This is a boot that required no break-in time. I wear them everyday and have received a number of compliments on their good looks. i have ordered from Shepler's several times and will continue to do so.

I bought wide version of boot and I would have to say I am happy with my purchase, The boots look good and are very comfortable.For the price what a value! I will definitely purchase again .

Foot measurements might help others in deciding what size might be right. Ordering shoes online is difficult at best, but if all boot reviews included a person's foot length and width measurements along with boot size ordered, can greatly help all in deciding on size of boot to order. Stepping on a ruler, my foot measures with a sock on: length: 10 1/4 inches at the longest part. Width: 4 1/8 inches at the widest part near the ball of the foot. I ordered Size: 09 D of this black zip up boot. The length feels fine. The width at the ball of the foot is a little bit tight even after wearing them for a couple of weeks. If I had tried them on prior to purchase, I would have gone with a wider boot than the "D". In addition this boot has a marking sole. I tend to walk carefully in the supermarket so I don't scuff their floor all over the place. A non-marking sole would make this boot even better.

Even though they are cheap they are comfortable and great. Highly recommend

Was disappointed that boots don't come in single "E" width. Am a size 11, & also tried 10.5 EW which didn't fit right. 11 EW is wider than I'm used to wearing. Need to wear thicker socks to feel more comfortable. Also, had to return first pair ordered since interior lining in right boot began to separate and bunch up and irritated my foot after only the first wearing. Left boot seemed to be fine.

I loved the look but , the sole on right boot was had what looked like it had been hit by a grinder. ( waiting for replacement.)

These boots are a good value for the money. They fit true to size and width and are very comfortable to wear. I wear these boots with Dockers, jeans, and dress pants. I currently own them in Black, Dark Cherry, and have just placed my order for the Distressed.finish. A very satisfied customer for over 20 years

I was looking for a pair of boots that I could replace my black dress shoes with. These were perfect. Fit great, light wear, solid heel, and they polish to a nice glow.

I wouldn't normally buy shoes without trying them on but after reading several reviews, I bought them. Not only are the boots great looking; they fit perfectly. So much so I bought a second pair.

These boots are excellent. They were a bit tight at first but wore in nicely after a few days and now they are really comfortable. I wear them to work 5 days a week (office job) and they look great with business wear. I got these to replace a higher priced brand of zipper boots on which one of the zips was starting to wear out and fall down about a quarter of the way. The Old West boots have a sturdier zipper, but then I don't know if the other brand have changed their style since I bought them a few years ago. I also prefer the quieter rubber sole on the Old West boots - my old boots had a hard and slippery sole. I had a rubber heel and nonslip toe added, but no need to do that with the Old West boots. A previous review also said these boots have a marking sole, but I've found I have to deliberately scuff the floor pretty hard to leave a mark. In terms of sizing, since these boots were a little tight at first perhaps they run slightly small (narrow# but I'd be hesitant to say you should buy a half size up. #I always wear thick socks too#. I also have some normal western boots in the same size #10EE) that fit perfectly from day one. My old zipper boots are the same size and always had excessive heel slippage and I had to use an insole to improve the fit. Maybe they just ran a little large. Bottom line... I think these boots are superior to my other higher priced zipper boots and so they are excellent value for money. Time will tell how hard wearing they are but they appear to be well made so I expect they will last. Plus Sheplers service was brilliant, and it only took 6 days for my boots to make it here to Australia.

Boot are great no break in needed outstand and seem to be built tough.

For the price I paid on this boots this shoes are worth it. It has good looks and is comfortable to wear. My wife even like it.

Being a first time boot buyer the comfort level will have to be noted later. THey feel and look great; very pleased with the purchase.

Great boot for the price. I wanted something to wear to music jams where it can be quite warm. So ankle height was fine. I wore them around the house for two days and was surprised they didn't requie breaking in.

Really nice boots, fit well and walking in them is great. It would be nice if they were leather. But they do look very nice.

I have to say that these boots are pretty darn nice for the $$$. I like the color, the rubber soles add enough traction compared to leather soles. They are nice for when you want to dress up at night but don't want a full length boot on.

These were living up to all expectations unfortunately after only 7 days the heel fell off. Not repairable as it came away quarter of the way down the heel. ??? Not worth while sending back as postage is too prohibitive to USA from NZ. ( already paid the cost of boot higher postage then customs and duties so overall pretty expensive. :) wouldn't have minded if they lasted. Very sad and let down.

I received the boots on time and when I tried them on they were a little tight, but after walking around the house for about thirty minutes in them they started not to feel so tight, they had loosen and fit great. I have always wore boots every since high school, but wore the boot that was not pointed toe, been wearing boots for over 40 years, so I decided to try a pointed toe boot and I found Sheplers online, seem like a good place so I ordered the boots. These boots has a design on the toes of the boot and I like that and pointed toes made them look a lot better than a reguler boot. I am now enjoying these boots and will order from them again in the future.

These boots are light and comfortable. I feel like I´m wearing my sneakers. Great value for the money. Highly recommended.
