Sam Lucchese began his American dream in 1880, when he and his brother Joseph moved to the U.S.A. from their home country of Italy. They worked for a boot shop in San Antonio Texas, providing boots to men from nearby Fort Sam and area ranchers. By the year 1883, the Lucchese family in America was six brothers strong, and the Lucchese Boot Company was established. As time passed, brother Sam Lucchese took over the business, and his son Cosimo Lucchese joined him. Where Sam Lucchese was the business visionary, Cosimo Lucchese was a quality perfectionist and thus, Lucchese Boot Company's reputation for excellence grew. America learned the Lucchese name as Army officers stationed in Texas moved to other parts of the country with their custom Lucchese boots. Eventually, a third generation joined Lucchese Boot Company. Sam Lucchese, Jr. (Cosimo's son) brought with him an exacting passion for properly fitting the human foot. Sam Lucchese, Jr. believed, "In making a pair of boots or shoe for a man, we have to be aware that our product is his foundation." Lucchese Boot Company took that calling very seriously. Soon, presidents, kings, and Hollywood stars came calling for custom fit and handmade Lucchese boots. Lucchese boots have graced the feet of greats like James Garner, Abbott & Costello, Bing Crosby, Lyndon B. Johnson, and so many U.S. presidents thereafter. Still today, as part of the Arena Brands, Inc. family operating in El Paso, Texas, Lucchese boots are boots of distinction, thanks to the Lucchese precision fit, highest quality standards, and absolutely unrivaled beauty.
