Some of the best boots i have ever bought! Very comfortable from the first wear

This boots are the best boots my husband has, bought second pair after first ones keep on going!

Rocky seems to have some quality control issues. This pair has a bulge/seam right on the ankle bone that makes my right foot so sore I can't walk without limping. I thought I could outlast it and my foot would toughen up as the boot broke in, but that isn't happening. I think they make a good boot, but by all means try them on in a store before you buy. And not the display model, but the pair you will purchase. If they feel good after 20 min., buy it, but if not PASS. I have had a little better luck with the insulated boot.

I've had these boots for a year now. They have survived many hunting, scouting/hiking, and rough farm work. I love them. I've owned every style of combat boot since nam jungle boots plus a number of hiking, work, and hunting boots. These are the lightest and most comfortable boots I have ever owned.

Very happy good boots soles are green thought they were black but pictures don’t always look the same.

I've only had these boots for a week, so my perceptions of them are limited. These boots are well made and seem extremely durable! They are taking a little more time to break in but I believe it's due to the fact that these are a true work boot and I'm so used to wearing the Rocky CT4 PT boot! So far these boots have held up to anything I have put them through and even though I work in a very hot climate (and we have to wear black boots) the boots don't get overly hot! If you're looking for a boot that needs to be rugged, look no further.

I bought a pair of these while in Afghanistan and used them for 8 months there then used them for work, hunting, hiking etc until I finally blew out the inside of the boot. Took 5 years of tough wear. Yes the soles did wear down but like I said, I beat on them pretty good. Most comfortable boots I have ever owned and am buying a new pair since I just became a Police Officer.

The boots are tight around the ankle so there is a break in time!

When I first took my boots out the box I knew I had bought a high quality work boot. I chose a military boot as a work boot because I knew that if they are good for our military men and women then surely they would be good for me as a work. Boots are very well crafted also!!!!

I got 2 years plus out of my last pair of these boots. Now I have this new pair. The seams around the soles is better glued than last time. Don't buy Danners, buy these instead! Breathe well and great ankle support.

This is the second pair of S2Vs I've purchased. I wear them for everyday kicking around and foot comfort. I also like the funny looks I get occasionally from younger veterans.

I bought for those occasions you need a boot. I have worn for over a week daily to work as a Registered Nurse and the are so comfortable. I wish I had these back in 1986 when I was in 82nd Airborne. Thank you for an awesome boot!

They are comfortable boots, however, there is a seam where the heel cup is that causes blisters. I’m not sure why Rocky chose to do this, but I have to wear moleskin in order to prevent the blisters. I’ve tried various tying styles (loose, tight) and I still get blisters.

This is my second pair of Rocky boots and they are very good. Long wearing, good arch support and very comfortable. I wear a large size and have difficulty getting good boots and shoes. Thank you for having large sizes.

I purchased this boot a month ago and decided to give them some time to break in before reviewing them. The boot fits good and runs true to size, mine was a little tight so I used some mink oil on them and they have loosened up a little. They are very comfortable which I appreciate as I'm on my feet 12 hours a day on concrete. I only have three issues with the boot. One the laces seam thin and cheep but overall that is an easy fix. Secondly they are pretty slippery when on wet concrete but not very many boots grip well under that condition. Third is the cost but if they last who cares. Overall the boot is a very nice boot with little to no changes needed, time will tell if they hold up longer that the boots I have had in the past.

I own 7 pairs and will never buy any other boots “Period” For comfort, craftsmanship and price there’s no rival. I know something about boots, been buying them for 50 years!

I loved the way the rockies felt. I felt comfortable and that I had a lot of support while training in uneven ground. However, the boots did not last. I did a 10-week course and they are tearing apart in the toes.

My dog chewed up my hubby's boots for the guard and I ordered him a new pair and they were perfect. The boots came fast too! Will definitely order again!

Purchased boots May 2014. Wear them every day at work in an automotive garage and everywhere else. These were an average boot. The laces broke 4 months in. Most of the tread had worn off in 6 months and now the heal is worn though to the inside layer a year in. They have excellent traction on any dry surface. They aren’t bad on wet asphalt. But if you transition from wet asphalt to anything else like concrete or tile you will immediately lose your footing. You will never maintain your footing walking on wet rocks. These are marketed as a military boot so the quick sole wear may be attributed to the oil environment they were sometimes subjected to. However the total lack of wet traction should rule these out for anything but desert military.

I bought these in June, but the sole started to crumble. At first I thought nothing of it, but by October it got so bad I had to return them. Completely fine otherwise though. Outstanding.

I've had multiple pairs of S2Vs and issued many more in our unit. They repeatedly have problems with eyelets coming loose, or more commonly, the crimping under the eyelet splits and then it starts cutting boot laces. One pair of boots cut four different laces before I quit wearing them and bought another brand.

I bought these based on recommendations from lots of people. I love them and they are almost too comfortable! The only issue I have with them is they are very wide and I have rather narrow feet. There isn't as much sole under my feet as with other boots and it takes some getting used to, but I actually like it. The speed laces make putting them on rather simple and they are very snug around the upper ankle. I would DEFINITELY recommend trying on a pair before ordering online. The sizing is much different than Bates, Wellco, or Altama.

Just finished over 200 mi of mountain trail backpacking with them. Felt great right out of the box. Exposed to everything from alpine scrambles and bouldering to slogging swamps. Excellent support, traction, wet weight and foot comfort. Only negative is arch protection against sharp sticks and rocks could be improved. Lived in them 12 to 16 hrs a day. Made me a believer in walk dry vs "waterproof" for temperate conditions.

I attend the Best Ranger Competition in Ft. Benning every year. I won a pair of Rocky's Boots at the Ice Breaker. At my age over 65 I won't use them in combat anymore, but they have been fantastic on my almost daily, one hour" marches" on Siesta Beach in Florida. Outstanding, ankle secure, comfort.
