I wore these boots through two patrolling cycles in the Sapper Leader Course during the winter. We had several nights below 20 degrees, sometimes while we were stationary in the prone position for several hours. With good merino wool socks (Darn Tough) and foot powder, my feet stayed completely warm and dry with these boots, even after getting my feet sweaty from movements/missions. No one else had these boots and no one else was comfortable (some used insulation liners and some had 200g Thinsulate boots from other companies). These boots fit true to size and did not cause any hot spots or blisters straight out of the box. Due to the insulation and materials, these are very heavy boots, but I did not notice any issues from the additional weight.

I am now ordering my 4th pair of these boots. These typically last about 2-2.5 years before I have to break out the new ones. And the only reason I change them is because I wear the bottoms off on the outside edge and will start to affect my back.
I have Rheumatoid arthritis and these have been a godsend, for the fact of them being so comfortable, lightweight and durable. I just opened my 3rd pair this morning that was purchased a couple of years ago. I am in the construction field, specifically roofing and these hold up to everything and anything that you can imagine. Cant even think of wearing a different boot, this is why I will order now, my 4th pair and let them set in the closet until I need them (I dont want to take a chance of them being available when I need them).

I needed new boots so I decided to get the same kind as my husband because he loves his. I called because I couldn’t put the order though (can’t ship if the shipping and billing addresses are different etc), and the ladies on the other end had my many problems solved in under 10 minutes. The boots came fast and I took a couple days to break them in (the insulation has to break to your foot shape to fit comfortably) and they’re now my go to for anything outside.
Super warm and comfortable, definitely happy with them.

I had a pair of tan waterproof S2Vs that kept my feet warm and dry for several years. They were comfortable and durable; well worth the money, however, I bought a new coyote brown pair when they Army went to Multi-cam. The coyote S2Vs waterproofing didn’t hold up as long as the older tan pair. That left me disappointed in the boot, especially with its high cost.

Just took delivery, after a huge amount of (wasted) time checking on the fit. I noticed on a site that showed a box of these boots that the size 7US was a size 6 UK. I am from the UK and buy a 6 1/2 (usually). After checking the size chart and confirming that the size chart was right and that a 7 would indeed be a 6 1/2 UK I went with the 7. Turns out the box is also a size 6 UK, so a half size too small. I have taken the insole out and replaced it with one from a running shoe and now it fits perfectly. I am still not sure if I sent them back whether I should get the 1/2 size bigger or same size but in a wide fitting. With the liner they fit tight, not short. I am going to rate it as fitting slightly small, not really knowing if I need the aforementioned sizing to make them perfect.

I got these boots not knowing what to expect as it had been years since I've worn a pair of Rocky's. First of all, they fit true to size and were very comfortable right out of the box. The only issue I had was that one of the insoles had not been properly seated in the boot and there was a very noticeable crease in it which was uncomfortable for the first few wears.
I work Law Enforcement on the island of Hawaii and I've worn these boots above the 6000 foot level on Mauna Kea, in Tropical Rainforest Environments, and at sea level near the ocean. The real test I put them through was a 7-hour, 12-mile hike over a lava field to an active flow. Not many boots can stand up to lava, but the Rocky's were great. I went from extreme heat to extreme wind/rain, no issues with slippage due the wet ground or loose rocks. The Vibram soles were outstanding. Great boots! 2-thumbs up Rocky!

I’m currently serving in the US Army and was recommended these boots by some of my co workers. I bought these boots a month ago and they just came in the mail because the first pair apparently got lost. It was a hassle to even get rocky to send a new pair but I was even more disappointed when I received the new pair they sent, it has some obvious material malfunctions.

I bought these particular S2V's with GT waaaay back in 2012 after arriving in Afghanistan as a contractor. I wore them 3 straight years in that country from the desert in the south, to the mountains in the north. With regular rotation of course throughout. Now I wear them hunting and riding atv's in the swamps of central Florida. Till this day I've not had one issue with these boots. Comfort has gotten better over the years actually, and the Vibram sole is somewhat worn, but not beyond the expected wear of almost 7 hard years of use. Until their quality starts to deplete like it seems most manufacturers of all stripes have deemed it a brilliant business decision, I will buy nothing but Rocky boots.

I bought these boots about a month ago and they are the best winter work boots I’ve ever owned. Working as an electrician on solar projects (roofs and ground mounts) throughout the winter, I need boots that are warm and easy to move in. These boots are perfect.

The single stitch design to attach the sole is common point of failure. Additionally the lip above the stitch begins to detach from the boot fairly fast. You will see a gap between the sole and the boot leather that allows debris and water to get in. The boots are comfortable out of the box, but the quality inferior for a Berry compliant boot.

Comfortable and supportive. And anti-ankle roll device for walking on rough terrain. Very good high quality boots, made in the U.S.A. Waterproof and insulated. The lacing hooks do not break when I pull the laces tight. A good design all around.

I bought a pair of these boots last year to keep my feet warm and dry working outdoors full time in Michigan winter. With winter rapidly approaching this year along with the cold fall we have had so far, I decided to dig them out of my closet. Putting them on for the first time this season reminded me of how comfortable and warm they are. I also wear a US size 15 shoe and was happy to find the boot size 14R accommodate my large feet perfectly. I am extremely happy with my boot purchase and will be looking for another pair once mine are at the end of their service life.

I wear a 12 - 12.5 wide in all my boots / shoes and these boots are a minimum of 1.5-2 sizes too small. And they were in no way "wides." I ordered these (the other) 400 g insulated S2V in a 13 wide too give Rocky one more try and they were still too snug for comfort and even more uncomfortable overall. I think the insoles are oversized to compensate for the poor construction in the footbed of the boot. Especially, toward the front, where you can feel pronounced ridges in the footbed. Overall, an extremely uncomfortable boot with an incredibly overpadded tongue. A well padded tongue can be a good thing but, for these it doesn't allow for a comfortable wrap around the lower shin. Instead, its doubled up on both size and too bulky to cinch the boot as tight as they need to be to fit about the ankle for necessary support and still be tolerable. Honestly, I am not sure what all the hype is about these "Military" / Berry compliant monstrosities; they were NOT well thought out when designed nor likley were they ever tested. Not sure about their military application other than their color; and maybe the fact they are "visually" approved for military dress. I was an avid athlete and hunter my entire life, and I would not wear these! The price really is a non-issue. Like most of you, I will spend more to get better, but folks, I just don't see it. I have a twenty plus year old pair of Rocky Bearclaws and they are still phenomenal in their quality and overall design, unlike these.

I received these boots and was impressed with the appearance and workmanship of the product. The fit was great and although winter is almost over, living in the northern regions of New England, the insulation factor of these boots will be welcome since we experience some extreme low temps at times.

I have been eyeing these boots for 2 years since they were recommended by an NCO. They are the only AR 670-1 Compliant boots that I am aware of that are properly insulated for cold weather operations. The price appears excessive, but your feet will thank you.
I used these on a 3 day FTX in December with temperatures down into the 20s. My feet never got cold regardless of the level of activity. I even wore summer socks 2 of 3 days without issue. Usually, my feet are always cold but this time they were the only thing that was warm. Unlike most insulated boots, they keep the same level of insulation on top of the toe. This makes for a real snug fit and keeps the heat from being sucked out of your otherwise warm feet.
The boots are comfy. Like wearing slippers. In fact, if they cut these boots down into indoor/outdoor slippers I would buy them. Recommend you go a half size up becauseofthetoe profile. The one issue I found was with the heal piece. When you have to side hill or even just walking on uneven ground, the lateral or outer side of the heel will jab the outer knob of your ankle. Over time, this will strip the skin from you. The boots have plenty of ankle support and this issue could easily be solved by cutting the outer ankle leather lower to adapt to the foot's natural contours. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

I bought them nearly a year ago and have been using them ever since. Incredibly durable, these boots have survived multiple field training exercises in every kind of weather imaginable. They do get hot in summer, but by the time I notice them getting warm I have other issues.
I have waded with these on, and water only gets inside if it tops the boot.

I was looking for a new pair of boots for hunting. After some shopping around I figured the S2V to be my best choice for the unforgiving southern Arizona terrain. At first glance they do not look like combat boots. I wanted something tough enough to handle the worst situation. We don't climb into treestands along side a cornfield here. Steep, rough, and full of cactus. I chose the insulated version rather than the standard, since there is no water to walk through and I prefer no drain or vents, the insulated version will keep out the stickers. They have good ankle support and I love the quick lace feature. I do wish the sole wrapped up and around more, but other than that I have no complaints. They do require some breaking in to stop the squeaking.

These are my third pair of S2V’s over many years. My previous two are the standard ones with no insulation and I wear a 7.5 in them and they fit perfectly. Decided on getting an insulated pair for the upcoming winter and when I got them and put them on, they’re extremely tight due to the 400 grams of thinsulate. Seems Rocky hasn’t considered the extra volume the insulation takes up inside the boot when sizing them. I’m going to have to replace the thick insoles they came with with something thinner in order to give my feet room. Definitely go a half size larger than your normal S2V’s.

I would highly encourage anyone who is considering this boot to try them on before you purchase. The sizing is a little off and their propriety insert is very thick. Haven’t had a problem with it falling apart yet though.
