I'm going to be using the boots on a week-long riding trek in Wyoming. Good value for the use. I REALLY would prefer a lace-up boot, but the ones I tried had a sewn-down tongue, making it too difficult to get a high-arched foot in.

I got the boots in black. They will be great with the black suit I ordered. They were too narrow. I ordered a D width and had to exchange for a EE width.

Have worn Justin Ropers for years, have finally worn out my tan pair after 15 years of hard wear (hence this purchase). I find them equally comfortable in the paddock and on the concrete in the city. For general wear I wouldn't wear anything else.

I went with the Black/cherry color on these boots and they are really nice/Dressy you could say. A Very Dark Brown I suppose could be used to describe the color of these boots. I only have two pair of boots, both roper style boots but by different brands. These new ones are Justin and my other boots are made by ARIAT. Both are the same size ( 9D ) however the Justin pair seem to be a little bigger/length, not quiet as snug, Long story short, The ARIAT pair fits just right and I would suggest that if you normally wear a 9D, you may want to consider a 81/2 on these. I must admit when it comes to boots & hats, you really need to try them on first because different brands of each may not always fit in the same size.

Justin needs to start making boots the way they use to, in the USA. Get back to using quality materials, not cheap substitutes.

When I received these particular boots, they were too narrow, so I returned and in turn ordered two (2) pair with a different width and they fit perfectly. [...] Great company to do business with and I will surely do business with them again.

Justin Classic Roper Boots

I've worn cowboy boots, work boots and I believe these Justin ropers are as confortable as any I've ever worn. I bought them mainly for dress, and really don't wear them every day, but I trully would recommend them to anyone. My Dad wore them when he was working in Mexico, South Texas and Southen New Mexico. Plainly speaking,
these are good boots for any kind of activity.

Thirty years ago, I couldn't conceive of wearing ropers; real boots had pegs and shanks and heels. Now, on the far side of 60, with cranky feet, ropers make life easy. Justin has done a nice job with these: true fit, no break-in required and handsome. A few months will establish the longer-term quality of the materials and construction, but they're looking and feeling good from the start. Excellent value.

I bought a pair of Justin Classic Ropers because I was looking for a pair of boots with a wide shallow heel that would be comfortable, and stable for walking. I have worn other western boots, but these are going to be my favourites I think. Delivery took less than a week, which surprised me because I live in Canada and usually things from the US take a lot longer, especially going through customs.

These are comfortable great fitting boots but they are brown, not tan. That is fine with me but you should know they are darker than shown in the photo.

Decent value for the money. I wish the leather was a bit thicker, especially in the front section. After wearing the boots for only a few times, it looks creased and stretched.
Also, I wish the color was like the pictures. is was darker are a different hue.

These boots seem quite good quality although they do not have all the features , such as under sole pegs, as recommended by some reviewers.

Justins dress ropers make for the perfect dress/office shoes in my opinion. The walking heel and round toe is practical. The boot is comfortable and fits true to size. A few better looking ones are out there if you search hard and long enough, but at triple the price.
Sheplers was fairly priced and with excellent service.

I have a couple of pair of Justin USA made Ropers I got last year and this pair that is Mexican made are about a half inch longer. All of them have 10.5D printed on them. I also recently bought a pair of Justin pointed toe black calf western boots to replace a pair I have had for about 15 years. This new pair was also Mexican made and are about half an inch longer than my old US made pair. [...]
