    I initially compared these socks to Thorlo and Dan Post CCs, putting the CCs #1 and Thorlo #2, but after wearing the JOWs a bit more I'd say that the CCs and JOWs tie for #1: CCs for being thicker and thus more "cushier"; JOWs for being more breathable but still comfortable. Both stay up all day. The Thorlos seemed to be more comfortable over the JOWs, at first, but after washing and drying a few times seem to have a lost a bit of the staying-up power. In the Thorlos the rather thin upper sock mesh maybe loses some of its elastic hold, whereas the JOWs has the lighter mesh for the upper sock but also has a tighter mesh area again towards the top which retains holding power much better. The CCs are mostly uniformly tight woven all throughout, and the cotton is a softer spun fabric than the JOWs. When buying again I'll get both the CCs and the JOWs, and will withold more judgement on the Thorlos until I'm convinced about their durability in repeated washings (their instructions come with special wash and dry conditions that I find incompatible with my normal loads).
