Very warm and absolutely perfect for winter fits very nicely on woman’s body

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this jacket for work (Hunting Guide) due to the fact that it is not only green, but has a nice dark sherpa that won't stand out in the woods. The fit and warmth are great! The only thing to know before you buy that is different from advertised is the front pockets ARE NOT sherpa lined! The front pockets do have a warm cloth lining (not sure what the material is called), but it is not sherpa. The main reason I mention it is that was a big reason I bought it, for the winter months. The pockets are warm, just not sherpa. The rating is 5 stars because the jacket is awesome! It's just an advertising discrepancy...can't say enough good about Carhartt! Love Carhartt!

This a a great Carhartt jacket. True to size. Well made. Should last a long time. I wished the zipper was a little beefier. When I zip up the zipper snags on cloth on the side of the zipper. Maybe if the zipper was a little heavier or a little further away from the cloth it would not snag every time I zip it up. Annoying.

A good jacket for warmth and snow also, I found it quite waterproof too. The bottom of the back of the jacket even has an extended flap that will cover your lower back areas. I found that the zipper was not large enough to grasp easily and started a little bit tough and the lining of the sleeves was not as warm as the remainder of the jacket which was really toasty. The hood was also large and quite warm, all in all I thought it was a great buy and a good jacket.

This is a great jacket, and just what I was looking for. It is more snug in the midsection (I ordered a medium) than I would have expected completed to prior Carhartt items I’ve owned. I really like that the back is longer, I’m always trustees when the back of a jacket rides up when sitting or bending over. My only complaint are the loose threads on the wrist cuff. It did this about a week after I started wearing it. Hopefully will not get worse. Overall would definitely recommend

For the most part this is a nice warm coat. I only wear it once it drops below 40 degrees. Only issue is the zipper. It’s too small/weak for the thickness/heaviness of this coat. It’s tough to get the zipper started if it’s dark, or your hands are already cold. No way you’re zipping it up with gloves on. Carhartt should have noticed this lapse in design quality immediately. It’s bad enough it isn’t made in America anymore…

as others have said on here fits well across shoulders and arm length but bottom is pretty loose and wide. Im not a thin guy at 5'9" and 205 lbs but just went on a walk with the dogs and wind blew right up the back making it pretty cold. I think if I had a bunch of layers or sweatshirt on under it would have been fine but for a tshirt it was pretty chilly

Very comfortable. I was surprised by how comfortable it is. I have an older coat with no hood and it has always been a bit stiff. It is plenty warm.

Love the look and comfort of this jacket. Only thing I would change is the interior flap behind the zipper. It’s too small and catches when zipping up the jacket. Other than that, perfect for our use!

I'm 5 10" 220 pounds, athletic built. measurements are 56" chest and 34" waist. I usually wear a XL jacket. in this case I had to go with the Large. I purchased 3 different sizes online because I have a hard time finding a jacket that fits well. I purchased a Large, Large Tall & XL. The large fit perfect (I wish it was 2" longer), Large tall was perfect length but the sleeves were too long, XL was way too baggy. this Jacket keeps me super warm. love it

I really really like it, but I measured according to the size chart and it’s still huge. I kind of wanted a cute, well fitting zip-up to wear out but I absolutely swim in it. If you order it big, know can be super uncomfortable to sit down when it bends and folds up, but I still like it and will wear it for yard work instead.

Fits great. Is warm. Seems durable. Zipper is tough.

I bought it for winter camping. First time I used it it was windy and cold, it acted like a wind breaker and I was so glad it had a hood. I plan on using it the next winter and many more in the future.

It is very warm, the sherpa- lining is is very comfortable. This has a more fitted feel, so I would recommend going up a size if you wear a Carhartt hoodie underneath.

I bought an XL regular men’s. Excellent quality and warmth. Zipper is strong and thick. I will never go back to other brands. Should’ve gone with Carhartt a long time ago. I couldn’t be happier!

Fits perfectly. Very updated and stylish compared to my still durable and wearable Carhartt coat from 20yrs ago. Warm, but not overbearingly so. Good for early winter and spring in Vermont. Appears durable, however, time will tell.

Bought as a gift the medium is huge! However the jacket itself looks/ feels great. Will have to return and hope a small pops up in the small

Great winter coat! Especially in the morning. This jacket gives you the ability to move around with out exposing your back when bending over. The fit is to size you don’t need to order a size up or down. For a coat that will last you forever it’s worth every penny. My last Carhartt is still in my closet from 1987!

Not extremely heavy nice lining inside. My husband loved his new jacket. He is a cathartic fan.

Little short in length for me as I’m 6’4” but not short enough that I’m unhappy with it. Arm length is great but sits a bit higher up than I’d like at waist. Otherwise it’s a great coat.

Let me start by saying I order a bunch of stuff online and I NEVER leave reviews. I’m a simple guy, not picky at all. I usually like the stuff I get just fine. But this jacket fits me better than any jacket I ever bought in my entire life. I’m a tall guy who’s torso is longer than my legs. Super long gorilla arms. This is the first jacket that keeps my mid section covered at all times. It actually goes down to the ends of my arms and STAYS THERE WHEN I LIFT THEM OUT WIDE. I have huge hands and have to wear 3x mechanix gloves. The pockets on this jacket are so roomy I can get my hands in there with gloves and still have room. I have never been so tickled with a jacket in all my life. Thank you so much Carhart.

Excellent quality. Great style! Very durable,we've already had to wash it twice because it's fabulous to work in snowy cold weather. wash as well and is great to keep warm when you're outside

All in all I love the coat but hate the zipper!! It is not the heavy duty zipper I have been accustomed to for the 30 plus years. I have nerve problems in my hands and can't really look down see. Have ruptured disc in my neck and a hard time seeing any way. I have MACTEL Type 1 in my right eye. In short, I am saying I have always been able to zip my Carhartt coat without looking or being able to feel much but know you have the zipper in my hand. I finally got the coat for me , I thought. Such a heavy duty coat with a whimpy zipper. I have had the coat (2) weeks and am already having problems in the first 4". I think teeth will be coming out before to much longer. Just look at the ad for this coat. Shows a guy deep in snow with high winds. Is there a way to get a zipper upgrade for this coat?

Originally ordered a size too big (based off the size calculator quiz results), and returns through the mail were easy and fast. Went down to a size M and it fits like a glove!

My new favorite coat! I’m about 5’10”, 250 lbs with wide shoulders and a bit of a gut. I’m usually a large in most coats, but went with XL on this one so I could layer underneath. Not too bulky, very warm. The only thing that would improve this coat would be the ability to cinch up the waist area to keep cold air out.

well ya see couldn’t tell you. i got it for my boyfriend but he broke up with me the week after. so i guess you can say it’s cursed? but also very nice bc he wore it when he came to say goodbye. i was very cold bc it happened outside, but he was warm, i’m sure. so i guess i’m glad he was warm ? maybe not? taking boyfriend applications who give their girls jackets when they are cold.

I really, really like it. It is much heave river and warmer than a Carhartt synthetic foam hoodie I have. And a suspect it will be a lot more resistant to brush fire sparks. The zipper works OK but I wish it was a larger guage so it was easier to “start”.
