Retail Store Manager

Mesquite, TX

Our Retail Store Managers are our business partners and responsible for all functional areas of operation in their store such as planning, organizing, directing and controlling all activities necessary to operate a profitable store. The Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the store by ensuring that the store meets its goals and standards in terms of financial performance, customer satisfaction, visual merchandising, store operations, staff training and development, and in maintaining the overall appearance of the store. The Store Manager is expected to display and encourage selling skills that lead to high sales productivity, and to motivate staff members to meet company established goals. Areas of Responsibilities: • Operational Responsibilities • Visual Merchandising and Display • Store Financial Goals • Loss Prevention • Recruitment • Training, Development and Supervision of Staff Minimum Require Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field of study or relevant level of retail management experience is required. • At least 2+ years of Retail Management experience. • Prior experience recruiting and staffing. • Proficient level of knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong knowledge of visual merchandising. • Strong problem solving skills and being able to think on your feet in a fast paced selling environment. • Must be willing to work 45 to 50 hours per week on average. • Will be required to work weekends, holidays and peak seasonal periods.

This is new position and will be directly responsible for handling all functional areas of Human Resources. The Human Resources Director will directly report to the Vice President of Human Resource. So if you are a seasoned Human Resource professional with strong skills in recruiting and talent development, Sheplers wants to hear from you. Job Responsibilities: •Creatively designs recruiting tools and resources. Manages recruiting programs for of store management, college interns and corporate management. •Manages all on-boarding procedures to ensure all new employees successfully integrate into their new roles. •Assist with organizational development of store employees through training programs such as sales training, internship training and management development training. •Develops and maintains career path plans for high performers at all levels of the organization. •Handles all employee relations matters for the company by managing employee complaints and Sheplers openline program. •Ensures governmental legal compliance through management of company policies and procedures. Position Requirements: •Must have 3 to 5 years prior Human Resources management experience. •A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related Business degrees is essential. •Must have a strong background in recruiting and training/development. •Prior HR experience in a retail environment is strongly preferred. •General prior retail experience is a plus.

Special Events Manager

Sheplers Inc. is currently seeking a Special Events Manager for our Marketing division. Our Special Events Manager position is responsible for managing all retail special events for Sheplers Inc. So if you love traveling to tradeshows and events, then Sheplers wants to hear from you! Job Duties: • Traveling to all western lifestyle and rodeo related events to manage and be hands-on for set up and takedown of booths and tents. • Manages budgets and budgetary processes for all the special events. • Presents ideas and concepts for participation in special events program to the retail marketing team and senior management. • Manages and plans calendar for events throughout the business cycle including recapping performance of events for presentation. Requirements: • 5 plus years experience managing special events/promotional activities • 3-5 years experience managing subordinates • Previous experience working with facility/venue management • Ability to multi-task and work multiple events simultaneously • 3-5 years of retail sales/management experience • Must be able to work independently • Must be able to work weekends • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds

Sheplers Inc. is currently seeking a Shipper for our Distribution Center. Our Distribution Center Shippers are primarily responsible the use of a bar code scanner gun determine shipping specifications for all outgoing customer parcels and close orders. Job Duties: • Daily use scanning bar code system on 1000 to 4000 packages. • Standing in station for 8 to 10 hours per day. • Knowledgeable in freight carrier systems i.e. UPS, Fed Ex, etc. • Processing end of day reports for freight carriers and accounting team. Requirements: • Strong computer skills are required. • Ability to lift and sort parcels weighing on an average of 5 pounds for correct shipping. • Ability to stay focused on CRT screen for long periods of time. • Good hand - eye coordination. • Ability to lift a maximum of 70 pound

General Accounting Manager

Wichita, KS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required • Must have a minimum of three to five years of experience in Accounting. • A minimum or three years of prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or other electronic Accounting software is strongly preferred, • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel is essential. • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. • Must be detail oriented and can work in fast paced environment.
