little tight for someone with arthritis, but hopefully it will loosen a little bit with use.

Hat rack has a very strong spring. I followed the directions and advise of previous reviewers and the thing keeps coming off. I have bent the wire to try to get the thing to stick to the back window of my F-150 Lariat. When I pull it down to place my hat in it, the top suction cup releases. I have some other ideas on how to make it work but I would not reccommend buying this product

No more hats rolling around the back seat! Easy to stick on window, stays in place. This is a simple gadget that really works. Before I was always trying to find a good place for my hat. The headrest keeps you from wearing it when driving. Problem solved!

My search continues for a hat rack that actually works. No matter what you do, unless you glue this one to your window it will pop off as soon as you put your hat in it.

i tried this product mounted on the back window of my ford ranger regular cab as well as the windshield, the only issue with it is when mounted to the windshield, you cant use the sun visors, but it isnt because of the rack, the truck is just too small, it would be fine for a full size

I ordered this before Xmas for myself. Sheplers processed and shipped the order promptly as communicated, so I have no issues with their customer service. I have two issues with this hat rack and unfortunately will have to return it.
1. I wear a size 8 hat, so the form of the hat rack is not large enough to accommodate my hat size. Perhaps I could bend the wire out, but problem 2 precludes the value of doing so. It may still mare the crown and/or the hat band given the high pressure of the spring. More often than not, manufacturers do not consider large hat sizes in their design of companion products such as this rack or rain covers, etc.
2. The spring is SO stiff that I'm concerned about it deforming the hat brim, and pressing a dent into the headliner of my SUV. Here again, I could potentially bend the flange to ease the pressure of the spring, but I shouldn't have to rework the item to make it acceptable.
Nice idea, but poor engineering / execution

Easy to install, strong enough to hold two hats. Had it less than a week, will be interested to see if the suction cups hold it to the window for long periods of time. So far I'm plased with how it works. Gary

Have had one if these for 3 years & it keep hat out of way & keeps hat in good shape. Some reviewers have trouble with it sticking to window. I wet suction cups before installing & have had it to hold for 3 mo in back window of my f250 truck.am very pleased with it.am going to buy my son-in-law one for his birthday.
