These boots look good, and were comfortable from day one, no breaking-in needed. Good value, great for casual wear, but fine for work as well. Sizing advice was good, needed 1/2 size smaller.

Recently switched disciplines, and am so glad I bought these boots to show in! Super simple, affordable, and really easy to keep clean! Have already used them for several shows this year, and have no complaints about the size or fit. Definitely recommend if looking for a comfortable, budget friendly boot to ride in.

Love these boots. Have other ropers, but Justin are my favorite. Order 1/2 size smaller then your normal work boots though. Long lasting soles. Takes about 3 days to break in.

Shopping online was easy, and I received my boots quickly, but they didn’t even come close to fitting me, not sure why because I ordered the same size that I always wear in my Justin boots, but I couldn’t get this pair on, I checked and they said they are a 10 1/2EE.

It says "genuine leather" in the description, but the whole boot (minus the outsole) looks and feels almost like plastic. Also I would recommend going up at least 1 size when ordering...

The boots look great, and the non-slip sole is something more than I thought I would get with the Basics. I ordered them on-line, and they fit exactly like every other pair of Justins I own. They are stiff now, but I am sure they will break in like the others and become a very comfortable boot. And the price is perfect.

The tops were really tight to put the boots on. Needed to get light weight socks to help me get a high arch through the top. Bought this boot for every day and now have rub rings around my legs from the stiff tops but that will go away I hope. I am 82 yrs. so may have trouble wearing the boot out.

These are great basic boot. Although I ordered a half size smaller they still fit slightly big and slightly wide. Over all they are pretty comfortable and are a great value.

I wore my last pair of Justin boots for over 10 years. They began to split after wearing them through a particularly wet and muddy winter. Although the model I had was discontinued, I was really happy to find this newer almost identical model. The price was amazing. They took no time to break in. I have preferred the round toe Wellington style since I was a teenager.

A basic boot.....just as home in the field as on the town. Was looking for a work boot without having to spend a lot. Justin Basics fits the bill...pun intended...website says to order 1/2 size smaller than usual...did that...had to exchange for my regular size...just like my Justin Ostrich boots. In the end, all is well...happy with my new old friends...ready to work!!!!!

The good news is it's a very comfortable boot and it worked well for working with my horses and just wearing around on a daily basis. The bad news is my last pair lasted only 10 months of daily use and then they ripped above the heel. I really like the George Straight model Justin Ropers a lot better but they scuff really easy ... in fact, way too easy and I'll be damned if I'm gonna wear a $185 boot to pick up after the horses!

These boots are reasonably priced, they fit true to size, and most importantly they are comfortable. I have owned these for about a year now and have worn them day after day and they are just now showing signs of wear. These are high quality and I really have no complaints with them.

I bought two pairs of the Justin Boots. One in brown and one in Black. The brown fit perfectly. The black were very loose. With a $10 fee for return and the fact that I paid $75 per pair, I decided that it was not worth a return to Sheplers.

My son LOVES these boots! He is very picky about shoes and complains that most shoes are not comfortable. But he would probably sleep in these boots if we let him, but we do make him take them off before bed. Other than that, he pretty much lives in them. He wears them around home, goes for long hikes in the country (which would normally require light hiking boots), and does farm work in them. I will definitely get him another pair of these when he grows out of them!

I have ordered serveral pairs of boots from Sheplars' over the years and never once have I been dissatisfied in any way. The fit and feel were great right out of the box. I am a big proponant of getting the best deal for the buck so I buy the $50. to $100. range of western boots. However this pair of Justin Basics is the worst pair of boots I have ever owned. Even being one size too big, they would not fit. Too narrow, and that being size 9EE. I wear 8EE. I had to buy a set of boot stretchers and soak them in fluid for a month just to get them on. I've worn them serveral times since and still they don't fit right. Save your money and buy a $50. dollar set of the Old West trucker boots. You won't go wrong and they will still last a couple of years of hard use.

I have worn Justin boots for years and bought them for my brother. He absolutely loves them. He had a very easy time on the break in period and says that they are the most comfortable boots he has ever owned. I will continue buying Justin products. I have 6 pair of Justins in my closet from lace-ups to slide on's.... would reccomend highly.... good bang for the buck!

Fair price for a pair of Justin boots. They are made well and fit perfectly. I just had to wear a thick winter sock for a day and they were ready. Definitely found my forever boot. I will buy the exact same pair when these are done.

Received the product. Very disappointed. They have been advertised as leather-made. They are not. We were under the impression that we were getting a genuine American product, not Chinese. If we knew, we could get it straight from China, and for less - they are virtually on our doorstep. The so called "cowboy boots" look more like gumboots - a far cry from the image you present through your website. We will not be buying any of your products ever again, so please stop sending us any promotional material.

Look nice, came promptly, but cut deep circles around both calves. I cannot wear these boots without thick socks that go up higher than the top of the boot. The external material cuts like a new saw blade. Be forewarned!

I always hesitate to buy shoes or boots online because I have odd sized feet (7EE). Most manufacturers don't even make that size for men. I read the reviews and liked what I saw. I followed the advice of the site and ordered a half size smaller. The length is great, the width is perfect. There is enough room for a set of gel insoles, adding to comfort. The only gripe I have is that there seems to be little or no arch support. I have flat feet from 32 years of standing on concrete floors, so arch support is crucial. The gel insoles help, but I think there should be more support built in. I have to make a conscious effort to keep my ankles from turning in.

The exchange pair arrived today. I'm sorry to say they are a disappointment (more so because it cost me $15 to return the original order, now I'll double that). The width is terribly undersize, they say "EE" but they don't even come up to an honest "D". Tight (meaning tight, not snug) even wearing the thinnest nylon socks. I wish they fit as well as the Justin London Calf boots I bought from you!

I was looking for an every day boot to kick around in. After reading all the favorable reviews, I decided on the Justin Basics Ropers. I am not disappointed. There was very little or no "break-in" period. As per Sheplers recommendation, I ordered a half size smaller than normal and found that the boots were still a little loose fitting. I added a pair of padded insoles and snugged them right up. I've rated them a 4 only because I've only had the boots a couple weeks and don't know how they will do for the long haul. I applaud Sheplers for the fast shipping. They will definitely be the first place I look when ordering like products in the future.

You get what you pay for.... Justin's made in China. Comfortable on the foot- Nice looking for work boots. Comfortable walking boot with the rubber soles. My problem is the upper is made of some questionable material that may qualify as " leather" - super stiff- kind of like those bonded leather belts you buy that are stiff and crack/split in a month. I call it Chinese particle board leather. The darn things won't soften up and break in so they just eat my shins and calves apart. I recommend to spend a little more for 100% real leather inside and out....

These boots are a great, basic, functional boot. The "runs large" in the description is true. If you have a 'chubby' foot with a high arch, these would fit you perfectly.

Very disappointed with this boot. It is a man made upper that has been covered in a fine layer of leather.no amount of wear would make these boots comfortable. NOT A GOOD PRODUCT. Justin would do well to cancel the product.

Is as advertised, and comfortable from the first time on. I like the looks of the boot, and it will probsbly be a daily wearer for me. Nothing fancy, just a plain boot, but not much money for it either. Also be sure to order half size smaller or you will have a way too big boot.

I have worn boots since I was 14. I am now 76. This is a very good reasonably priced boot from China that consists of a leather lower portion with a man made upper portion. I ordered my normal boot size and found I had to order a bigger boot sock to keep them from slipping around when I walked. Just for information.

I've been wearing Red Wing Pecos roper boots since 1963. When my last pair wore out, I decided to give the Justin's a try because of the low price. I would prefer all leather [the shank is synthetic] and made in the USA not China, but for the price, the Justin's are a reasonable compromise.

I was blown a way by how fast I received my boots it was less than a week... My only complete is the size I ordered as instructed but the boots are too big.. I am not sure what to do from here. I will order from this site again but be more careful about sizing.

These boots feel true to size - they wear exactly like the boot insert says they should. Color is very nice and they are easy to care for. I was worried about the boots feeling narrow in the toe area but they don't. The fit is nice and the sole, including the heel, is stable. All in all, an excellent pair of boots. Definitely would buy again.

On my second pair of Ropers now; and am still a bit confused with size variations. Have had both size 13D and size 10D. Neither fitted me perfectly but both were wearable; suprisingly!! Fantastic look and relatively durable. Takes very little breaking in. Its a long way to send them back from Australia.

I received the boots within 7 days which was really fast. Initial impressions were that the sole was a bit cheap looking. They are really comfortable though and the fit was spot on as per the instructions to order a 1/2 size smaller.

I use the boot mostly for riding motorcycles. But if you walk very far with it, watch out for the top of the boot--without a high sock, the boot top will slice right into your calf after just a short time walking. Maybe it will soften later. maybe.

I bought a pair of the Justain Basic Ropers to use while motorcycle riding. The fit is great and the lower heel makes them much more adaptable to this role. I have had Justain boots in the past which were used mainly for horseback riding, and thses new boots carry on the tradition wonderfullt.

Man-made upper is too stiff and top edge of boot has rough edges, therefore not very comfortable as advertized. Overall fit was good and generally comfortable on foot. Okay boot for the price, only time and use will tell if made a good purchase or not. Next pair will most likely be the full leather - USA made model instead of something made in China!

I use it as a uniform boot. It is comfortable inside, but not so great in the snow. It had some issues with cutting into my calf muscle until it stretched and the leather foot gets damaged easily. Still for the price it's not bad

Overall, they are worth their price. They don't need much of a "breaking in" and can be worn straight from the box without getting the typical boot breaking blisters like most boots give. They do tend to lose the outside coating and peel after a while. Typically the reason I have to buy new ones. At least you're not paying a lot for a new pair, but they should find a way to prevent the peeling after a few months. You get what you pay for, decent price means decent boots, but they won't last you forever. I'll keep buying them.

Sturdy boot - a few production blemishes as you would expect for a boot of this price but nothing too serious. Only issue is runs large so I have to wear extra thick socks with them - Not a good idea in our 110+ degree summers but might be OK for winter.

I just purchased these simple, rugged-looking ropers for the second time. As with the first time several years ago, there's a break-in required. The first time I wore them my chins got beat up by the rubbing of the tops of the boots. The next time I wear them I'll be sure to either wear some tall tube socks or thermal underwear to protect my legs. Once broken in, they're fine. Also, I don't care for the white stitching around the soles -- too much contrast for my taste -- so I immediately used a brown Sharpie to color the stitching. You get pretty much what you pay for. I recommend them!

Great boots at an even greater price but because I have limited flexibility in my one ankle, I wish the top of the boot shaft was a little wider, which makes it harder to put 'em on and take 'em off. Something I thought the 10" shaft would have cured for me, but I'll break 'em in anyhow...all about being cowboy.

I have been wearing Justin Boots for over 20 years,These boots are the poorest quality I have ever seen. The so called leather uppers looks more like Plastic. I don't know who came up with the white stitching on the soles, but It looks terrible.Needless I returned them for a refund. Very disappointed, will never buy another pair.

I like the boots, but you have someone else making the boots than Americans. The 10 1/2 size is now the size of a 9 1/2 and the EE is now just a D or E. I had to stretch them so I could get my foot into the boot. This happened with both pairs that I bought.

I am a rancher in SD. I work really hard and am on my feet 12 hours a day. The justins that I bought from Sheplers were made just for that. A hard day of work. They are short so your feet don't get hot and they are really comfortable.

This is the second pair, but not the last I will purchase. The Apache Bay roper is an all purpose boot, comfortable, durable and good looking. I own several pair of dress Western boots, but find I wear my ropers more often than not. I will take my time breaking in the new boots while still enjoying the older pair, which will now be relegated to work duty.

Overall these are great looking boots. Seam to be made well. Only problem is I can't wear them. The site said they run big so order a half a size smaller, so I ordered a half a size smaller than I usually wear. They ended up still being a full size to big for my foot. My son works at a ranch once a week and has gone through his first pair of boots purchased from this site. They lasted about 1.5 years. He wanted the same style again because they were wide at the toe. These boots fit nicely and seem to be quite comfortable (with the exception of needing to add some padding for standing for long periods of time.)

Black Justin Ropers are the best, perfect fit, great comfort and quality at an affordable price. Although I've worn them for years for work and everyday use, this current pair was purchased to wear at my daughters wedding. Everyone else had the rented shoes from the shop where we got our tuxes and they all wanted to know how I got nice looking ropers and they were stuck with the other shoes. After all the dancing was done at the reception they were all wishing they had followed the lead of the Father of the Bride and went with the Justin Ropers!

I wore a pair of these for most of my active duty Air Force career, where I was on my feet most of the time. Much more comfortable than lace-up oxfords. After the third re-soling the leather in the shank started to crack and they had to go. I missed them ... but now I've got them again!

This transaction was for my 14 year old nephew. I was worried about sizing but we worked it out and got them slightly bigger because he is still growing. Delivery was excellent and he is absolutely thrilled with them and they look great.

Bought two pair of these boots just before Christmas, one brown and one black. Sheplers advised to buy a 1/2 size smaller than usual and they were correct, the boots fit fine. I have purchased other boots from Sheplers and have been pleased with the price and service.

Looked just like it did in the photo, gave to my dad for Xmas and he has been wearing them non stop says they are super comfortable. He wears them when riding and working on the farm, as well as casually! fyi I ordered half a size smaller like recommended and he still thought they were a little big.

I ride a motorcycle, and work in a business casual environment. The finish on these boots allow them to pass as "dress shoes" while giving me the extra protection I want while riding. An oil resistant sole was a requirement. I ordered a size according to the Shepler's recommendation and they fit great. Upon close inspection the boots probably will not win any qaulity awards - the leather seems slightly different between right and left boots, and the lining of the upper just looks stiff and cheap. We shall see how they hold up over time - but so far, for the money, I am very happy with the boots.

I have been wearing these for the past couple of weeks and these are by far the most comfortable work boots I've ever worn! I really hate taking them off-honestly! I think I would wear them to bed if I could. Nice looking boots too. Don't pass on these beauties!

Over all, I'd buy this boot again. I've been wearing boots for 35 years. This boot is a little loose in the instep. The length seams just right. The permanent insole is soft, durable, and comfortable. Considering that the last pair of Justin ropers I bought had a leather insole, this is great. I teach and stand on them all day.

I already wrote u!! But will do again! I wanted LEATHER round toed roper boots, but u sent me plastic boots w a supposedly leather lined shaft for $90. Boy, what a shaft!!!! Right boot doesnt match left. Plastic texture on R boot is dimpled orange peel plastic, while L boot is smooth. Sucks that your description said they were all leather for that sale price. These are essentially expensive rain boots! I would never spend $91.00 for rain boots!!! Are u kidding!?!? The shape is right, but who wants to wear black plastic dress boots!?! U suck and so does your wacky ad saying these are LEATHER.

This is my first ever ropper boots and I am very happy with them. The only problem I have so far is that they rub my legs at the top of the boots. I am not sure if this is a common problem but all I need to do is wear long socks

I bought these boots after my soles fell off my old hand me down Justin boots.They are very comfortable, but after just five months I wore a hole in them. The only time I would recommend them is if you dance on the streets.

1st pair i owned had softer rubber sole that lasted almost 2 yrs . 2nd pair the leather peeled off all over the boots , they gave me a replacement pair but they had a harder sole and the heel on the right boot developed a hole . [...]

I bought these boots primarily for motorcycle riding. They are perfect for that. They are comfortable for general wear and provide the protection I need on the bike. I like the style and the fit is perfect. I sized them according to Sheplers guidelines.

I absolutely love them. Size was the one I always wear 7.5D and fit was perfect. Boots have held up in extreme conditions of Afghanistan where i wear them daily.I should have ordered 2 pair but they last and last!

These boots are fine. They fit well. But Justin’s always fit my feet well. What happened to the leather soul though? These have a rubber soul. And I like leather.
