It is a great quality hat for the price. I am a fan of crushable hats. I own a Stetson and a Black Creek hat, and I probably never would have bought this one for myself. But my wife got it for me as a gift, and it is my favorite now. the size is a bit bigger than with other brands so be aware of that. if you where a large in others the large for outback trade co is a bit bigger. However a simple piece of cloth rolled on the inside lip of the hat and its a snugg fit.

The provided size chart and size match options were wrong. I had to return for the next size down, which fit decently. With a name like Outback Trading Co. I thought this was Australian but is actually a New Zealand company. Which is fine. Made with real Australian wool in China. Which is a letdown but explains the more affordable price. It also explains why the front pinch is not centered and the front brim is cut slightly off in one spot. Up close the hat band looks medium quality. Only if you get really close. The scroll details are very nice. The leather sweat band is really nice with breather holes. There's a very soft gold satin Lycra like material inner lining. So technically the tag is incorrect stating it's 100% wool. All in all, it's a nice hat. The quality seems about right for the price I paid. All I could reasonably ask for are correct sizing correlations and the pinch to be more on center.

Not happy with this hat. The fit is not accurate and the quality is not as good as the others I am keeping. I am a 7/71/8 hat which was suppose to be the medium. Seems to run very large. I really wanted a hat with a fancy headband as well as durable for all conditions. I am disappointed with the quality.

Bought this about a month ago and it is every thing I expected. Great fit and comfortable. Also a good price. I wear it every day.
