I've owned these for about 2 years now, my 6th or 7th pair of Rockys. They look great and meet (most of) the NFPA safety requirements for station boots. However, the waterproofing is too much. They don't breathe at all. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I'm a firefighter and I have to change my socks halfway through a 12 hour shift, and if I work a 24 then god help me. I got the S2V in black (and added a lace-in zipper) and they're a little better, but not much. I just wish I could wear the style I wore in the Army. Then I'd be happy. Please Rocky, I beg you, make a breathable boot with a steel toe and zipper.

I bought my first boot from Alpha force a year and a half ago. I loved it. I work in security and the shoe gives excellent support and comfort. I had a four hundred pound man standing on my foot did not feel a thing the shoe is a beast.

This is approximately my 10th pair of Alphaforce boots. Usually they hold up well and are very comfortable. This time I am surprisingly dissatisfied. I have been wearing them for 2 weeks and the soles are already starting to separate from the boot. I usually get around 6 months of hard work out of them regardless of the weather. That won't happen this time.

This is the 4th pair I've owned! (This is the first with the composite safety toe.) They have all been very comfortable, and the zipper side makes them a real time saver at the airport! Even my son has bought a pair!

got these about a month ago.good fit ,lightweight good all around.

They fit great, snug and very comfortable inside. The zippers are the greatest feature for me. I dislike tying shoes/boots. Thanks Rocky Boots, for a product that actually works as it should.

Been wearing Rockies for several years, recommend them to everyone and never disappointed. Never really cared for taller boots but bad ankles forced me into them. Now this is all I ever wear for work.

I have worn these boots for a month and have no complaints.. very comfortable and on my feet in a physical plant on concrete floors all day long. The Uppers took a little breaking in against my shins. after a week of adding some extra wrap around the shin the boots are extremely comfortable for 8-10 hour work day. Thanks Rocky for a great Product.

These are not a precise match of the duty boots I bought but they are very close - I have to assume the one I bought have been discontinued ( I got them about four years ago). The ones I bought are black leather side zipper "Rocky Waterproof" duty boots. My biggest complaints - terrible foot traction in rain or snow. Very slick! Internal lining of both boots have torn above the heel. I wear them when riding my motorcycle, and the leather uppers have absolutely gotten beat to heck - they are covered in nicks and cuts. Weird thing - the laces come untied too easily for my taste. Positives - Rocky Waterproofing is no joke. I've been caught in hellacious rain on the bike several times and my feet are the only dry part of my body. The side zip is very convenient. Overall, I love Rocky Boots; my two other pairs have lasted a combined 15+ years of intense abuse and testing - which makes this pair that much more disappointing.

This is my go to boot. Comfortable, durable, sturdy ,waterproof lightweight. True to size w regular socks.nice in summer.in dead of winter for my THICK socks,I go 1/2 size up.long lasting tread and composite toe doesn't dig.the inside heel doesn't disintegrate and no heel slide.I cinch these boys up like hockey skates with the knowledge of a sure step.

I had very high expectations, but the leather is already pulling away from the bottom. Very disappointed to pay so much for a pair of boots that only lasted a month or a little longer.

I’ve owned these boots for a month, and they’ve offered great value for my money. They are very comfortable, and it took me less than a week to break them in (wearing them 10 hours a day). In contrast to some of the reviews I’ve read, I’ve had no issues with size—my boots are true to their size. They’re not smaller or narrower than what they’re supposed to be, even with the composite toes. I’m impressed with the comfort, protection, and support these boots provide. I tested their waterproof feature by stepping in a puddle six inches deep and standing in it for about 20 minutes. I inspected them afterwards and found no hint of moisture inside the boots. The only thing that has kept me from giving these boots a perfect rating is the loose fit of the snaps on the leather that covers the zippers. They unsnap after walking just a few steps. It’s a minor flaw, in my opinion. But since I’ve read about it in other reviews, I suppose it’s not an uncommon quality control issue. However, this issue won’t prevent me from recommending these boots to my friends and colleagues.

Been wearing composite (steal toe) boots for over 20 years. I wont buy any other kind.

I’ve been buying this product for years, it is a great product with one exception, the sole will come loose after about a year after use. I then have to either glue them back on or make another purchase. Other than that, I love these!

This is my second pair of these boots and I love them. I will never order any other brand. Comfortable and last forever. Working on an ambulance they see and go through a lot, they're durable and tough.

My first pair of Rocky boots. Exactly what I wanted and as advertised. Great boots, especially to keep your feet dry. Wore them all day in 75 degree dry conditions and feet didn't get sweaty or overheated with the waterproofing. Company service was outstanding. First I ordered the wrong size. Return process was simple, fast and unquestioned to get the correct size. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Only small complaint would be the snap covers over the top of the zipper could be a little more sturdy.

I got these boot cuz I used to have them that were like armor loved them I just got a pair just 3/15/17 it's now 3/30/17 an my right inside sole just pulled completely free from the upper of my but I get that I walk alot for my job I'm a locomotive switchmen in a rail head but this is nuts never had a boot fall apart in side of 2 week this is bull will be calling an getting my money back very dissatisfied never buying rockys agin

I purchased the boots and received them. When I tried them on one of the laces separated. I called customer service to see if they would just mail me a replacement pair of laces, but they would not, I could return the entire pair of boots tat would be much more in shipping than just purchase a new pair of laces. Customer service is not what I would think is up to PAR.

I bought these boots a couple of weeks ago and they are comfortable boots! I mostly use them when riding my Harley Davidson! I love Rocky boots!!!

I am a correctional officer in Wisconsin who is constantly on his feet and have had a pair of these boots for a little over 1.5 year and they are just now getting somewhat wore out (but should last another 6 months to a year) so I am ordering my second pair before they decide to discontinue them for some odd reason. These boots are very comfortable for even 16 hour shifts, are warm with a decent pair of socks (even outside all day in the 'lovely' Wisconsin winters), are actually waterproof as they claim (I can stomp through puddles and snow all day and my feet stay dry), and they take a nice shine and look great all around. I highly recommend these boots.

Bought the boots this month. They are the third pair. They are as good if not better since you added the zipper velcro strap instead of the snap cover. They feel as if they had been broken in by someone. They are the best.

Construction appeared to be ok. Had to return due to the tight fit . I've never been a WIDE shoe wearer. Hopefully my next purchase will be a better fit.

I really like this boot except it does not offer composite toe for women’s boots. I love the zip idea. I wish it was offered in the boots I ordered.

These boots feel very comfortable and very sturdy. It feels very stable and I will try them out to see how they stretch and how long will will it last. Even though i ordered them 10 W, they feel a little snug when i wear them. I hope they stretch in a couple of months.

u want theses work boots, true sizing in length & width, well constructed, great for individuals with medical or sore feet issues. They hold a military shine.Extremely durable. Well constructed. I have to stand a lot & theses boots provide an immeasurable amount of comfort. The pain that I used to have in my feet has all but diminished.

This my third pair of these boots. Very comfortable and no break in period. I recommended them to a coworker and he loves them too. Ordering was super easy and fast.
