In my opinion, these boots are better made than the Tony Lama caiman tail boots. I first ordered the Tony Lamas and I was not impressed with the quality, and they fit very poorly. I do generally like Tony Lama boots, and I have pair that fits well and which is very well made. But, I think the Nocona's are worth the extra money.

Great looking boot. Exactly what I would expect from Nocona. The ONLY slightly negative thing I would say, is the D width is just a little too narrow....barely, barely too narrow. So slight, that I didn't feel like I could rate it as "Feels Too Narrow" on the ratings. I own 10 pairs of boots, all makes and styles, and a D has been perfect on every pair....this one is just ever so slightly too narrow. Definitely not enough to affect me wearing them, though. If some D's are normally a little too tight for you, you might want an E in this one.

I only wear these boots on special occasions because of their cost. I also kept the box they were shipped in so I can store them in it. I do think that it would be nice to receive info. on the care and upkeep for these special boots.

1.) Brush off dirt or dust with a damp cloth.
2.) Use saddle soap if boots are extra dirty.
3.) Apply reptile cleaner and conditioner.
4.) Apply a delicate cream polish, such as neutral. Please note: For snakeskin boots only, apply conditioner and cream with the grain.
5.) Brush or buff the boots to a shine.
6.) Apply water and stain protector if you wish.
7.) Use edge dressing on leather outsoles and heels (not necessary for manmade/rubber outsoles and heels).
