Dickies workwear has a rich history. On March 11, 1922, Charles Nathan Williamson, C. Don Williamson, and Colonel E. E. Dickie purchased the U.S. Overall Company of Fort Worth, Texas, and two days later changed the name to the Williamson-Dickie Mfg Co. Dickies workwear started with only 35 people in a frame building on Boaz Street in Fort Worth and within a few years had more than 400 employees.

In 1926, the Dickies brand name became the company's registered trademark. It was during these early years in the 1920s that Dickies created its signature product - the Twill Work Pant. These durable, twill pants remain a best selling workwear today. Since Williamson-Dickie Mfg.
