This was not a quality controlled product. The crown ridges were rubbed/worn, the sweatband was not centered and there was excess glue protruding from the decorative buckle. Returned.

Great hat! The felt is so nice and has no blemishes. The hat band is tightly fitted and is made of quality leather. I am looking forward to wearing this hat until I need to replace it. The quality of the shape will hold for a long time. When I was researching the black felt Cody James hats, there were many types to choose from. After carefully investigating, I found that this one is the best option out of them all. It has a traditional Cattlemen's crease with a wide brim that will be perfect for rodeos, concerts, brandings, or the Western way of life. Highly recommend!

Perfect fit

I like the for and style, the hat band leaves a lot to be desired. The first one the tongue on the end was crooked and fell off the first time I wore it. Took it back and they ordered a new hat for me. The stitching on the new one's band started coming out, again on the first time wearing it.

The hat is nice but disappointed in the fact that it wasn’t shipped in an actual hat box. It showed up with an awkward crease from being banged around. Now I have to bring it in to have it steamed and I have no idea when that will be since I live in the country no wear near a store. The whole reason for ordering online.

The hat arrived looking like it was taken from the shelf of a dirty store where customers are allowed to grab and fold the hats however they want. I was told if I tried to shape it in-store I wouldn't be able to return it, how is that if it's not in its original form when I got it? A Boot barn employee tried shaping it and the hat didn't hold its new shape although it looks better than how I got it. It had hair all over it, dust and other debree and now it's clean and in better shape but not the shape I wanted and I can't return it! The band isn't brown, it's more of a plastic grey as well.
