Each boot is handmade following an incredible 110-step process. To meet the rigorous demands of their designs, Old Gringo produces and tans its own leathers, developing exclusive textures, colors, and finishes. The Checruda short western boot features a distressed tan leather foot under a matching 10" leather shaft. Heart shaped wingtip cutout. Sanded leather sole. 1 3/4" stacked leather heel. Single stitched welt. Modern snip toe.


Hand finished boots - no two pairs will be exactly alike. You may notice that the toes of the boots, even with the weight of your feet, will still be turned upwards - more so than standard cowboy boots. Not to worry. This is a part of the finishing proces

I was so excited when these boots arrived I actually danced around the house. I've always wanted a pair of cowboy boots and these are too fun. Was leary because I have a narrow foot without much of an instep and other cowboy boots I tried were always on the big side. These fit really well- I didn't even have to add pads and inserts like I usually have to in order to make them comfortable.

1.) Brush off dirt or dust with a damp cloth or brush.
2.) Apply a delicate leather conditioner, such as Bick 4 leather conditioner, gently with a boot cloth.
Note, to continue the desired aging process of "vintage" leather boots, do not use leather conditioner.
