I am in love with these boots. It doesn't matter if they are riding, working or rain boots, the Fit is EVERYTHING. My foot slid into these boots and the fit was PERFECT and it felt dreamy. I was like a kid who gets boots for Christmas and refuses to take them off. (I may have slept in them one night). I wear them even when it's not raining. EVERYONE comments about them. I am a walking/talking Carhart Add!!!! Wish I could afford them in brown but these were a treat. Luckily, I hit gold

I ordered the boots in my size, but I was unable to get my foot into the boot. I will be returning them. I didn't receive a packing slip in the box.

Awesome boots. Got 8.5, I am usually 8-8.5. I am a 8.5 in Asics running shoes. My heel moved around a little at first but settled in nicely after a couple of wears. Think 8 would be too small. If they weren’t so expensive I would have bought the brown by now too. I wear them for doing firewood and cutting trails in the woods. I have normal/average feet. If you have thick or wide feet be prepared to potentially return these, but I still say it’s worth a try.

At first I thought these were going to be too stiff. But I wore them around for a week and they got more and more comfortable. They're the only boots I want to wear now. I love the enforced toe, and the fit and shape of the boot. They're great for outdoor work and warm without being too warm.

Boots overall built well and the soles are comfortable. However, the material on the backside near my heal and Achilles tendon seems to bunch up and has rubbed blisters after wearing for almost a month. Even when putting on have to be careful or the back seems to "bunch" when putting on. Should have returned immediately upon noticing that versus wearing to try and break in. Just went back to my Justin steel toe instead. Sad I spent what I did on these.

Vert well made. Sturdy and perfect for construction sites. They run a tad bit small so if you are planning to wear with thick socks I would size up.

Ive has these for a week now. I work in a kennel and deal with a lot of water to clean them as well as concrete and tile. I love that i dont slip in these boots on wet tile like other similar boots. They are flexable with is amazing because ive had boots split where they bend when squating. My feet also didnt hurt nearly as much as they normally would in a pair of new boots worn all day long. They were a little tight at first but the leather loosened up quickly and they are very comfortable. I also love that the sole is sewn on, with extra on the toes to ensure it wont come off, ots also a thick sole so i dont have to worry about them wearing out fast. My only complaint is that they are meant to be water proof but my feet are still getting wet. Im going to try sealing them with an oil and hopefully that will fix it. Id suggest getting the next size up with boots (you wear size 8 1/2, id get 9). I gave 4 stars because the water is a major thing in my job and it is extremely unpleasant to work 8 hrs or more with wet feet, but otherwise the boots are amazing.

These things are tough and keep your feeties toasty A bit tight across the top of my foot, but they will break in I hope

This is the third time I have purchased these boots. I do fire inspections on construction sites, so I needed boots that are not only comfortable, but waterproof as well. I will buy these boots from now until the end of my career - that's how much I like them! The only downfall I see is they only truly last about 6 months before they start getting uncomfortable, but I am walking in them for close to 40 straight hours a week, so I think that's pretty good!

I already had the brown boots, so when they came out with the black ones, I had to have them. We are building a house (literally, ourselves) and don’t wear anything but Carhartt! My husband has been wearing them for years, and when I saw how durable they were, and how long they lasted, I was sold on the brand. Now everything I wear is Carhartt!

These seem like good boots, but the tread is so thick it makes you like 1.5 inches taller....and the shaft is kind of narrow so you cannot tuck winter pants in easily if you are working outside.

I bought these as an in-between for my rain boots and snow boots. My (name brand) rain boots are uncomfortable to walk in, which makes me avoid wearing them in wet conditions, and my snow boots feel thick and bulky. These are the perfect combination and comfy to walk in. The first day that I wore them, I had a friend tell me she loved them and ordered the same pair!

They are a bit tight in the collar when getting them on, but I use a shoe horn and every day as I wear them in it gets easier, I'm sure in a few days I won't need the shoe horn. These boots are much more supportive in the foot than rubber muck boots. The insole is removable. The permanent foot bed has an amazing high density foam sewn in. Rugged, stylish, Carhartt nailed it!!

Love these tough boots. I can wear them in any weather, or terrain and they actually are very comfortable. I love that they also have the steal toe. I did listen to the other reviews and I went up a half size. I'm glad I did because they fit perfectly with even a heavy sock.

This is the first time I have every needed or wanted a pair of work boots and I am very happy with my decision!!

As a full time Mom and Dad working 4 jobs at 9000+ feet here in CO, I can tell you these boots cover it all. Literally from running a warehouse in the evenings, to construction work, to mucking in and around the greenhouse, to the bit of style paired with a cute sweater or flannel, these are my new go to boots. Hope they'll come available in brown! I've gotten a lot of compliments on them from guys and gals alike. They handled the first snow of the season just fine, stayed warm and dry. Can't say enough great things about them! Only complaint, if you can call it that, is after getting home from hours of wearing these through multiple jobs, my feet come out of these just a bit sweaty. But, I like thick socks, so could go hand in hand.

I wear a size 9 in women’s but in this boot I got a size 9.5. I should’ve have gone up to a size 10 because these boots are very tight at the top of the foot part. These boots keep my feet warm all day long and that’s just what I wanted from them , after I broke them in they were perfect.

These are great boots, true to size, warm, waterproof, and easy to add a heel build on one side for my shorter leg.
