These jeans are in US sizing. You will likely need the size 6. Keep in mind that these jeans are made of 74% cotton/25% polyester/1% spandex, so they may stretch. The second number in the sizing is the inseam. 30" (short), 32" (average), 34" (long) inseams

When you see the description 30" in Wrangler women's jeans, it always refers to the inside leg length not the waist measurement. Women's jeans in Wranglers are sized by the number sizing 2,4,6, or 3/4, 5/6 etc. as in dress sizes not waist measurement. Men's jeans and other women's brands such as Levis tend to use the waist measurement for sizing such as 28" etc. # I personally find that sizing based on waist measurement not helpful as jeans don't go to the real waistline anyway and must fit your hips#. Wranglers sizing is very reliable.

These jeans come in a size 8. You just need to determine the correct length that you would need. Ex. 8 30 is size 8 jeans with a 30" length. Below is a link to our sizing guide that will help you determine how to measure your inseam.

I wear an 8 short and I found that the size 5 short in Cruel Girl Georgia Relaxed is a perfect fit, even better than an 8. They are great jeans. The 5 would be perfect for you. Since they are relaxed, the waist is about the same as an 8 misses in other brands. I am only 5 foot 2 and wear the 30 inch inseam with boots.

The rise is that measurement from the crotch seam up to the top of the jeans, and this one finishes at about the belly button which makes it a natural or mid rise. High rise would go right to the real waistline as in 70's jeans.
