I went with other reviewers recommending to size down. Athletic shoes I normally wear an 8 1/2 so I went with an 8 in the boots. They fit great. Snug midfoot to the toe, and very sturdy. Great to dress up or down. I wear a slightly heavier sock with them but I think as my feet swell a touch I could wear just a normal sock. I thought the heel felt like it was a bit big when tried them on but after wearing them they fit perfect! So glad I found these!!

Love, love, love these Durango Harness Western boots! They are stylish and ever so comfy and I can wear them almost anywhere. I wear them to work with casual business clothes and with skirts and all around town. These harness boots also make great motorcycle riding boots! Not to mention Durango Boots pricing is very reasonable! Durango will be the only brand of boots i will ever purchase again! I'm loving all the other styles as well. One last thing about these boots: They run a little big so I had to get a 1/2 size smaller than what I normally wear.

I looked everywhere for a brown harness and not many places sell that color anymore. I'm very happy w/ the make of this boot. Color is right on and comfort is better than average. The only thing that is off is the sizing. I usually wear a 7 but that was too big. The 6.5 fit well so I would order at least a half size down. These boots were comfy right out of the box. I think they run a tad large. All the reviews I read said to order my regular shoe size, which I did. I usually wear a 9 so I ordered a 9. I think an 8.5 might have been better.

My order arrived within a few days of purchase- all the way to Scotland, fast & efficient service. Boots are so comfortable, first time on and they felt like your favourite slippers. I love my new boot[...]What a great surprise! However I knew from previous experience not to go by the size chart for Australian sizes. Aussie Ladies are the same size as U.S ladies for boots! Otherwise I would have ended up with size 9 instead of size 7. Rock on Sheplers!!

I had a pair of these when I was a kid and loved them. I just picked a new pair (as an adult) and had read reviews of the "other" brand harness boot. For at least $100 less, these are really NICE and nice and comfy right of the box! They look great too. Solidly made. I am a very happy camper! Highly recommend.

Just received my Durango City boots and slipped them on. The reviews I found recommended ordering a 1/2 size down and they were spot on! I usually wear 7, ordered 6.5, they're perfect with a light sock. I love them right outa the box. The medium width is fine, I have moderately wide feet. The color is as stated, leather quality is very good. The shaft is close to the calf, which I prefer, because they'll look great with anything from jeans to shorts!

I love these boots! The leather is super soft. Inserts would have been nice, but overall super comfortable and great looking!

I wear a 6.5 and ordered this boot in that size. I can easily wear warm socks without the boots feeling tight. The leather is thick but yeilds and the boots are comfortable after 30 minutes of wear. I feel they are a good value for the price.

I recently got my boots via the internet and was SO excited to put them on......although the website says to buy your normal shoe size- I found them to be a size TOO big so I couldn't even wear them. Bummer! I had to turn around and spend $ on shipping to exchange them for a smaller size BUT I can't wait to get them in the mail again! They look very rock-n-roll. =)

Sorry this was the 2nd pair I ordered and could not keep as neither fit. Unfortunately I have a wider foot and am unable to fit into any of your boots. I do not need clothes or jewelry so now I have a $200 gift card I can't use.

I bought this boots and followed the reviews to buy one half size smaller. I am a size 7 and I bought size 6.5. The boots were huge and I would need to go down to a 5.5 to fit my size 7 foot! I recommend going down a whole size! The boots are cute overall, heavy and durable, which is why I give them 3 stars.

These are high quality boots. I'm still happy that I bought them however, they are going to take some time to break in. The size was perfect in lenghth but a bit narrow at the widest part of mt foot and I have skinny feet. Otherwise they would have gotten a higher rating.

I have wanted these boots for 5 years and finally scraped up the money and the gumption to commit. They are even better than I had expected, very high quality leather, soft and strong. They seem to fit a bit narrow but may be stretching to fit my feet a bit in the toes. They've got great traction--maybe too much for something like dancing where you want to slide, but for everyday wear they seem above and beyond my expectations. They did come with a small (dime sized) imperfection in the leather that looks shiny, like a melted plastic drop or something...but I am not one to demand perfection, especially from things like boots, so I'm not worried about it. All in all, I am glad I spent the money (128 with shipping and all) on these gorgeous boots.

These are beautiful boots. Unfortunately the shaft is too narrow for my calves. I’m so sad because the foot bed is super comfortable. I will have to return them. I’m so disappointed. It seems so difficult to find harness boots with wider shafts too.

Love these boots, true to the size, wished the leather was shiny, love the brown, just wished it would come in an oiled version. I used mink oil and it darkened them, but to a very nice neutral dark brown. Added the custom made orthotics and I'm wearing and working in them 8-11 hrs a day. Hope to keep them a long time.

Got these today, slipped them on and have been wearing them since. I love them. They look great and feel good and are excellent quality, looking forward to when they are broke in. I wear a shoe size 9.5 and a boot size 9. They are just the right fit.

This is a decent boot. Pretty well made though I got a good discount. Full price is too much given the quality. They run really large. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe. Bought these in an 8 and they are still big. I get rubbing in the heel without two pairs of thick socks. The one thing that really bugs me is they stuck a plastic tag through the leather of the shaft and it left a hole in the shaft. Who does that? The hanging tags attached with a string was fine - you don’t need to puncture the shaft.

I usually purchase Cabela's Harness Boots, but they no longer carry the black harness boots. This is the first time I have purchased Durango boots, and I wish I had always purchased your boots. There is no break in period. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I have mentioned this brand to everyone that asks me about my boots. Thanks for a great boot. Selena.

Too bad that Durango brand and all the others don't make the shaft bigger. Not one of these boots has a shaft bigger than 13.5 inches. I'm not a big person but 15 inch calf doesnt fit too well in a 13.5 inch shaft.

I love these boots. I had a pair in brown that took 5 years to wear out and now I've moved to the black. They are durable, well-made, quality, no-slip, water resistant, sexy, and make me feel like a superhero. I've worn them almost every day in that time (in rainy Portland) as a waitress, barista, florist, and in an office setting. They are my everything shoe. So worth the price.

This boot is worn with boot leg jeans and is used for work in the out door retail markets. The boot will look better with age and will only look more realistic to its true classic design lines. There is nothing like getting a new pair of boots, especially this quality. There is nothing bad about a good boot!!!!! (The only bad thing about this boot is it will last at least five years, so the trick is to have many pairs to experience the new boot often scenario)

This boot is a great quality boot. The leather is a thick leather and these is a heavy great thread (the type of sole you'd expect on a work boot for oiled areas) and traction. I wear a 9 but in Durangos I wear a 9.5 so I went this route in sizing. Due to the toe not being rounded I'd recommend going up a .5 in size for socks that may be thicker. I have a long, slim foot so maybe this helps.

I really wanted these boots for long long time. They remind me of my old Frye boots back in 1970's! Easy to take on and off, wear well w socks, very chunky, walking different when compared w high heel feminine boots. Stability is terrific in these rubber bottoms.

I was looking for harness boots and tried a few brands, but some brands were uncomfortable. Fryes are too narrow, X element were too hard, etc.... Then I tried these and found them to be very comfortable. They do run 1/2 size large, so I could wear 1/2 size smaller than my normal size. The color and style is right on, love the brown ones! and I like how they are not too wide in the shaft, but fit close to the leg. But I was sad that they were so short.... Frye has 12 R and 15 R for example, 12" and 15 ' tall shaft, but the women's boots are too narrow for the normal human foot. I was hoping that Durango might recreate this style in a taller style? I am sure there would be a lot of sales b/c I read reviews in which people expressed this same thing! Otherwise, very nice boots!

Love my Durango boots...they run a bit large (for me half a size) but other than that they are extremely comfortable and great looking. My experience with customer service when exchanging was refreshing, as they were very accommodating and service was prompt and polite. I will not hesitate to order again.

Bought these for my girlfriend she loves them. This is the third pair she has bought 2 pairs of cow girl boots on our last visit to Florida and is really pleased with them.

Completely obsessed! I first saw these on The Walking Dead show worn by the main character Lori Grimes. I searched forever and thought for sure that they were the Dingo gaucho nutty mule boots, so I bought them. To my disappointment, they were horribly stiff and uncomfortable. Not to mention the tops of the boots rubbed my feet leaving huge sores. I tried for months to break them in, then finally gave up and sold them. THESE boots ARE the boots from TWD and a completely different boot all together. They look exactly like the Dingos, but are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn (I own over 25 pairs of western boots). They do run a 1/2 size large. I actually ordered my normal size 7.5 and a size 7 to compare. I should mention that I always add an insert to my boots for extra comfort due to my arthritic hip. Once I added the boot insert, the 7.5 actually fit like a dream. I could totally wear the 7's but I wanted a tad bit of wiggle room in the toe box (for those hot days when your feet swell or hormones kick in). If you have a wider foot, I would still size down by a 1/2 either way. I am so glad I found these! I have a feeing they won't be leaving my feet anytime soon. I may even have to get a back up pair!!! :)

First I thought these boots were made in the USA. They’re made in China. So I wasn’t pleased with that detail which was left out. So the boots are okay. I like the look. They do seem roomy, but I believe that it the square toes as the instep and heel fit where they should.

These boots are just about replicas of the boots that Lori Grimes wears in the AMC show The Walking Dead. I am obsessed with the show and the shoes! I will be watching the season premire wearing my new boots! LOVE!!!

Whatever size u wear just go done a half size smaller bcuz the boots run a little big, i wear a size 8 and i purchased a 7 1/2 fits very good.

Calf shaft too small. I would expect a kids to be a snug fit, but not women's.

These are now my favorite boots. Too cool for words! I took the advise of previous boot buyers and ordered 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear. To get your best fit, definately order a 1/2 size smaller than what is your norm.
